The Windsor Town House is a typically classy Bath sandstone terraced town house with big windows and high ceilings with decorative cornicing. It was good to find a fridge and microwave for our use in the cupboard. The staff were uniformly courteous and helpful, and the included continental breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

Although our room was characterful, the decor was tired, and the carpet even more tired - on my side of the bed, there was a large hole and several blemishes. The shabby-chic cabinet opposite the bed had several handles missing from the drawers - shabby-chic is all very well, but not to the extent of missing components. The biggest gripe I have with this accommodation is the "discretionary service charge" they sneak into your bill on check-out. There should be no unpleasant surprises on check-out, and if the hotel wishes to levy a service charge, they should build it into the upfront price.

Breakfast was excellent. I truly love a room that I had my breakfast. And also a house magazine which is I found in a bedroom that has got useful information around Bath. All rooms have a name not number it's new experience for me. Duvet cover sheets and pillow cases are spotless too nice clean and they were bright white.

Housekeeping need more dust, polish furniture and well hover the carpet. Also I think placing tea coffee amenities, a kettle in a cupboard next to my heavy coat wasn't best option. Just place on a table, enough room there.

Breakfast was a real experience – served in a refined, light-filled dining room with a classic ambiance. The food was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully presented – from warm pastries to perfectly cooked eggs. A truly elegant way to start the day. There’s something special about visiting a city like Bath – with its deep history, Roman baths, and Georgian architecture – and staying in a house that feels like part of that heritage. The Windsor Townhouse is more than just accommodation – it’s an experience. Walking through its doors feels like stepping into another, slower, more graceful world. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to feel the essence of authentic, classical England – without excess, but with great style and character.

The only thing I was not happy with was the room located in the lower part of the hotel, where my children were staying. Unfortunately, it had a strong damp smell, which made the space feel musty and uncomfortable. While the bathroom was nicely renovated and well-equipped, I didn’t feel good knowing they were sleeping in a basement-like area that felt damp and not properly ventilated. Some of the chairs in the room had visible stains, which I believe most guests would find unpleasant to look at. It would be a good idea either to place cushions over them or to have them cleaned more regularly, as this would really help maintain the otherwise elegant atmosphere.

Beautiful grade 1 listed town house with many original features. Located in one or Bath's most prestigious streets, minutes from most attractions and walking distance to all the main sights. Our room in the guesthouse overlooked similarly beautiful grade 1 listed houses across the street. The rear was overlooking a sports field. Friendly, front of house, staff greeted us. We loved the perfectly formed small bath and powerful shower. The bed was very comfortable with quality duvet and pillows so we had such a great night sleep we were late for breakfast. We were grateful for aircon in the room as it otherwise would have been very hot and stuffy (as our stay was during a heat wave).

The decor was a little tired in places, but that didn't detract from the beauty of the guesthouse. The extractor fan was not working in the bathroom, and as a result mould was spreading around the bath and tiles which could easily be resolved with ventilation and mould cleaner. The automatic addition of 10% tip to our bill was an unwelcome surprise at the end of an otherwise memorable trip.

Location was absolutely great - a short easy and level walk from city centre, on a broad well maintained quiet street. The single room was compact and neat. Lovely to see a traditional sash window which opened easily, top and bottom - simple to adjust for comfort. The bathroom was well equipped and the shower was really good, it kept up excellent temperature and pressure, in spite of it serving a third floor room. Bed was very comfy and there was a fridge, which was a boon in the hot weather. Breakfast was very tasty. lovely quality food, and there was a good choice offered.

The stairs to third floor landing had quite narrow treads - however nothing much can be done about that, as it's a listed building with original features. The door to the internal cupboard wouldn't close due to the items of equipment stored within; could the large ironing board and portable radiator be replaced with smaller ones to gain space for the door to close? When open, the cupboard door snagged on the bathroom door. But really these are only minor niggles; the room and facilities were very nice and perfect for a single traveller on a short stay.

Our room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and full of character, blending classic Georgian charm with modern comfort. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved the little touches—luxury toiletries, a well-stocked tea and coffee tray, and thoughtful local recommendations. Breakfast was a highlight each morning, with a delicious range of freshly prepared options and attentive service that made it feel truly special. The staff were exceptional—friendly, helpful, and genuinely passionate about making our stay memorable. Their local tips made a real difference to our trip. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend the Windsor Townhouse to anyone visiting Bath. An absolute gem!

The Windsor Town House is a lovely guest house located in a Georgian building in the historic centre of Bath. The rooms as well as the breakfast room are very tastefully decorated, in accordance with the style of the period building. The location is fantastic, breakfast is very good, staff are extremely friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

Some dust in the bedroom (on upholstery and lampshades, those spots that tend to get forgotten!), otherwise very clean. The bathroom would benefit from a revamp. Lovely toiletteries, though!

Didn,t like the 67 steps up to the 3rd floor with the last ascent at about 60 degrees. When looking for a hotel in Bath via Booking.com i put filters on for breakfast included and parking. This place was chosen by me for above 2 things. This place has NO parking. You have to park in a nearby multi storey carpark which will cost you 18 pounds per day. Note for the house owner. Check the laundering of the towels, they whiff a bit.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast choices were varied with a selection of cereals, and hot food including the good old English breakfast as one option and there was no problem with getting extra toast or coffee/tea. The Guest house was ideally situated within walking distance to the centre of town and the many pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes.

The only drawback is the stairs as due to the age of the building there is no lift, but on the other side of the coin it added to the character of the place. We were pre warned about this in the details when booking so not really a problem.

Beautiful place, great location so very easy to find and explore around. Cute single room with everything you need. Stunning bathroom, comfortable bed I slept well. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and all the staff were super lovely and helpful. I will definitely be returning.

Could do with a paint job on the walls. The mini fridge might need moving out of the cupboard, it got very hot in there which concerned me a little. Air conditioning was broken however a fan was provide though.
