Beautiful setting with hills and countryside and baby lambs. The accommodation was just over the road from the pub which was the old piggery. Our room was stunning with views to die for and a free standing bath 🤩 Room was comfortable and quiet. The pub has a gorgeous interior mixing modern and traditional brilliantly. There is a wonderful outdoor area: We ate at the pub and the food is exceptional with wonderful staff. The value was amazing with great wines to accompany our dinner. All the food was freshly prepared and it was just spectacular with a menu that changes with what’s available. The venison was truly delicious and fresh from the local area. Breakfast was again fantastic with a wonderful choice. Can’t compliment this place enough we will return.

I couldn't fault our trip - it was simply wonderful from start to finish. We had booked a king room which was amazing, so spacious, clean and modern. Topped off by a beautiful mountain view. The surrounding area had lovely walks with scenery for miles! The Blind Bull staff were all so friendly and welcoming, taking a genuine interest in your stay. There were so many small touches which made the stay feel extra special! The food was exceptional - everything tasted so good so I would definitely recommend booking an evening dinner in the restaurant.
There is nothing we didn't like! The only very small thing I could share would be that the breakfast time (8.30-9.30) was early - but it forced us up and out into the fresh air! Plus, the breakfast made this a lot more bearable and tempting!!

The Blind Bull is in a great location, close to many other attractions, or perfect just to sit and chill, and enjoy the surroundings. The room we stayed in was exceptional, and very well thought out in terms of the best use of the space available. The staff were very welcoming, and exceptionally welcoming with dogs.
There was very little that we found to be considered 'negatives' as it is such a lovely place. Just a couple of little things really. A mini fridge in the room would have come in very useful for the fresh milk. A power socket by the long mirror would have been useful. A luggage rack would be a good idea. it would stop people putting their cases on the bed or coffee tables.

Location is very remote surrounded by sheep in fields, the decor is superb, dinner is awesome.
We almost didn’t get dinner as we assumed guests would not need to reserve a table for dinner. Thankfully after mentioning it was our wedding anniversary and a special weekend they found us a spot. This is so remote there is no option for plan B. At check in we were wrongly informed breakfast was not included with our room so we made other plans, at checkout we were offered our inclusive breakfast, some confusion but we got breakfast. Breakfast itself was laughable, of the 4 options one was unavailable I had the cooked breakfast which could have fitted into a single slice of bread folded over. Don’t expect to walk far on that.

Not a huge choice. But cooked beautifully. Jane who dealt with breakfast. (She took orders and served) she was very good. Friendly and efficient.
Some sort of little fridge in the rooms. Delivered milk in the morning which was good. By the time we got back in the afternoon the milk was not nice. Could not keep any of our drinks cool. The weather was wonderful and hot. A little something to keep drinks cold would have been good.

Loved every bit of the cottage it was beautiful
The shower head is angled and we couldn’t straighten it , maybe a bigger shower head with a little more water pressure if there was anything to feed back as a better if , Apart from this little minor thing it was superb. We would most definitely re book

Once in a while one lands on a genuine gem of a hotel. This is certainly one. An enormous amount of care and hard work has gone into its refurbishment and ethos. The room we had was beautifully laid out with everything you might need. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom excellent. The highest praise must be for the staff and the food. The food is simply outstanding. Innovative, creative but not at all fussy and above all delicious. The staff seem to share a joint passion for the place and what it stands for. Impeccable.
Absolutely nothing

The room was absolutely beautiful and done to a very high standard.
After switching off the lights, the room was lit up by the smoke alarm light. This wasn't just a little, I could almost read by the flipping thing. It's high up on the ceiling, so you can't cover it over either. It really affected my sleep.

Staff in the pub/restaurant were all, without exception, excellent - couldn't be more accommodating. Everyone was also very understanding about one of our dogs, who is very excitable and a bit of a barker! The food was absolutely delicious, particularly the vegetarian options, so much so we ate in the restaurant both nights and then enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast before we left. It was also really nice to talk to the chef, who came out for a chat with us after our first meal. Loved his very friendly dog too! Our room was also very comfortable, beautifully clean and all new fixtures and fittings. We will definitely be back for our next hiking trip to the Peaks!
Nothing - couldn't fault this place.
