This was my second stay in what is undoubtedly a beautiful welcoming b&b run by 2 amazing hosts Tim and Vivi, who go out of their way to make sure I felt right at home from the moment I walked through the door. The accommodation is just lovely, really comfortable, homely and extremely clean, which shows the care and attention taken by the owners, infact the photos, honestly do not do the place justice and on top of this Vivi mentioned that she cooks thai food in the evenings by request, so rather than go out I relaxed and booked and ate a delicious Thai curry.. I woke up next morning after great night's sleep and rounded off the experience with a hearty cooked breakfast made with quality ingredients. All in all I had an amazing stay and will definitely be back sometime in the future.

Our stay at The Hollies was absolutely wonderful. Tim and Vivi went above and beyond to accommodate all six of us, even allowing us to check in hours early so we could get ready for my nephew's wedding. The rooms were spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed, and full of character. Vivi's welcoming touches and attention to detail was evident everywhere, from the complimentary mini bottles of wine to the towels and mint chocolates laid out on each bed.. The cooked breakfast was delicious, and Tim even went out of his way to get special vegan sausages for one of our party. A latch key for each room was a nice touch - giving us the freedom to come and go as we pleased. The property itself is gorgeous, full of character and perfectly located for exploring the surrounding countryside. I only wish we could've stayed longer! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a place to stay.

We were way later arriving than originally anticipated due to traffic congestion. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome, before a tour of the 200+ year old property. Starters and mains were prepared with no fuss even though we didn't turn up until 9pm! The food was great by Vivi and they were a lovely couple. The room (Servants quarters) was great and in keeping with the property. The bathroom facility was clean and spacious. Breakfast was freshly prepared at the requested time of 7:45am the following morning. We will visit again next time we are in the area ❤️

The most beautiful old house with the loveliest hosts, Tim and Vivi was excellent hosts, the rooms was spotless clean the bathroom was amazing the double shower was excellent, and the food! Oh my the best tasting sausage and mash I have had ever, breakfast was excellent and cooked to perfection, Tim was so attentive and we felt like we were at home, cosy homely and just Excellent can't recommend this property enough, we plan to return when touring this area again, firm 10 out of 10

There was nothing not to like

Tim & Vivi were incredibly helpful for our stay. We had 3 rooms to attend a nearby wedding and they were super helpful working round wedding timings so we can check in early / arrive late. The rooms were great and the en-suite was great for getting ready. We also had a great cooked breakfast in the morning to help us recover from the previous night! Can't recommend enough

Fantastic stay in huge Victorian country house. Tim the host was very friendly who showed us around the property - large, well equipped shared kitchen and then to our huge room! The kitchen facilities are of a very high standard - Big range cooker, fridge, coffee machine etc. The bathroom was massive, with powerful hot shower. Tim cooked us a lovely fresh full English in the morning and generally could not do enough for us! Although there were other guests staying the size of the place makes it seem like you have the whole place to yourself! There is a cosy country pub right next door with good selection of beer, stonebaked pizza on Wednesday nights. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Gorgeous accomodation with wonderful hosts. The Hollies is a 200 year old house that retains many of its period features. Our bedroom (room 6) was like a suite, with its own spacious bathroom. Tim and Vivi are fantastic hosts. Complimentary wine upon arrival was a lovely touch. Extensive choice for breakfast which was served at our chosen time in the lovely kitchen, where complimentary tea and coffee, etc, was available whenever we wanted anything.

Absolutely nothing!

We had a comfortable nights sleep in a beautiful room within the Hollies, which is a charming historic property. Tim & Vivi both gave us a warm welcome, and the cooked breakfast in the morning was delicious! We set off home the next morning well rested and fed, what more do you want from a B&B?

Nothing! I would rate 11/10 if I could!

Tim and Vivi were wonderful hosts. They have a quaint property which is clean and welcoming. The facilities were excellent and Tim was very helpful with letting us know about them and our stay in general. The beds were comfortable and the full english was spot on. We only stayed one night due to a local wedding but would happily stay for longer. An excellent place to spend a night, highly recommended.

The parking was slightly cramped.

Beautiful old house with lots of original features. Comfy bed, large bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. Breakfast was superb, local produce and lots of choice. But my favourite was the freshly made Thai meals made by Vivi. Great, friendly hosts and definitely value for money.

Only issue was a lack of sockets in the room, but I’m sure if we asked we could have used sockets in the kitchen and dining room.
