Great location, so close to the centre of town. The hotel exceeded my expectations as we bagged the honeymoon suite unbeknown to us!! The turret room was a real gut with us as a family, a real rapunzel moment!! We traveled for a gig at Slessor gardens (which was fantastic) but we would’ve been happy staying in the room 😆 The staff were lovely and the full vibe of the hotel was so relaxed and welcoming.

I LOVED it all. If there was one thing to say, it’s so insignificant and personal to me but the only thing I DIDNT like was at breakfast my scrambled egg was on top of my potato scone 🤣

We were in Bridge View Room on 2nd floor Stair carpet on way up really needed a good vacum as mentioned in another comment and still not done! Carpet in our room badly stained need deep clean or replaced Toilet brush well!!! It was really bad General cleaning needs more attention to detail wooden furniture needs a good dust and some polish Entrance as you come into hotel needs attention

Beautiful old building which has been lovingly restored and decorated. Loved the decor of the place and the beautiful mirror in the room. Was perfect for getting ready for our daughter’s graduation. The breakfast was great and in beautiful surroundings. The view was stunning from our room. It feels very remote and in the country but is actually a short drive from the city centre. The outside facilities are great for a celebration.

Only gripes were when I booked it said £15 lunch was available in the deal. No-one knew anything about this when we arrived! Also the ‘single’ bed was a camp/ rollaway bed which wasn’t exactly as described. But we did love our stay and will be back!

The setting of this house was beautiful. The staff were very nice. But there were little things that spoilt the experience. I paid a little more than I normally do for accommodation as for once, my husband and I were actually away for our wedding anniversary (36 years), so wanted to make it a little bit special. Through no fault of the hotel, our room was not as planned as the door lock had to be broken earlier in the day to let a guest out., We still had access to the room to use so we were still able to enjoy the room. We were given the room next door as our bedroom, which wasn't quite as nice and had a tiny TV so we used the one in what should've been our room. We also had to ask for towels and milk etc., for the second room as it looked as though it hadn't been finished in preparation for guests. The staff did very well under the circumstances, it just spoilt things a little.

Great location with parking. Spacious bedroom. Attractive setting. Buses running past the property. Nice breakfast served restaurant style.

It was a bit run down. We did not have blackout curtains/blinds as stated. Easy chair was torn, lots of stains on the carpet, black mould on the silicone in the shower. Weren’t told we would have to book dinner. We took a 7.30 slot and got our meal at 8.30! Saturday night is party night and there were revellers (not staying at the hotel) who were very noisy.

Hotel is in a beautiful location, lovely downstairs in the public areas. The bedroom needs updated all Looking old fashioned and a bit tired. The staff I have to say from check in and the restaurant staff were all lovely. The food I picked the Sunday roast, very disappointed it was all warm ups. But if your offering food up To 8.30pm Including Sunday roast, it should Still be up to a standard!!!

Beautiful house, spacious rooms, grounds lovely and breakfast was delicious 😋

We moved the bed to the middle of the room to be able to watch the TV and it was a smaller than we are used too. The dust behind the bed was shocking, there was a good inch of dust and carpet staining as you come into room 101. There was substantial amount of dust behind the bath which was noticeable as the bath was free standing. Dusty light fittings also.

The building is unique, comfortable, and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As a solo traveller I felt very at ease.

I thought the food was a bit inconsistent. The fish and chips were too oily. The chicken, bangers and mash and porridge were great. The eggs for breakfast were poorly cooked. If I stay again I'd definitely specify no runny eggs. I just thought it was a shame that the food was unreliable.

I loved the location, it was super peaceful, like at night I’ve not heard absolute silence in so long!!! It was bliss! The gardens around the property were beautiful and child friendly.

I was travelling with my toddler son and only stayed a night which was absolutely exceptional! We will definitely be back! but the only thing I would mention was there wasn’t a hook to tie up the roller blind chain.

The staff were so helpful and kind. Went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed and even offered extra that was definitely not expected but very much appreciated.

Location wise the grounds are so beautiful. Fantastic view of the gardens and right over the tay. It does however look over Dundee Airport. This did not bother me at all but when the planes come in and go out it could be rather loud. I was there from 4pm to 11am the following day and there were 2 planes in that space of time.
