We loved the comfortable and spacious accommodation. There was everything you need ed for a goodnights sleep. Bed was huge and very comfortable. The restaurant was excellent with a huge varied restaurant to suit all tastes. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

We hadn’t expected breakfast to be a do it yourself continental breakfast. There were juices, yoghurts, plenty of fresh fruit, toast and marmalade, tea and coffee but we expected a cooked breakfast as it was pub accommodation. We didn’t see this specified anywhere. The light in the bathroom could be better, but that’s a small issue.

Location. Own kitchen area in self contained barn conversion. Food served on premises. Friendly and welcoming staff. Dog friendly and treats and water offered to dog when we were waiting for food. All on one level. Good facilities. 11am vacating time. Excellent food in pub. Easy check in and check out.

Bed hard as nails! Like sleeping on a mortuary slab! But that is personal choice. I like sleeping in a bed rather than on it. The breakfast provisions were a bit haphazard. One guest gluten free and so all bread supplied was gluten free? Some of the fruit was over ripe. Cereals were gluten. The room was off the courtyard which had pub customers dining etc and so quite noisy until gone 10pm. But if you watched tv and turned volume up ok. Seemed to be a slight mix up with the meal bill. We initially paid for drinks as we bought them. Then when we ordered food a tab was opened and some of the previous paid drinks seem to appear on the tab too. It was only one glass of wine and one beer but seemed a bit disorganised.

Really lovely, spacious and dog friendly accommodation. Spotlessly clean. Comfy lounge furniture. Nice continental breakfast with fresh fruit bowl a nice touch. Slept really well in huge bed. Landlord and staff were all very welcoming and attentive. Delicious evening meal served in pub, wish we were staying longer!

Would have been nice to have a light above the mirror in the bathroom.

The breakfast was sufficient for the duration of our stay, with fruit, bread, etc available and we only had to ask for extra juice at the bar and it was made available. The staff and management were very effective and helpful when we had a slight medical emergency. Their care, concern and suport was much appreciated, our thanks to them all.

We were expecting a large room with a small kitchen area. When we arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff. Shown to our room which was a double room apartment in a converted barn. It was fantastic, breakfast was supplied, bed was large and comfortable. We were so impressed with everything.

Nothing to be honest

The Barn at The Red Lion is a wonderful place. You have a bedroom, a separate kitchen/living area and, of course, the bathroom. The breakfast cereals, yogurt, bread, etc. are all left in your accommodation for you. All areas are well finished, very clean and comfortable. The staff in The Red Lion were great and the food was really good.

No complaints.

Lovely property with large lounge diner, bathroom and bedroom. Good facilities with fridge and microwave. Friendly pub next door serving great food. Nice walks around the area at the meditation centre just down the road.

Unfortunately when we visited it was in the middle of a heatwave and it was very hot in the property. Not the owners fault but providing a fan may have helped to cool the room.

Unique single accommodation unit close to, but detached from, the village pub. Spotlessly clean. Large very comfortable bed. Sitting area nicely furnished. Ingredients for us to make our own continental breakfast were well thought out. Met our request for early check in. Excellent lunch in the dog-friendly Red Lion. Staff were helpful and polite.

It was incredibly hot due to the heatwave although a fan was provided. Good water pressure in the shower but it would be safer with a grab-rail over the bath. On-demand hot water for the kitchen sink and basin is scalding and needs turning down or a warning notice provided.

The unique accommodation on offer at the Red Lion is exceptional which is a converted building set in the grounds of a great boozer. What's not to like! Very well appointed accommodation which made for a great overnight stay! Many thanks

Absolutely nothing

Friendly staff. Comfortable sitting/kitchen area with the room. Good breakfast selection in the room. Pub dining on site - excellent and tasty food served without delay. Quiet.

Bed was a bit hard but that maybe a personal preference.
