Four foot wide single beds! Excellent! Good walk in shower with the controls a good distance from the shower head. Easy to adjust. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. Mat available on request. Hanging space in wardrobe along with hair drier, iron and board. Plenty of charging points. Free Wifi with no password required. Big mirrors. Free breakfast with plenty of choice, hot or cold.
Opaque bathroom door so if going in the night the light from the bathroom floods the room and wakes up companion. Only 2 miniscule hooks in the bathroom. Top drawer which is in fact a pull down cover for the safe, refused to open. Room 315. Front of sink is a good 8 inches from the actual sink which is a long reach for a short person. Poor quality evening meal. Breakfast was OK but the orange juice was over diluted.

Good location, a short walk into the city centre. Managed to get parking on site every day, which was a bonus. We stayed in room 122 on the first night...really uncomfortable and noisy bed (even just sitting on it was creaking). We raised this with the manager, Simon, in the morning and he was great...managing to change our room for the remaining 3 nights...great room, lots of space and bigger bathroom - excellent work Simon, very much appreciated! He was super helpful in local attraction and getting about too.
Staff in the morning seemed a bit stressed during some bust periods -not great to hear one staff member saying she had 'lost her will to live'! Breakfast was complimentary and was ok. The apple juice/orange juice was watery and flavourless on one of the mornings.

Centrally located and a good base for getting everywhere. Lidl is just opposite and there are food options within walking distance. Room and facilities are good size and clean; room was exactly as seen online. The staff were nice and professional. I was allowed an early check in as soon as the room was available-no fuss. Wifi connection was great and easy to use which was a plus for me as I needed to work. Breakfast was decent with good options.
A bit pricey in my opinion but I guess it is what it is. If I had to be nit-picky, the only drawback for me was the cleanliness of tableware and cutleries. I found myself having to go through several cups or cutlery to find one that was visibly clean. I am also quite sensitive to smell and some of the cup and spoons didn’t have a clean smell -like they had been cleaned with damp cloth or something. That’d be my only criticism but besides that, overall great place and service.

We really enjoyed staying at the Hampton. Check in was quick and friendly. Our room was spotlessly clean with everything we could need. The bed was comfy with good quality bedding. There is a great choice of hot and cold food at breakfast and Jannat in restaurant is a credit to this hotel, she is polite., helpful and very hardworking looking after everyone's needs at breakfast. Dawn in house keeping is also a credit to the Hampton she kept our room spotless also getting me extra pillows. She is friendly and very efficient. A big thank you to all staff at the Hampton for making our break memorable. Roberta & Duncan Leitch

The room was very comfortable and it was great to have the use of two queen beds as we were two sisters sharing and enjoyed not having to share a bed. We had food downstairs shortly after arrival and it was delicious. Any food I saw being brought out looked just as good. There was a Lidl directly across the road which was so convenient for supplies for the room, although the lobby did offer the purchase of bottles of water and snack food such as crisps and chocolate bars.
The lobby wasn't particularly plush. It had more of functional feel with no airs and graces. Saying that, given the reasonable price of the property, this was not an issue.

The staff were so helpful, friendly and efficient from the minute we checked in until our departure. I went to the room which was ready earlier than check in time and I discovered that the bed had feathers pillows and I am allergic. I telephoned to reception from the room and within a few minutes the housekeeper arrived at our room and spoke with me. She returned immediately with 2 suitable replacement pillows. Breakfast is excellent and again staff cleared up tables efficiently. Bar staff friendly and food in the bar was good. Excellent value for money and nice hotel to relax in the evening . Excellent location for walking into town centre and tourist attractions.
No complaints at all

Location was very central and the staff were friendly and helpful. Room was well equipped and clean. The shower had visible mould on the silicone around the shower tray and the base of the shower screen. The drain cover was also missing leaving a big hole in the bottom of the shower. There was a bad smell some of the time from the drain. The mattress was very hard and the spring creaked so not a great nights sleep. Breakfast was self service, limited choices but more than adequate for my needs. The bacon was over cooked however and quite hard to chew. Very small underground car park costing £10 for 24 hours but that is quite standard these days. Not too bad for the cost but did the job.
The hard mattress and mouldy shower

Staff extremely courteous and friendly. Good breakfast choice. Spacious and welcoming bar/lounge/restaurant areas. Good size family room. Shower powerful. Very clean. Good location for shopping/dining/sightseeing - walkable for Overgate and local restaurants. (Would also recommend Rishi’s Indian restaurant nearby). Onsite parking great value at £10 per night. Very reasonable overall, under £100 for entire stay, 2 adults/2 children in family room including breakfast.
Beds not the most comfortable but acceptable. Pillows too soft however I believe firmer pillows can be requested.

the front desk staff was amazing very friendly and welcoming. I had a issues and they sorted it out right then and there.
the breakfast buffet was cold, the light that was used did nothing to keep the food hot, there was no sign to say what was what. even though I could see them off the the side. the staff who was in charge of the area, looked miserable didn't great anybody and didn't return a greaten given to her but a guest. really was night and day between the front desk staff and the breakfast staff on Saturday. Sunday was a different story different staff member was in charge of the breakfast area and was talking and say hello. I felt welcome. the semi skimmed milk did curdle in my tea.

The hotel is in a great location for local bars and places to eat. It's a bit studenty as the university is close by. If that's not your thing, head into the city centre, which is a 5mim walk away. We travelled by train and the hotel is only a 10 min walk from the train station,. The staff were brilliant and friendly. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The bed was super comfy and there was a great choice for breakfast.
It's always a personal preference, but I thought the pillows were too soft. Had to use three to get a decent sleep. The air con was on when we went for breakfast, definetly not needed in Dundee, in Febuaray. It made the whole eating area very cold.
