Very traditional and exceptionally clean! The staff were very helpful and friendly and made our stay very enjoyable.

It was fairly close to where we wanted to visit: Balmoral Castle .

We stayed 3 nights in a 2-bedroom self catering cabin located on the grounds of the hotel. The location is amazing, very close to the Loch Kinord walk and 3 miles from the nearest town. The cabin was lovely, very comfortable, super clean and had absolutely everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant on our first night which was great. There was good choice available and they had a children's menu available. I'd highly recommend the cabins for families, there is a lot to do in the area (e.g Burn O'Vat, Balmoral Castle, the snow road drive).

The team was very welcoming and informative. We was offered an upgrade and took it. We choose not to use all the facilities in the room due to only staying for 1 night. When contracted for room upgrade, I requested a bottle to be put in the room and this was there when we arrived.

The price of the breakfast. It was nothing special but I understand that with them also running a chalet business and only having a small restaurant space it suits them. (Restaurant not being overly busy with chalet users). When we go away, we always price the the whole price of the stay. Therefore still value for money.

Gorgeous hôtel in good location.Food in hôtel restaurant was excellent.

Wonderfully comfortable bed. Delicious supper expertly presented. Cheerful staff, one of whom even shared a good joke with us.

A small shelf in the shower - but this is a very minor grouse.

We would have dined there tbh at evening if that were an option. The staff were super friendly and helpful when we enquired about it and offered to book somewhere for us. We completely understand the circumstance when it’s not busy. It’s certainly not a complaint, however.

Cracking little two night break around doing the interior Balmoral Castle tour. Food excellent. Everyone got on on really well, Inc staff. Had good little bit of banter with the Germans and the Americans over a beer and a whisky! Don't mention the B word!

Maybe just lack of staff at times.
