The hotel is charming, the beds comfy and rooms lovely. But best part was the staff. Krystal was super welcoming and accommodating when my bookings.com reservation was canceled bc of an expired credit card. I was so grateful and then when we met in person she was delightful as is her husband (I think his name is Manuel) who is also the chef. Dinner was delicious and breakfast very good. This is a top notch place where you feel valued and Krystal and Manuel go out of their way to make sure all your needs are met. Very personable, warm and welcoming, I hope to return and/or send others their way!

An OMG moment to stay at the beautiful olden style B&B. The room was lovely and clean, cosy but not too small. Great bed and it was lovely to have a soak in the bath after a day of sightseeing. Krystal and Manuel were so accommodating and friendly. They even put our suitcases in our room for us. Nothing was a problem. A wonderful breakfast was also supplied every morning. A perfect place to stay close to St Andrew’s and Dundee . The bus stop was just outside the Inn. I highly recommend to stay there and can’t wait to one day go back.

The owners were very welcoming and available at all times nothing was a bother for them. The food in the restaurant was really good and had a good choice all freshly made, the chef made a point of talking to you to check you were happy with the meal. This is a small hotel which is being slowly modernised. Our room was not large but was clean and comfortable with some nice decor. Breakfast was buffet style, everything was very fresh with a hot option included in the price. Various option were available to purchase but not really necessary as there was plenty of fresh food constantly re stocked as people came down so not lying out too long. On check out you were made to feel that they appreciated your custom. As it’s an old building the stairs are fairly steep so you need to be aware if you have mobility issues.

Eight family members went to the area for a family wedding on Saturday, 4th May 24. Travelled sixty miles from home to the hotel. Arrived at 11.50am, wanting to drop off our luggage, as check was not until 3pm. Host & husband generously opened the hotel before the official opening time of noon. Nothing was too much trouble, took our luggage in a holding room, then invited us into the bar and served us refreshing drinks, as we had to be at the wedding location for 1pm. The inn was spotlessly clean, bright, and cheery. Our host supplied the whole party with our designated keys to gain access later in the day, but they were happy to book us in early to remove any hassle. Happy with the selection of our lodgings, our party left the hotel to go to the wedding location for 1.30pm. The inn was ideally located and went off without a hitch. Our party returned in stages between 10pm & midnight, as we had a designated driver. Again, our hosts met their returning clients with a smile and directed us to our rooms. All the rooms were well appointed with all necessary requirements. Very comfy beds, large tv, coffee & tea, milk, etc.. They even opened the bar for the last two in for a drink before bed. At breakfast, our requirements were met fully with exceptional cooked & non-cooked food. There was a plentiful supply of fruit juices, cereals, tea, coffee, and toast. By leaving time, the whole party was sad to leave. Everyone thanked our hosts for a wonderful stay, and we all said we would have no qualms to highly recommending this establishment to friends & family. It is an excellent location, very hospitable hosts, with a five-star rating without doubt for customer service, in all aspects. Even got a hug from our host, which made it perfect.

Absolutely nothing.

The husband and wife are running this B&B. They are all very kind and nice persons. The wife is very cheerful. Because I got two large suitcases, they helped to take it up stairs.And when I check out the husband heard I talk to the wife and I was asking for help, while he is having breakfast, he come upstairs to help me, and he just don’t want the wife to do any heavy lifting. He is a really good husband. The food is nice. The hotel room is clean. The Local is perfect. Thank you for taking care of me.

We had a fantastic stay. The rooms where comfortable, clean and had great facilities. The location is remote however perfect for the wedding we attended just 5 minutes away and the owners even called to booked a local taxi on our behalf. If you have a car, both Dundee and St Andrews are a short drive away, very easy to get to. Breakfast was fantastic - the owners were very attentive and helpful. Made us feel very welcome. Exceeded our expectations!

Loved the warm welcome and attentive hospitality. Incredible cuisine with varied selection and Mexican twist. Hosts went the extra mile to make my stay comfortable and help in any way they could. Honest, caring and hard working family who seem passionate about every aspect of their business.

Decor and bathroom suite slightly outdated and TV was not operational but it did not spoil the overall experience. It is apparent that refurbishment is ongoing after 1.5 years of ownership.

We spent the day In St Andrew’s and this was the perfect stop at the end of the day as only a 15min drive and better value for money! We arrived a bit late but Krystle met us with a smile and helped us with our bags. Was comfortable room and a lovely breakfast was included with cereal, toast, scrambled eggs, yogurt, juices tea and coffee was all we needed to start our drive to Inverness.

Nothing

The owners of the Inn are wonderful. They have only owned the Inn a short time and are making many improvements and updates to the wonderful old inn. The restaurant at the property was fantastic. The meals we had were incredible and full of flavour. So many menu choices it was hard to pick!

The bed and pillows were satisfactory. I know that many things will be upgraded in the future as the continuing improvements are completed. Again the owners are new and the list of things to do was long. The hospitality, friendliness and cleanliness more than made up for a slightly uncomfortable mattress and pillow.

We stayed one night for a wedding in the area. Great location for us. The double room was perfect for the purpose with comfy double bed, en-suite with shower and coffee/tea in the room. Breakfast available next morning for an extra fee. What makes it shine is the kindness of its owner, very welcoming and she even drove us to the wedding venue the next morning to collect our car. Above and beyond and what makes places like this special.

Lights at side of bed didn’t work. Decor a bit dated in some areas but didn’t bother us and part of the charm.
