Comfy bed, VIP customer service, excellent staff. Location is great, near the main cities around, specially Leicester. Food is amazing in the restaurant. Good quality breakfast. Very high cleaning standard. SPA facilities are great, water in the pool and jacuzzi in lovely warm temperature. Sauna and steam room very nice too. Parking availability and great wifi too. We loved everything, we had a great long weekend at the hotel.

The only recommendation for improvement: to have the breakfast menu in all the tables opposite the bar. We just found out the menu in or last day, when we sit at the table nr. 01. If we sit opposite, table nr 20 and above, there wasn't the menu there...

The area the hotel sits in was lovely, very pretty. The hotel had a good feel. Nice size hotel, the staff were excellent nothing was to.much trouble. The restaurant staff were the best, a special mention to.keira and Ava who worked this bank holiday weekend. The leisure centre was very good , the therapist Demi we had on Saturday for our treatments was excellent. when staying, make sure you check out facilities and the offer for afternoon tea. Highly recommended this hotel.

The mattress on the bed needed replacing.. the shower pressure needed to be better. The breakfast area could do with being a bit bigger. On Sunday the hotel was very busy and there was a wait to be seated.

It was very clean and we had everything we needed. Great staff and very helpful and polite, we had a slight leak in the bathroom and we was upgraded instantly without any fuss and without us asking. The leisure / spa facilities was great, great sized pool, steam & sauna rooms were of adequate size also the jacuzzi was large, great relaxing area/room off to the side of the pool which is a nice touch. Beds were comfortable and had no issues in getting a good nights sleep, bar area was nice with two different areas to chose from also an outside area with plenty of seats. Breakfast was great with fresh food being replenished when needed. We will definitely be coming back 10/10

Nothing to dislike

well what can you say? We rocked up on the bikes and we're met at reception by an absolute star of a lady, she was genuinely friendly and so helpful, sets a great tone to the whole stay. Went to our room, which was large and clean, king size bed as well, dumped the kit and straight for food. We sat in the bar had a drink and ordered food, again the staff in their are great and friendly ..........WOW, now I'm a greedy man but the starter course of chilli nachos was huge, I struggled with the Chicken Swarmas but both courses were simply gorgeous. My veggie other half ordered the Mushroom burger and was equally impressed. Have added this hotel to my favs on booking com and will definitely be back.Never got to use the Leisure facilities but next time we will for sure.

nothing not to like, it's a great place, great location

Everywhere was clean and beautifully decorated. Especially the lovely bar and restaurant. The food is amazing. Coffee is pretty good. I made full use of the spa. Super friendly staff. I left my sunglasses and phone charger and Anna has gone out of her way to let me know that she has them and they’re sending on to me this week. I have stayed here before many years ago and it’s even better now. Will be back for one of their 90s party nights with a friend 🤩

One of the receptionist was a bit grumpy but literally everyone else was friendly, matured and understands good customer service.

Its an old Hotel and a little dated, however that became part of the charm!! But to be honest what made our mini break amazing was the staff!!! A real credit to your hotel!!! They couldn't do enough to make our stay amazing! From walking in to the reception for the first time and being greated with a genuine smile and welcome by the reception team to the bar /waitress lady who was just as welcoming! To the fitness center staff being just as amazing with Steven going over and above to make our stay brilliant!!! Even the house keeping team greated us with a friendly and enthusiastic " good morning " as we passed them in the corridor. Will definitely be back !!!!

The staff at the front desk were really friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the bathroom seemed very clean to me. The stay included access to the swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna which made it a really good deal. Would stay again on that basis!

The walls seemed quite thin as I could hear the guests next door a lot - it didn’t seem a particularly busy night for the hotel so I would suggest booking people into rooms that aren’t next to each other when possible. The hotel is quite dated in its decor (room very brown!) but it was clean, staff were friendly and pool etc was great. Noise was main issue but would take earplugs or ask for a more isolated room if possible I guess.

What a lovely place to stay! We were greeted warmly, and the room was large. We had a bath with a shower over. It was a 10 minute walk to the next village, where there are 2 pubs that are worth the walk We walked back and ate at the hotel. The food was good quality and was hot. Breakfast in the morning was great. There was fresh fruit, yoghurt, and pastries. Toast and jam, or a full English. What's not to like. We would definitely stay here again.

Nothing really

Standard double room was spacious . Friendly staff , receptionist was a very pleasant and helpful . At the restaurant 12oz short rib dish was terrific and to die for . Scrambled eggs on monday morning one of best i have tasted . Big compliments to the chef Gym well equiped

Mon-fri during breakfast you need to order eggs , and when asked for additional portion , seems like there was an issue as staff member went to ask for chef rather just do it as there should not be limited to single plate . Sauna was out of order over weekend , one of hinged came loose and small thing wasnt fixed for 2 days

Rooms were well decorated and clean, bathroom more than adequate, could have done with better access to electric sockets for kettle and hairdryer. Went to a Saturday night function where the food was quite good, breakfast was very good and the overall ambience in the hotel was very good

Top price drinks but not served well, we had quite a number of gin and tonics and I don’t think there was two matching gin glasses in the building! Presentation of gin and tonics not good with slices of lemon instead of wedges of lime. Had hot sandwiches in the bar on arrival and one was supposed to be hot beef but it wasn’t and was on different bread from advertised. Wine choice was woeful.
