We stayed in the twin room (2 doubles) and had a great experience from start to finish. Despite there being no onsite parking, there was plenty very close by and staff were helpful and prepared for this. The room was light, clean and comfortable and suited us perfectly. The heating was a bit tired but we weren’t cold. Make sure you book in for dinner as the pub/restaurant is bustling with business but we weren’t disturbed at all in the room upstairs. The food was good and reasonably priced with different offers each day. Here, again, all staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and easy with all staff amenable to needs of residents. We enjoyed the breakfast lounge upstairs on our first morning and then were a bit lazier and went for a later breakfast in the bar the next day. Both were an excellent experience. The 11am checkout gave us a leisurely morning to finish off a lovely stay. Thank you!!

All the staff were friendly and polite, the food was absolutely fantastic. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of space. The bed was really comfy and most importantly clean and fresh. Glad we had a table booked for dinner the day we arrived as the dining room was full and no spare tables. Easy to see why it was full, everything we had was delicious, and service was attentive. Booked it for the following night after our first experience and wasn't let down, different staff but same high standard.

Only complaint and it's pretty trivial is my partner could have been done with a mirror in the room rather than just the bathroom for doing her hair and also a couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang a towel would have been handy. But if that's the only complaint it's nothing really.

Close to things I needed as a hiker, great food selection for dinner and breakfast. The workers I interacted with were by far the best I have interacted with on my trek across Scotland! Clean room, WORKING hot water from BOTH the tub and shower.

No fan in room. Boy did it get hot in my room. Even with the window open and a nice breeze. I felt like I was in an over. Also WiFi, no coverage upstairs. Seems like an easy fix, but never done.

Room was excellent, recently decorated and very clean Superb shower and comfortable bed Breakfast was really nice with quality produce. Evening meal in the bar area was excellent washed down with some nice real ale for me and wine for my wife. If we visit this area again we will try and book the Airlie Arms

Could not fault anything, Even lack of carpark was not a problem as there was a free carpark only a few meters away

The room was very clean and quiet. The bathroom was room was newly fitted out and decorated. The dining facilities next door in the pub were good and convenient. The staff served me breakfast downstairs as I couldn’t manage the stairs and were exceptionally helpful.

There is no on site parking and a very short walk outdoors along the pub yard to the room, on a little slope and a few old steps. For myself, being disabled, this was a little tricky. This is clearly described so we were aware before booking.

Convenient location for the town. Very comfortable, large room. Excellent breakfast & restaurant for dinner. Friendly staff.

The breakfast room is too small - you have to squeeze out and in between tables which are too close together, and getting your coffee, cereal, toast, etc is a bit of a juggling act with other residents. Lack of parking onsite is an issue for those with limited mobility. Rooms have been very nicely modernised but being spoiled by mould in the shower area.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming when I checked in. My room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I had an excellent meal in the bar and the real ale, which drew me to this hotel in the first place, was exceptional. The breakfast was very good and offered a good range of choices. The service was 1st class throughout my stay.

I can't think of any way in which my stay could have been improved.

Great location in the centre of the lovely wee red toon of Kirriemuir. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. Our evening meal was excellent and the service very good. The co-owner was great in that she fixed our telly! Didn't have a cooked breakfast but there was plenty choice and again lovely member of staff on hand to give us guidance about what was available. Would definitely come back.

Nothing to complain about.

Very friendly staff -they even called us after our departure because we had forgotten a pair of pyjamas - the kids loved the cooked / buffet breakfast in the dedicated room and the kettle, teas/coffees and the biscuits in the bedroom. There is a restaurant which is quite convenient. The building and the equipment are aging a bit but it is part of the charm of the place. Well located in the village, easy to park nearby. Good location to go hiking around. Lovely hike in the Glen Cova valley.

Wifi is very limited in the room, need to be in the main room to have a proper connection. Family room is convenient and quite rare so good for the kids, then you have to have the same schedule as the beds are really next to each other.

Nice hotel with spacious rooms, very clean and recently renovated or decorated - everything looked quite new and fresh despite being in an old building. The staff were lovely and the bed was comfortable; big and clean bathroom; windows with views on a small cute garden. Very silent at night, too. There's a supermarket a few meters away and parking facilities around the city. The hotel has its own pub/restaurant, offering a good variation of dishes - great and convenient in a village with not so big an offer for dining out. All perfect, would totally recommend. I stayed here before going for a hike to Corrie Fee, which is half hour away by car.

Nothing, everything was great
