Upon arrival the property was clean, tidy and full of customers, including locals which is always a good sign. The staff were very polite and quick to give us the key to the room and explain about the late door. We were asked if we wanted breakfast and then asked if we wanted to book a table for rhe same evening until we got out bearings. We had a.kingsize room with sea views which was warm and clean, comfy bed and soft clean towels. Slightly dated in regards to interior decor and wasn't perfect in condition of items, but they all worked, were clean. Food was amazing, well priced and with a nice selection of drinks. Would not have a problem staying there again in future visits.

Slightly dated and tired decor with wear and tear on items.

The food at the Clarkes hotel was really good , reasonably priced for the quality and quantity . The beds in the room was really comfy .The staff was really nice . We opted for this hotel as it accepted our dog . The location is pretty remote but we went for that reason . Lots of other stuff around but requires a drive.

My only downside was the rooms wernt that brilliant but given you only sleep in them and they allowed the dogs at an additional nightly charge we wasn’t to bothered . It’s not really a dislike just the only thing that we could say could be better . We payed £330 for 3 nights for 2 adults , 1 child and the dog

The location was superb for us. We did not know the area and we were blown away by the lovely views and the peaceful seaside area. The staff were superb and, Tony, the owner, was an absolute bonus. He made our visit really special and we liked him and his hotel enormously. Thank you, Tony. My sister is disabled and the facilities in the hotel were very helpful as were the friendly staff. We had a lovely couple of days and we heartily reccomend it to any other prospective visitors.

Nothing was a problem. Our visit was great.

The check was smooth, and the receptionist was very pleasant. Staff on the whole were really accommodating and helpful. The food at the hotel was fantastic and our waiter service was great. Location is brilliant. Being dog friendly was great. Dog treat available and a £10 charge for them to stay. The cost of the room was about right for the facilities. It's a little tired but was clean.

We stayed in room 11. The bed was not comfortable and I didn't have a great sleep. However it had a bath which was a nice suprise. We booked breakfast for 8.30am, however nobody came to attend to us so after 10 minutes we left hungry . Although we were disappointed as we got especially for it, it did t spoil our stay. These things happen. Won't put us off going again for a night as location, atmosphere, food and dog friendly is a big win for this hotel.

Arrive early for lunch, room ready on arrival, lunch was lovely. Room 6 was large and clean, bed very comfortable, quiet and dark. Decent bathroom. Tea and coffee tray available. Plenty of parking. Very enjoyable NYE party.

No lamps or side lights in the room only main light. Only 1 packet of biscuits available. Didn't realise breakfast wasn't included and cost additional £12 per person so we didn't bother.

We only stayed for a couple of nights but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though there were quite a few people drinking downstairs in the bar when we were in our room we could not here any noise at all. For the price the room was what we expected it to be

The smell of paint from the other bedroom that was been decorated but this cannot be helped. Unfortunately our bed was not very comfortable.

Enjoyed our stay, the rooms do need upgrading also the bar and communal areas, but having said that for the price you are paying you don’t expect 5*. The staff were all lovely ( 5* for the staff.) and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed breakfast and had one evening meal there, that was very good, I ordered the Cajun pasta, unfortunately too hot for me, but they were very concerned that this was the case and did there best to rectify it. The Lemon posset was a dream. We would stay again when in the area. The view over Morecombe Bay was amazing.

We were lucky it was very warm when we stayed and did sit outside with our drinks, that said all the seating was at benches not the most comfortable and the plant pots and weeds did need some attention, anything to make it look less like benches in a car park. Having said that we would stay again.

We booked last minute and weren't disappointed. The hotel is lovely, the room we stayed in on the top floor was modern, comfortable and quiet with a lovely view of the beach. The staff were so friendly and even gave us some refreshments for our journey home. The location is stunning! The area is very quiet. Will definitely return.

We have stayed here before, twice over the last 10 years, so it was all very familiar - we love the approach along the coast raod from Ulverston. Very peaceful location with views over the bay and to Piel Island. Staff very healpful and friendly and if anything was not quite right then it was soon sorted out. Breakfast tasty and filling - those sausages are super!

The hotel was fairly quiet for the duration of our stay. It used to be much busier with contractors from BAE staying here for a few days a week, bringing a lively atmosphere and more people to keep the bar open later at night. I do hope that the BAE business returns in the future.
