The location was perfect, centrally located to walk around the heart of Bath. It's a clean, modern property with up-to-date amenities and choices. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer a complimentary wine/cheese bar to guests on certain days of the week. They serve very nice breakfasts, for an additional charge.

The room was very small. I stayed there solo. Although it was advertised as suitable for 2 people. Not sure how two people would move around it. Would have liked a chair, rather than a stool to sit on in the room, as my back could use more support. These are minor details -- all in all the property was great.

Location perfect...could not have asked for better. Staff were brilliant from start to finish. Very friendly. Took time to talk to us and gave lots of advice. Generally seemed interested in us and our experience. We paid extra for breakfast but it was very good value for money.

Although we could see from the pictures that the room was small, we were not prepared for how small. It didn't detract from our stay as we were up and out early and back late. It would be perfect for 1 person and a short stay. There are only hooks on the wall, no wardrobe, so if you have lots of clothes that need neatly hung up you're in trouble. So, in summary, very very small room....just be prepared but don't let it put you off for a short stay.

Location, relaxed atmosphere, staff readily available if required but maintained a low key presence, environment modern, functional and comfortable. Evening bar and breakfast offer if required. Well air conditioned, soft music and relaxed atmosphere in bar/ reception area. Rooms basic, clean, all one requires for a no fuss city stay over, safe, secure and very quiet. Slept well, comfortable bed, blackout blind, and clean bathroom.

Rooms on several stays have had a slight unpleasant odour, much like drains needing cleaning. Not enough to warrant complaint, but should be addressed, possibly a natural room fragrance of some kind would be advantageous.

Room has a comfortable bed and pillows. Its has a desk, plugs near the bed, a seat, hangers. Its well equipped. It was very clean as well. The Location of the hotel is perfect and the staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. You can get cold delicious water all day! The Breakfast was also very good and perfect since we had an early tour.

I got a room without window, but that is just cause of availability when I booked, but I know now I prefer a window room as it brings some lovely day light and concept of time. But this room is a bit cheaper which is also good.

We really enjoyed our stay, and it far exceeded our expectations. The staff were really helpful and there was a good atmosphere in the bar/lobby. The complementary cheese and wine on Saturday evening was a bonus. The TV has all of the pay to view Sports Channels, which we have never encountered before. We could also leave our luggage at the hotel on Sunday whilst we looked around Bath. Best of all was the location, just across from the Royal Theatre.

No negatives. We were not sure if we qualified for the free cheese and wine, but it is available to all guests on Saturdays.

I enjoyed the service provided by all members of staff, never have I had such a good experience from all members of staff (who I interacted with) when staying in a hotel. Thank you so much for making my time in Bath so lovely. I'll definitely be staying here again in the future. I also enjoyed the food and drinks served, started my time with a lovely hot chocolate, went on to enjoy some spectacular cranberry juice, and finished with a wonderful ham & cheese toastie to end my trip, overall I really enjoyed what was on offer. Thank you Z hotel Bath (and most importantly staff), for the wonderful experience, I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I would have liked to have my rooms air conditioner be a little colder than what was programmed as the limit.

It is clear from the photos / information available when making the booking that rooms are compact. Whilst this is true they are clean, and well equipped for a short stay. The location was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. The no-strings-attached cheese and wine evening (two nights / week for non-members) was a very nice touch! When we asked for tea & coffee etc. sachet replenishment, these were readily provided. We would definitely consider The Z Hotel on future visits to Bath or other locations!

Although the room had a window, it wasn't possible to open this so there is reliance on AC.

Location was excellent! Breakfast choices were plentiful and all were delicious. Cheese and wine played in the evening was very welcomed after a day of sightseeing. Coffee and tea were good quality as was the food. Generous amounts. Staff greeted you with a smile, felt like we knew each other, they were so friendly and caring. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay there!

We felt the glass doors to the bathroom were too revealing, very little privacy, especially the toilet section! Frosted glass did not give any privacy. We had a chair in our room which we were told was unusual. I feel a chair or two is needed for relaxation. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed staying at the hotel.

There was a green light coming from a sensor on the ceiling and a low humming from something, both within my room. Which made it hard to fall asleep. Hotel sounds and lights are expected outside the room. Maybe it's a personal thing, but I like my room to be completely dark or have natural light coming from widows when trying to sleep. Bright LED green wasn't my choice. And quiet as possible. Once I get off to sleep, I'm fine. I didn't mention this to the staff as it wasn't a major issue.

Great central location. Extremely clean. Compact but fine for a short stay. Really good shower and really pleased that room had air con as weather very humid. Despite Bath being extremely busy with students graduating and celebrating, the room was so quiet and we never heard any outside noise at all. We didn't eat or drink at the hotel as the location was so great, we were spoiled for choice of cafes and bars.

Nothing obvious but after some thought the one thing that was lacking was public toilets - there was only one beyond the reception area, which was used for everyone using the hotel's facilities. All rooms have their own facilities but if waiting downstairs, eating or drinking there, there was only one public one that we could see.
