Breakfast was superb in the morning as I had a full English and the staff were extremely friendly. Unfortunately due to my late arrival I was unable to have dinner at the hotel but I'm sure it'd of been great. The bed was also extremely comfortable and it was on the direct route home from Colchester (where I was working) back home to the North West so the location was ideal for the situation.

The only thing that could of made it a little better is if they served food a little later or could of premade me some food, but I wasn't annoyed by this at as I did turn up relatively late there just wasn't anything else I could think of.

Double glazing excellent against the noise of the traffic. Room very comfortable! Shower powerful. Restaurant staff very helpful Food delicious.

A bit far from the M1 for our journey. One of our windows was at our ankle level and just aboce the front door - felt a bit visible. I would have put a net curtain or venetian blind over it to allow privacy but also light.

I've stayed at The George before, as it is well located for when I'm visiting the local area. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The accommodation is very pleasant and the food is generally good.

I had problems accessing the internet via my laptop, mainly due to the weak password (a common occurrence in hotels and pubs). I also had problems accessing email via my mobile when in the restaurant plus some areas of the car park, although I was able to access them when in my room.

The staff were lovely, Sally in particular. I had accidentally booked the wrong night to stay and turned up the day before. The staff were really accommodating and were able to rearrange my booking (thankfully they had a spare room). The food was delicious, both evening meal and breakfast. The room was comfy, clean, on a quiet location, and close enough to Market Harborough. Good parking facility too.

It would have been nice if there were other hot drink options in the room: hot chocolate and different flavoured teas. The breakfast was lovely, but there wasn't a menu to help me see what was on offer, although the waiter said that the kitchen could make anything for breakfast.

We were attending a wedding which start time coinsided with check in but they were very accomodating and explained that although the room prob wouldn't be ready that we could put our belongings in and get changed.All in all,excellent and if attending a wedding at Kelmarsh hall,The George is ideally situated as just in next village.

Everything! Great ambience. Tastefully decorated throughout. Friendly welcome and attention from Rachel. Evening food was exceptional.

Minor niggle was that it was hot so the window had to be kept open inspite of a fan being provided. The cellar motor fans (due to the summer heat) were on all night which was not ideal.

This was ideal for a business trip in the local area. Lovely bar and restaurant. Dinner was excellent. We all enjoyed what we had. The rooms exceeded our expectations and are were extremely good value for money. I would recommend to anyone. The hotel went out of their way to provide a takeaway breakfast for some of our party who had to leave the hotel prior to the commencement of breakfast service, which was greatly appreciated.

The only thing to spoil it was a very bad stench of sewage in the bathroom in our double room. Enough to make us both gag, which was very unpleasant. It was mentioned to reception the following morning and we were told that a plumber had been out the week before but couldn't fix it as the room was been booked out. We only booked that room a few days before we arrived so it should have been sorted before any more bookings were taken.

Very friendly staff, met at the reception straight away and checked in in a couple of minutes. Rooms beautiful and very clean. Property is obviously well looked after. Booked for evening meal in the restaurant which was really nice and again staff where attentive and knew there jobs.

Clean and well appointed bedrooms. Bathroom was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent: a range of cereal, yogurts and cooked food.

We couldn’t find an iron in the room (we didn’t ask for one so I’m unsure whether one could’ve been provided if we asked).

The George was better than expected. The public areas were clean. The restaurant overlooks a beautiful garden. Breakfast was amazing, nothing too much trouble. We were attending a wedding function in a different area and the staff were extremely helpful in offering to book taxis etc.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.
