We were given a complementary upgrade for our special occasion, which was both unexpected and a nice gesture. The garden room was great, off the main hotel meaning more peace and quiet, but still right by the reception for anything we needed. Staff were friendly and polite, helpful with any queries. Fantastic location right by the town centre, meaning we didn't need to travel far for restaurants, shopping, and activities.

The bathroom wasn't the cleanest, the toilet had a stain down the front which looked like it was just missed by the cleaner. The gym was advertised as 'luxury', but it was absolutely tiny with not much in it.

From the moment we were greeted on arrival by Juan B. at the front desk to our departure we were treated as valued guests. Farm to table top quality ingredients are served for delicious breakfasts, which we booked as part of our room rate, and dinners. The entire staff was helpful, caring and genuine. The location is fabulous and within walking distance to many restaurants, sites, tour meeting points.and the Bath Spa train station.

There is no direct entrance to lobby or restaurant from many rooms within hotel. You have to go outside onto street or through back garden area to re-enter buliding. Garden area re-construction is currently in progress.

We didn't have breakfast during our 5 night stay, since we felt £24 each was far too expensive and there are so many excellent places nearby to enjoy this meal. Please note, even breakfast at Harvey Nichols cost less than Hotel Indigo!

My husband suffered badly from gastroenteritis following dinner on Saturday night, 3rd May 2025. We had the same meal - French onion soup followed by venison - but I didn't have the faggots. He spent the following day in bed, only leaving the room while housekeeping tidied the room (517). When asked by receptionist at checkout we mentioned this, so that the kitchen could be informed.

Nice, comfortable hotel, very well located. Bed and shower are nice. Breakfast was nice; coffee not so much. Nice staff.

It's an old building, and we could hear our (jet-lagged) loud American neighbours across the hall one of the nights. They eventually went to sleep and I wore earplugs, but you can hear the hall noise and neighbours if they're being loud. The decor seems somehow outdated to me. If the ever renovate, I would try going with something more timeless rather than trying to seem artsy and creative with a style that has become overly used. Could do with lowering the volumen of the music in the lobby.

Location is excellent, we walked there from the train station and we were only walking throughout our stay. We just ubered up the hill to Prior Park and afterwards we walked down. Staff amazing. The whole decor was like an art exhibition. Bed and pillows very comfortable. We had breakfast with the booking and we were pleasantly surprised because there was the buffet and then there were more dishes that you could order included in the price of our booking. We had avocado on toast with poached eggs and eggs florentine. At check-in, they asked us to reserve time for breakfast and I’m glad they did because the tables were full but with no waiting time. Loved also the Elder that is located at the same building and offers 7-course dinner experience.

The walk-in shower needs a thorough scrub, especially in the plastic around the glass.

As soon as we walked in the door, Heidi on reception greeted us with a huge smile and warm welcome. The hotel is in a brilliant location, easy of parking (and station if needed) and everything is walking distance, but its also quiet at the same time. I requested balloons as it was my partners birthday (I paid an addition fee) and the hotel did a fantastic job and provided a lovely Happy Birthday card too. The decor is very tasteful and quirky, with everything in the room laid out perfectly. Brilliant facilities within the room and great shower, even with a speaker in the bathroom. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bath :)

I honestly can't think of anything.

This hotel was modern and lovely. We originally booked one of the literary rooms and it was well decorated and had wonderful details. However, it was on the top floor of the hotel and was incredibly hot. We could not get the air conditioner to cool it down. After some diliberation with the front desk, we were given a fan that did not help and then eventually were moved to another room on a lower level that was much cooler. Also, though the bathroom was gorgeous in the first room, the floor was slightly dirty. It was slightly shocking considering how nice the decor was.

The hotel needs to figure out how to manage the temperature better in the higher rooms and ensure things are cleaned more thoroughly. Otherwise, it was a lovely hotel.

The hotel is quite large and beautifully decorated . The breakfast was delicious - lots of options. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location for exploring. Also, took advantage of the laundry service, convenient but a little pricey. Air conditioning was a bonus and also a lift !

The bathroom was quite small, not a lot of space for hanging towels/ toiletries or personal items. Also, in our bathroom -room 409 - the toilet was right against a wall, which forced you to sit sideways/on an angle. Our view was of scaffolding and there was noise from construction when we were there -sounded like the workmen were right outside our window

Staff were incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much. Location was superb.

Valet parking was only for 10 cars and prebookable which we did not know. But there was an excellent, safe car park very close to the hotel which we were directed to by Reception, which was excellent. Breakfast was the only part of the stay that was a bit hit and miss. The food was excellent but we had to wait a very long time for hot drinks. Our drinks orders were very late twice. Perhaps a hot drinks machine or two in the buffet area would take the onus off the staff to supply hot beverages.

A fantastic hotel for our short break, very close to the train station and an ideal location for what we wanted, walkable to the centre but not in the midst of the nightlife. The room was comfortable with everything we could want from robes to coffee machine. The outstanding feature of this hotel has to be the staff who were just incredibly professional but friendly and welcoming. The communal areas were plenty and comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again.

Small niggle, when the room was refreshed the biscuits werent replaced, having to eat before taking medication in the morning it was a slight frustration, however quickly resolved with a short walk to reception who delivered some to our room within minutes.
