Few small issues - with food which after reporting (was room service) no one got back to us when I brought it up upon checking out the manager was happy to offer a resolution . I have eaten here before and the food was top so think this was a one off No water in the room - most places offer complimentary bottles these days

I think we had a room upgrade to a room with a view over the Tay and RRS Discovery. On arrival we booked a supper in the brasserie which was outstanding, both for the quality of the food and wonderfulness of the waiting staff who were super friendly and funny. We had a quiet night followed by a lovely breakfast, the hot dishes had to be ordered and were not from a buffet. though there were endless supplies of fresh fruit, cereals, croissants etc. Loved it. In fact we loved it so much that when we look at other cities to visit we are more likely to see whether there is a Malmaison historic hotel there.

I have an allergy to feathers and should have asked for feather/down-free bed clothes. Not really a problems, but I would have had a less snuffly night's rest.

Great hotel in a good location for all the things we planned to do whilst in Dundee. Kristina on reception was very welcoming and had lots of ideas for places to visit just outside Dundee. The room was spacious, very clean, fab shower and a very comfy bed. We didn’t eat here as our preference is to try the local restaurants of which there are plenty within walking distance of the hotel - we particularly enjoyed Milas Turkish restaurant. The V&A plus the research ship Discovery are just a few minutes walk away & well worth a visit. We also enjoyed a trip to St Andrews and Monifieth with its amazing sandy beach. All in all a very enjoyable stay!

Hotel was nice and clean staff were friendly and helpful. Only problem I really had was with the heating turning it’s self up and keeps getting to hot in the room says to reception about it and man put it in cool and it stayed that way. Last thing was I didn’t have any water bottles of water in the room usually when I stay there is normally 2 bottles on the bedside tables one at each side when I asked them if the room was ment to have water in it he says no so I asked him if he could send a bottle up as I was really thirsty because of the heat in the room and it never did get sent up apart from those to miner issues the stay was great.

The heating turning its self up my water not being sent up to the room. The face there was no water to drink in the room.

I stayed with my partner in a junior suite here that was comfortable clean and very big. We liked that the property was centrally located within walking distance of everything we could want. Also the mini bar is exceptionally reasonably priced for a hotel. So hats off for that we also had pleasant staff from the restaurant to reception staff.

So I did not like that there was no parking for the hotel. Nor any access to parking discounts to lessen the financial blow of staying overnight. In a city such as other hotel that are without parking offer. Also the hotel restaurant is very pricey for what it is.

The hotel and staff were great, hotel within 2 min walk from train station and located very close to V&A and other tourist attractions. Hotel was clean, comfortable and modern with comfy bed and everything you need for a short stay. Breakfast was excellent. Drinks Voucher for £7.50 per person (£15) offered if I opted not to have my room cleaned on the 2nd day of my 2 night stay.

Nothing really negative to report, £15 drinks voucher used to purchase 2 drinks at a cost of £16, which seemed a bit expensive for a gin and a lager. Similar drinks in local pub cost £8.70.

The room was clean and spacious, and the bar staff were lovely and can make an excellent cocktail. Dog freindly for an extra £25 you get a dog bed and bowls and can take your pet into the bar area. It's very central, so cracking location.

The hotel looks a bit tiered lift and lobby looks like it needs a good clean. Food is way overpriced. Lobster mac&cheese was a letdown at £26. I would stay again and definitely get the cocktails, but I would eat out as I think it's just way overpriced for the quality.

The breakfast offered a huge variety of foods,which would suit most people and was very good. We enjoyed our evening meal and found the staff to be very attentive and helpful. We liked the location of the hotel. It was very central and close to all the attractions including the V and A museum.

I was disappointed that the hotel didn't have a car park or a compensatory arrangement for parking ie. We paid for parking from our arrival time up to 11.20a.m. the following day, but the hotel could compensate the guest by offering a drink on arrival or something similar to take the sting out of that.

Our dog was made welcome. Staff were helpful.

Room was a bit stuffy and too warm.

We liked the warm welcome at reception. The staff were super courteous and obviously enjoying customer engagement! We loved our large, warm, comfortable room with views over the Tay and immaculate bedding and towels. Hotel is close to train station, airport and tourist haunts. A short drive over the Tay bridge allows exploration of Fife coastal villages. Very nice! We loved dinner and next morning breakfast served by smart, knowledgeable young men and women in the large comfortable dining/breakfast room also with great views. The hotel retains some of its historical features which is really nice too.

We understood that a near future refurb will update the somewhat dark interior colours used in otherwise very modern decor.
