Excellent location , spotless the lady cleaner was lovely as were all the staff and John the owner who looked after our booking so well. Private accommodation down the road . Very , very comfy beds , warm and modern interior done to a high spec. Great shower , love we had a fridge . Round the corner from the high street 10 mins walk to the beach , 15 mins to the Castle.

Just suggestions .. Privacy put on the windows or different blinds . Fan in the room . It was very noisy on the road when the Fort pub was emptying around 2 am , squabbling , swearing , fisticuffs , usual when a nightclub comes out , be aware . Only 4 channels on the TV , a package with maybe Netflix would have been nice .. BUT OVERALL VERY GOOD 👍

The place was easy to find, exceptionally clean,modern and comfortable. Check in was very quick.

I was only staying for one night, the breakfast stated on booking.com it was £11.95. I was up for a local family get together so didn't go into the bar area on the night. There is no menu for breakfast I could find in the room or on the website. I didn't know if it was a fixed price buffet type breakfast or a guideline price. There was no one in reception to ask and it wasn't mentioned at check in. I didn't want to embarrass myself by walking in to find it was a fixed price breakfast and then walk out, as I only wanted a light breakfast.. shame really as Greg's wasn't really what I wanted either

Hotel and staff superb

Bar opened til three in the morning with music but nothing ear plugs won’t solve

Although our room in the hotel was very nice and entirely acceptable we had a small issue with a faulty toilet flush in bathroom which they unfortunately could not get a plumber in to fix on a Saturday late afternoon. A very nice young man eager to remedy any issue very quickly offered to change our room and gave us a choice of another in the hotel or an upgrade at no extra cost in the rooms over the road which was larger and very quiet away from the main road. Altogether a nice hotel, clean, good facilities, would definitely recommend.

Location and easy access. Our rooms were across the road so we were not disturbed by the noise or any other issues. Comfortable . Lovely beer garden and nice breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful . Highly recommend the area as lots to see . Perfect for our night away to attend a wedding party . We got a taxi company number and they were brilliant too . Thanks 🤩

Parking , yet after talking to lovely staff they also struggle to get parked . Just a downside of the area as very popular .

We had a lovely overnight stay at The Fort, room was small but comfortable, clean and modern. Lovely beer garden outside. Bar and lounge downstairs was very busy. Bar area was very busy and Lots tables reserved for food. Just a minor issue but for residents it can be difficult to get a table or somewhere to sit for a drink. Great customer service and staff were very friendly.

My single duluxe room was well appointed with truly excellent en-suite, low level lighting, nice dark colour scheme and comfort, breakfast was freshly cooked - not reheated, security - location in the main premises is important. Pleasant, happy and very helpful staff.

Room could do with a couple of USB ports though I might not have seen them, it is a well attended venue with club like atmosphere on Saturday night so quite noisy if facing streets but not rowdy, just late night good times. Contacting staff (answer phone played out over call, reception unmanned/closed at certain times) continuity and internal communication could be improved. Maybe offer deal with breakfast when booking, not separate later payment.

Was warm and cozy, Bathroom fabulous, clean towels every day, room cleaned every day also!

Was a beautiful room but window couldn't open for fresh air, no access to open just a pain of glass, and back door exit always locked so if in a fire your trapped! It would have been nice to have fresh air in room!

The staff were great. Food really good and having the option of half or full portion was great. The only thing was the room was quite dark so had to have light on all the time.Its a great hotel and have been going for years.

We all stayed in the house next door with the 3 rooms so that great. Nice rooms but oh they were so so cold!! No switch for the heating to go on, and 1 tiny heater in the bathroom!! The breakfast was not worth the extra £10. The breakfast area was so spotless, after the disco the night before. We would definitely go back just not get breakfast, and take extra layers.
