Breakfast was superb in the morning as I had a full English and the staff were extremely friendly. Unfortunately due to my late arrival I was unable to have dinner at the hotel but I'm sure it'd of been great. The bed was also extremely comfortable and it was on the direct route home from Colchester (where I was working) back home to the North West so the location was ideal for the situation.

The only thing that could of made it a little better is if they served food a little later or could of premade me some food, but I wasn't annoyed by this at as I did turn up relatively late there just wasn't anything else I could think of.

I've stayed at The George before, as it is well located for when I'm visiting the local area. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The accommodation is very pleasant and the food is generally good.

I had problems accessing the internet via my laptop, mainly due to the weak password (a common occurrence in hotels and pubs). I also had problems accessing email via my mobile when in the restaurant plus some areas of the car park, although I was able to access them when in my room.

The staff were lovely, Sally in particular. I had accidentally booked the wrong night to stay and turned up the day before. The staff were really accommodating and were able to rearrange my booking (thankfully they had a spare room). The food was delicious, both evening meal and breakfast. The room was comfy, clean, on a quiet location, and close enough to Market Harborough. Good parking facility too.

It would have been nice if there were other hot drink options in the room: hot chocolate and different flavoured teas. The breakfast was lovely, but there wasn't a menu to help me see what was on offer, although the waiter said that the kitchen could make anything for breakfast.

This was ideal for a business trip in the local area. Lovely bar and restaurant. Dinner was excellent. We all enjoyed what we had. The rooms exceeded our expectations and are were extremely good value for money. I would recommend to anyone. The hotel went out of their way to provide a takeaway breakfast for some of our party who had to leave the hotel prior to the commencement of breakfast service, which was greatly appreciated.

The only thing to spoil it was a very bad stench of sewage in the bathroom in our double room. Enough to make us both gag, which was very unpleasant. It was mentioned to reception the following morning and we were told that a plumber had been out the week before but couldn't fix it as the room was been booked out. We only booked that room a few days before we arrived so it should have been sorted before any more bookings were taken.

The George was better than expected. The public areas were clean. The restaurant overlooks a beautiful garden. Breakfast was amazing, nothing too much trouble. We were attending a wedding function in a different area and the staff were extremely helpful in offering to book taxis etc.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Breakfast - great to get properly made poached eggs for a change, so many hotels and B&Bs fail on this simple task. Though I did not eat an evening meal this time around, from experience they use quality ingredients and prepare the food very well. Room was nice and spacious, with a comfy bed and a large shower area.

Rooms can be noisy if bar area and restaurant are busy, but this is only a minor gripe.

Everything, from the greeting on arrival a lovely experience, fantastic facilities, Pub and gorgeous food. The garden was beautiful and a nice relaxing place. All in all a brilliant place to stay. I'll be making this my 1st choice when in the area.

I found The George to be a lovely place to stay overnight. All areas were very pleasant and the garden, with outside seating, was delightful. The owner and staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.

If wanting to leave the bedroom window open, there could be an element of traffic noise, as The George is located on a main road. However, I did keep my window open overnight and didn't find this to be much of an issue. I certainly slept well enough.

At first glance from the road wasn’t impressed but never judge a book by its cover .the garden at the back was delightful and the hotel lived well up to expectations. Breakfast was good could have been better otherwise it would have been a 10 .dinner was lovely.

Just little thing at breakfast , a little fruit with the yogurt would have been nice and toast on the table but other wise it was very good ,good portions .

Efficient warm welcome on arrival. Good wifi. Exceptionally comfortable bed in spacious room. My brother's breakfast looked very good but I could not enjoy a cooked breakfast as I had somewhat over-indulged the previous evening - yes, the drinks were very good too!

My steak at dinner was a little disappointing, otherwise very good food.
