We were way later arriving than originally anticipated due to traffic congestion. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome, before a tour of the 200+ year old property. Starters and mains were prepared with no fuss even though we didn't turn up until 9pm! The food was great by Vivi and they were a lovely couple. The room (Servants quarters) was great and in keeping with the property. The bathroom facility was clean and spacious. Breakfast was freshly prepared at the requested time of 7:45am the following morning. We will visit again next time we are in the area ❤️

The most beautiful old house with the loveliest hosts, Tim and Vivi was excellent hosts, the rooms was spotless clean the bathroom was amazing the double shower was excellent, and the food! Oh my the best tasting sausage and mash I have had ever, breakfast was excellent and cooked to perfection, Tim was so attentive and we felt like we were at home, cosy homely and just Excellent can't recommend this property enough, we plan to return when touring this area again, firm 10 out of 10

There was nothing not to like

Fantastic stay in huge Victorian country house. Tim the host was very friendly who showed us around the property - large, well equipped shared kitchen and then to our huge room! The kitchen facilities are of a very high standard - Big range cooker, fridge, coffee machine etc. The bathroom was massive, with powerful hot shower. Tim cooked us a lovely fresh full English in the morning and generally could not do enough for us! Although there were other guests staying the size of the place makes it seem like you have the whole place to yourself! There is a cosy country pub right next door with good selection of beer, stonebaked pizza on Wednesday nights. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Gorgeous accomodation with wonderful hosts. The Hollies is a 200 year old house that retains many of its period features. Our bedroom (room 6) was like a suite, with its own spacious bathroom. Tim and Vivi are fantastic hosts. Complimentary wine upon arrival was a lovely touch. Extensive choice for breakfast which was served at our chosen time in the lovely kitchen, where complimentary tea and coffee, etc, was available whenever we wanted anything.

Tim and Vivi were wonderful hosts. They have a quaint property which is clean and welcoming. The facilities were excellent and Tim was very helpful with letting us know about them and our stay in general. The beds were comfortable and the full english was spot on. We only stayed one night due to a local wedding but would happily stay for longer. An excellent place to spend a night, highly recommended.

The parking was slightly cramped.

Beautiful old house with lots of original features. Comfy bed, large bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. Breakfast was superb, local produce and lots of choice. But my favourite was the freshly made Thai meals made by Vivi. Great, friendly hosts and definitely value for money.

Only issue was a lack of sockets in the room, but I’m sure if we asked we could have used sockets in the kitchen and dining room.

I liked the space, the easy nature of it all and the small bottle of wine beside my bed while I can't tell you how it tasted it's above and beyond. I had an ensuite room and it was just more than I expected.

It's not perfect, a little quirky even but it's just very likeable. A lovely vibe, Just well done.

From tbe outset of my booking, hosts Tim & Vivi could not have been better or more helpful! From recommending local taxi firms, recommending local destinations to offering (very) early access to my room and letting my extended family change at the property prior to going to a wedding, they were fantastic! The property itself is beautiful and offers exceptional facilities

10/10. Not only was the house and room beautiful and comfortable, but Tim and Vivi’s hospitality is outstanding. Kind and welcoming, they went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Bed was incredibly comfortable, food filling and delicious (order the pad Thai!) and the shower was perfect. Room 3 is perfect if you want a private oasis with ensuite or if you are traveling with a child.

I stayed for 4 nights at The Hollies for work. Tim was a great host - thank you. A good selection of breakfast to set you up for the day! The room was well presented, with tea and coffee facilities and a couple of complimentary beverages! It's a lovely quiet spot with parking on site, would stay again.
