Friendly staff. Real top notch pub grub. Good beer and whiskey. Comfy bed and pleasant sounds of local folk wandering home after a good night out. Highly recommended!

Traditional town centre hotel. Very well run. Friendly welcoming helpful staff. Great bar. Nice wee snug for residents.Great food,pub grub style but very tasty and big helpings. In a good location. Big car park for residents. Great area,for exploring the Angus glens also for birdwatching. The town is famous for JM Barrie, author of Peter Pan.The hotel has a subtle JM Barrie theme.

The staff were extremely obliging and welcoming to us, having travelled 10+hrs to get there. The chef was even kind enough to keep the kitchen open long enough to fix us a hot meal (which was delicious). Also loved how welcoming they were to our puppy.

Although when booking, I registered 3 adults to be staying, tea/coffee provision was only for 2. There was only one glass in the bathroom for rinsing your mouth and the towels were extremely small and rough to touch. The breakfast was served in a friendly manner, however the quality of the produce could have been better. The sausage tasted very cheap and the black pudding was hard and dry.

Good traditional pub/hotel. Friendly staff. Good sized , comfortable room with welcome heater and heated towel rail. Enjoyed the evening meals.

The slow automatic light system seemed potentially dangerous considering several steps up & down. There was a light on the building opposite our room which shone past the edge of the window blind onto the pillow, so disturbing.

I was welcomed, the staff were very friendly and helpful. My room smelled lovely and was really clean and smart. It was a beautiful location in a nice town. It was also handy with venues and the bus stop. I would definitely recommend it and hope to return.

Thrums was near to where I needed to go. It was very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast & evening meal were very good. Rooms were decorated in a pleasant modern decor. The hotel was very clean and well looked after.

Being on a main road through the village, there was a bit of traffic noise at times.

Friendly, comfortable hotel. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Central to Kirriemuir. Would definitely stay there again.

Would have liked note about wi-fi password in the room, though was told password when I asked. This is a very minor point - but one which I am sure most people would want to know.

I got whatever I asked for , for breakfast, freshly cooked, hot and tasty. The staff, friendly and accommodating nothing was too much, the owner Dave, an exceptionally nice lad

I can't find anything, because for the price, very homely and relaxing atmosphere

breakfast was good, catering well for vegetarian and gluten/ dairy free requirements. The location was very convenient for our needs.

A plug in the bath would be good so a shower wasn't the only option. A light next to all the beds would also have been more convenient.

They couldn't do enough for us.. staff so friendly.. the bar was extremely busy yet they made sure that as residents we got all we needed.. the meal at night was superb and the breakfast was beautiful.. ladies serving breakfast made us feel so welcome.. 100% recommend and we be back for sure
