Wayne and Caroline were excellent hosts. The inn was charming and reflected its original history. The room was clean and very comfortable. I had booked 2 separate reservations when we decided to add another night but our original room was not available. Wayne offered to see if the guest in the room for our second night was willing to move so we would not have to change rooms for the second night. It worked out for everyone and was a nice gesture for Wayne to think of. There is a great pub, The Red Lion, across the street which was very convenient and tasty for our first night. It was also fun to be part of what appeared to be the village gathering spot.
Guests should be aware that there is no breakfast included, although it is well communicated. They do include some small nibbles and all the coffee and tea fixings which was adequate for us. We ended up having a wonderful breakfast and good conversation at The Pickle and Pie in Crick which is a 5 minute drive from Kilsby.

Excellent stay, self contained bedroom, desk area and bathroom, all warm, comfortable and welcoming. Bed was particularly comfortable. Host sent details of access etc beforehand and everything was very straightforward. Perfect for a home base for a night or two, longer if you’re going to eat out most of the time.
Only thing I would add is a little crockery/cutlery for heating food in microwave - but it’s not a kitchen unit and that is reflected in the excellent price per night. Other units have kitchens.

Really quiet location, nice secure parking, and characterful property. Great communication from the host with check-in details. Lovely bedroom decor finished to a high standard; very clean and comfortable, and a decent sized TV.
Shame there is no breakfast offering, as there is not much else nearby. The blinds on the bedroom windows need to be properly closed to ensure privacy, yet do a poor job of keeping the morning light out - curtains and nets may be more effective.

Wayne messaged us in advance with entry details and met us on arrival and showed us the rooms, couldn’t have been more helpful. We stayed here as a family of 5, in 3 seperate rooms. My husband and I were in The Paddocks, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The bedroom was a good size, shower was powerful and plenty of towels. The Manger and The Saddlery were spacious and comfortable, again well equipped with towels. A nice touch of cakes and biscuits left in all rooms.
Could’ve done with a clothes horse for drying clothes, but not a deal breaker as we put the radiators on.

Clear instructions up front, easy to locate and easy to park in the secure courtyard. Quiet village location. Very comfortable bed, good shower, lots of nice little touches in addition to the normal tea and coffee making facilities. The room was clean, light and airy with a good amount of space to move around and had beautiful character beams. Hosts provided a choice of treats and there was a kettle, fridge and microwave so we could make breakfast with shopping we brought with us. There is a pub and a local shop across the road. The shop has limited opening hours which you would expect for a small village. We walked along the quiet streets with chocolate box style thatched cottages. Perfect relaxed location for us when visiting our family in Rugby as we travelled by car and helped us discover places like the Heart of the Shires on the way.
For my personal preference, I would change the window blinds as they let is a lot of light in the morning through the two large windows. I prefer a darker room in the mornings as the sunlight wakes me up. We had brought our own portable black out blind but we didn't realise there would be two windows. I'll bring a sleep mask for my fussiness next time.

Lovely little room, very toasty on arrival, we turned the thermostat down from 23.5, bit hot for us! The Saddlery had a microwave and plates and cutlery. Good quality ded linen and we both found the bed very comfortable. Good sized shower. Location suited us very well and the Red Lion opposite served us really nice food in a relaxed atmosphere. Would happily stay there again.

fabulous location which was behind secure coded gates. stunning courtyard which was well lit (we arrived in the dark). very clear arrival instructions which were super easy to follow. super clean accomodation. very comfortable and decorated to a really high standard. absolutely everything has been thought of from tea, coffee and bottled water. to coat hooks and all the extra little bits. I stay away a lot with work and this is the best accomodation I've stayed in for years. highly recommended.
Nothing, absolutely everything was thought about

A perfect place for a stopover. It is not far from the motorway and there is a pub opposite. The place was spotless, the bed super comfy and the shower was great. Although there is no breakfast as such, there are snacks provided and plenty of tea, coffee, milk and water in the fridge. There is even a microwave. Wayne appeared to check we were OK and to make sure we had everything we needed. We shall definitely come again.

We have just returned from staying in The Tack Room, this place is amazing, we loved it so much we are returning next year and hopefully many more years to come. I received a very informative and useful text from Wayne, prior to arrival, excellent customer service. The room was lovely, 3 windows, a comfy bed, a useful microwave and fridge, soft bath towels, my list could go on and on, everything you might require during your stay, had been thought of. My husband loved the cakes and chocolate bars!! The accommodation is set in a gated, peaceful area , with an excellent pub literally across the road. There is a lovely garden and also seats outside your accommodation. We can't wait to come back.
