We absolutely loved everything about The Clock Tower! From easy communication prior to our arrival to the warm and friendly welcome we received when we finally arrived after a hellish journey from Scotland, we instantly had great first impressions before even setting foot inside the accommodation. Our impressions were upheld when David showed us to our room - everything about the property was welcoming - full of life and character - and our room was lovely, homely, and immediately comforting. We loved the big, comfortable bed, the wonderful big bath, and the views were gorgeous too. We couldn't believe our luck the next morning when we were treated to an amazing breakfast of yoghurt, muesli, and fruit, a cooked breakfast, and toast. The entire time was peaceful and quiet; our hosts David and Lizzie were hospitable, gracious, and kind - even offering us a lift to a nearby village to collect our car the morning after we'd been to a wedding. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in the area, The Clock Tower should be at the top of your list - we cannot recommend this enough: truthfully, we never wanted to leave.

Nothing!

One of the best places we’ve stayed. Picked for the convenience to our family’s wedding, but ended up being the unintentional relaxing escape of a weekend break we really needed! Beautiful home, with stunning views, David and Lizzie took care of absolutely everything and were so welcoming. We came with our 10 month old and also my husbands parents. Had a great nights sleep and the windows black out quite nicely. Luxury bathtub meant we could unwind once the baby went to sleep too. Breakfast was also phenomenal and my husbands intolerances were catered for

Absolutely lovely, accommodating hosts. Charming accommodation, lovely breakfast, sweet doggies, gorgeous location and views. I stayed the night before and morning of my wedding and it was such a beautiful, quiet, tranquil place to get ready and prepare. Thankyou so much for the lovely, calm environment and being so accommodating ❤️

Nothing, my stay exceeded my expectations.

This is a very rural B&B at the end of a country lane, and has great views. The bedroom was on the top floor of this older very spacious property, and there were lots of stairs. The proprietors were very helpful in taking my luggage up to the room. The room was very spacious and good, with lovely views. It was a clean and very comfortable room. There is a lovely deep bathtub. Breakfast was very good, and you are asked what you might like, and if necessary the food is brought in for you. Timings for breakfast are very flexible, and made convenient for the guest. For evening meals, there are various pubs within a 10 minute drive, which served very satisfactory food. The only drawback being, that you could not enjoy much wine with your meal, as you need your car. There is free wi-fi provided, but mobile signals can be dodgy. I had an excellent stay overall, and would thoroughly recommend this B&B.

As I stayed three nights, and was in between moving properties, I would have found it helpful to have a desk height unit and chair for doing some necessary computer work, but the typical holiday maker would not find this necessary! The bathtub was good and deep, but there are no handles or grab handles to help you out! As an older guy, I would have found such handles useful and it would have made things safer. Occasionally the hot water runs out. As I visited in between seasons (mid-September), there were quite a few rather dopey flies, wasps and other insects around in the room, which were a bit of a nuisance.

The host and hostess, David and Lizzie, were absolutely charming and couldn’t have done more to make our stay perfect. The view from our room was stunning and the decor of the whole house is fabulous, being fun and eclectic with incredible taste. The location is perfect for walks and peace and quiet but with many restaurants and pubs and historic houses to visit. Just perfect.

Large luxury suite with comfortable settee and everything you could need. Mega-large extremely comfortable bed. Excellent full-english breakfast with many additional choices. The building was full of extremely interesting paintings, photographs and articacts too numerous to mention. The proprietors were very friendly, interesting and accommodating.

Nothing, really.

We had the top room with lovely views out over the countryside. Quirky property, full of interesting curios and artworks. Comfy bed. Tasty breakfast that set us up for the day.

Enjoyed the bath. Some might prefer a proper shower. Some might like a more minimalistic decor. But it felt homely.

The location was very quiet surrounded by beautiful countryside with stunning views from our bedroom. The bedroom was large and well equipped including a fridge and microwave. The large bed was comfortable. The extra touch of biscuits and fresh milk was appreciated. We really enjoyed the landing in front of our room with the huge clock, the antiques and the photo gallery down the staircase was very interesting. The bathroom was well equipped with lots of extra touches and the bath was very luxurious. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly and it was like home from home. The breakfast was excellent. We would definitely recommend to friends and family and would love to be able to visit in the future.
