The hotel is in a good location for travelling into the city (we stayed for work). But is far enough out to enjoy some peace and quiet. There was no noise at night. The hotel garden also backs into fields so has a nice view. We ate some of the tapas kind of plates in the restaurant and were impressed by the quality, the meat is from a local butcher. All the staff at the hotel were really friendly, helpful and accommodating, excellent customer service.

A little tired in some of the rooms but it’s clear they have done a lot of refurbishment and are continuing to update the hotel. Our bathroom was clearly brand new and very nice. Unfortunately the pool was being refurbished also at the time of our stay. There was no mention of this on booking.com or on the website.

The location was beautiful , was pray and quiet, facilities were great, loved the garden area, the place was well kept and staff were very welcoming and helpful, parking wasn’t a issue as they have plenty of space. Room was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable and clean.

Wouldn’t say I didn’t like but the shower has a mind of its own, was either scalding hot or ice cold without even touching anything, could do a non slip shower Matt as I nearly broke my neck reaching for the shower gel on the floor as there was nowhere else too store your things, could get a hang over storage shelf would help loads 👍 But other than that we didn’t have any issues at all

We booked a king bed superior room. The room was a great size. Huge bed and very comfortable. Tea and coffee tray was great. Hair dryer, iron etc plus bottled water. The bathroom was large but in need of a re vamp. Skylight had a little mould around it as did some of the rest of the bathroom. The bedroom carpet needs a very good clean or replaced. Didn't hinder our stay at all. Just needs up dating. The full english breakfast was superb. Defintely worth the money. All members of staff were so friendly and professional.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were professional, friendly, and very accommodating, making us feel welcome from the start. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious—we enjoyed every meal. We also asked about hosting our wedding here and were given a tour by Aga, who was fantastic. She answered all our questions and made us feel very confident and excited about the venue. Overall, a great experience. We’d happily return and highly recommend it to other couples—whether for a getaway or a special event.

The overall experience of my stay was very good, from the ease at booking in, right through to me leaving, it was a very welcoming place. I had the full English breakfast the next morning & I have to say, it really was 1, if not, the best I've had whilst on my travels. I did compliment the chef, as I thought it deserved recognition.

If I was being picky, I would say that the rooms could maybe do with a refurb. They're a bit dated, but clean, comfortable & all the amenities that you would expect.

Really cosy nice place, great when the sunshine is out and the pool is open, I didn't go in but was nice just to sit and have a drink relaxing near the pool, food is amazing, it really is high quality food you would get from a restaurant in London but without having to remortgage your house to pay for it, no more expensive than your normal family pub, staff friendly and really good service.

There's nothing really that I didn't like, before this stay I was in another room that was facing the sun, was abit warm but nothing you can't handle, this time I was round the other side in a bigger room with a pool view, was a much better room and opening the curtains in the morning looking past the pool to an amazing view was a good wake up.

The staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. We checked in late and wanted to go straight to the restaurant. We were shown to our rooms and given a choice of tables even though it was very busy and late. After dinner we asked if we could join the main bar area where they had a live singer. Again we were accommodated and the staff asked the singer to stay on for an extra half an hour as we arrived late. Fantastic food and a great atmosphere made for an exceptional stay.

We got married at this hotel and visit every year for our Anniversary. It is situated in a beautiful location in the countryside . The staff are so welcoming . The room was unique and clean it had everything we required. The food was excellent We particularly enjoyed the hot tub it was so private as we were in the countryside in the peace and quiet , and were not overlooked we came away feeling very relaxed. Would highly recommend .

The field view room where we stayed did have a few minor maintenance issues. The shower didn’t work properly and the door handle was hanging off. We did report this and was resolved just as we were leaving.

The staff were helpful, friendly and very accommodating. Nice food and clean facilities. The place is kept really well and we had a lovely time there. Would definitely go again and recommend.

We were a little disappointed to not feel like we could use the swimming pool on the second day as it was open to the public. I understand the necessity to open it up for extra income in these difficult times but it's a shame it's not just for paying and staying customers.

The food was DIVINE - we didn't feel the need to go out for lunch on a single night that we stayed there. We assume they must get locals eating there too - I know I would if I loved nearby. The staff were friendly, helpful, and informative. There was a bit of confusion regarding our rooms (I'd recommend calling them directly instead of booking through booking.com, it makes amendments FAR easier), but the staff member I spoke to called me back after about 15 minutes to inform me that everything was sorted. Minimal fuss! The rooms could maybe do with a bit of updating, (I'm not sure if they're in the process of doing this already?) but they were perfectly comfortable and I slept like a baby.

Booking through booking.com caused quite a bit of confusion when it came to amending the booking. I was helpfully advised by the front desk to book with them directly in future. (fortunately everything got sorted!)
