You couldn’t get more remote. The cottage is located next to a fantastic gastro-pub (booking recommended) and it has great views in all directions. The room was clean, well supplied and serviced every day. Breakfast was plentiful and would suit any taste. Hosts were fabulous! Bretton is about 10 minutes drive above Eyam, perhaps an hours walk. There’s a car park at the cottage, and the pub next door serves excellent food and has a terrace with great views over the valley. The whole location is central to many of the Peaks attractions - Stannage Edge, Hathersage, Chatsworth etc.

Breakfast was served right next to our room, great views of the countryside. The choice of dishes was excellent and well-cooked. Beautifully served by our host Andrew who was so helpful, he gave us a voucher for Haddon Hall and was good enough to take in a package that my girlfriend had arranged to be delivered to the property!

Can't think of anything, apart from maybe the wi-fi being a bit slow but given the location probably not surprising.

Excellent choice for breakfast. Quick and tasty. While out for the day our room was cleaned and fresh tea, coffee facilities added. Fresh towels provided. Easy check in and check out. Lovely homely cottage feel the building and the furnishings. Great to have a large jug f water chilled in the fridge. Very large and comfortable bed which gave us a feel of luxury.

We were happy with everything. We did need a knife to cut up Lemons and Limes for drinks.

The breakfast options were quite limited considering the cost. The room where it was served was lovely and cozy and Andrew was very tentative and friendly when serving.

There was a lot of noise from the adjacent rooms. It was quite difficult to relax and sleep. Andrew was great in addressing this, as it wasn't his fault that certain guests cannot behave.

Just perfect location for views and exploring the area away from the crowds. Most Welcoming hosts who have 100% into this charming cottage. Breakfast - great varied choice on offer and very tasty served in an quirky intermate setting. Definitely will return

Think it needs a security night light that comes on when returning in the dark when navigating back to the door of the room.

Very good quality B&B in a nice countryside location, peaceful and quiet and good for relaxation. A warm and friendly host who looked after us well. Also as a bonus it has a very good pub next door with very good pub grub.

Due to the nature of my stay I would have preferred breakfast to be earlier than 08.00am. It would have been handy to have a cloth for the kitchenette. To a certain extent minor issues.

The location was excellent. I was looking for an isolated venue but this had isolation with a pub next door! Bonus!! Great location for running/walks.

Balcony room. Boot cupboard needs a door on it or loosing any noise from the ground floor accommodation comes through. Also, bathroom extractor fan wasn't working.

Lovely large groundfloor room. Massive comfortable bed. 2-comfortable bucket chairs to watch television. Small utility room with fridge, kettle and sink. Good pub next door that served excellent meals which saved having to travel as the property is rather isolated. Good choice of breakfast . Host was excellent with a good sense of humour. Lovely large double size shower.

We found the basin in the bathroom was too small, especially as there was plenty of space to fit a larger one. Bathmat was a bit on the small size. These are only minor points which did not spoil are experience of Bretton Cottage.

We loved the room, which had so much space - it seems much bigger in person than the photos look and was very clean. Andrew was a brilliant host, providing a warm welcome and getting us settled in despite our relatively late arrival. A lovely breakfast, plenty to choose from and nice and filling to set us up for the day.

Absolutely loved everything about this beautiful property and Andrew , the delightful host- I love Eyam and the scenery is amazing, weather was lovely, our room was lovely, clean and the bed was divine to sleep in. Breakfast was amazing too! Definitely will be back

There was no complaints abbot the property only that we had to come home
