Thank goodness we found Carlton Corner B&B. We needed somewhere very close to our daughter's new house so location was important, but we ended up with a superb all round experience! Communication was fast and helpful, the room extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and every detail had been so well thought through, down to the provision of home made muffins (most welcome). A great night's sleep in a comfy bed, followed by the treat of a full English breakfast using local produce. It was lovely to meet our hosts and chat with them over breakfast - they had so many great local tips that we were able to pass on to daughter + her boyfriend. Can't recommend highly enough.

Spotlessly clean, friendly and obliging host. Nice extra touches like home made biscuits. High quality furnishings. Well appointed, tastefully decorated room which was spacious and welcoming. Delicious breakfast with quality ingredients. Gorgeous views and open spaces.

Bathroom was compact, but thoughtfully designed. Blinds did not completely block out the light, which in the summer results in early starts. Furniture adjustment would allow curtains to address this.

Everything from arrival to leaving was great. Smashing breakfast. Lovely rooms. Great hosts who were so very friendly and great to talk with. Gave us up front info months in advance for taxis & food. Gave us info on walking routes. Felt more like we were staying with family as it was so comfortable. Attention to detail in the rooms was fantastic. Including cake on arrival & fluffy dressing gowns.

Carlton Corner was an exceptionally relaxed, welcoming and friendly place to stay in an excellent setting backing onto fields. The quality of the rooms and breakfast was exceptionally high and I felt a lot of attention had been spent on detail, that enhanced the stay. Jay was a very friendly and well-informed host. The local area was interesting to walk around too. I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely location on the edge of this old village, There were open fields to the rear with a patio door to sit in the garden. There was a very good restaurant within easy walking distance. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice. The owners were extremely pleasant

Location was excellent and easy to find. Room was super clean with everything you could ask for. Hosts were extremely friendly and breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying there again if in the area.

Modern and spotless room, comfortable bed, convenient outside door with direct access to parking area, fantastic and accommodating hosts (Jay and Dave) who took care to ask about dietary requirements and make sure they were met. I would definitely return – this is one of the best B&B experiences I have ever had.

Having an outside door meant that you minimised disruption to other guests and gave a quiet space to sit and read. Fresh milk in a flask. Sooo much better than the little cartons! Breakfast was excellent. Try the homemade granola!

The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and pleasant and the bed comfortable. There was an excellent choice for breakfast, including vegetarian choices.

Not much not to like! If I were being very picky, somewhere near to or part of the basin unit to put wash things etc. would have been good.

Great location, super room which felt like a hotel room and loved our patio overlooking open grazing land complete with sheep! Good selection of pubs and restaurants for an evening meal too. Delicious breakfast too!
