It was close to a wedding we were attending.Our room had lovely views over the golf club.The room was clean and tidy and had plenty of tea and coffee. It also had a decent hairdryer! The bed was very comfy too! The breakfast was good with enough choice to suit us both.Overall a good stay and we would come back again if we were in the area.

Our room (203) was fine but needed a few little updates…the bathroom tap was very loose and so was one side of the shower tap. Also the seal on the shower screen leaked and left water all over the floor after use

Views were stunning , not a house in sight. Quiet. Hotel clean modern, staff all friendly. Especially Lucy on reception and her lovely blond colleague, always ready with a chat and banter. Golf fantastic, challenging course, narrow fairways and well kept greens. Bar meals great, recommend the chicken bbq pizza. Ten pin bowling was a laugh and made a nice change to have in a hotel. Plenty of choice at breakfast with Views overlooking course.

We were in room 132, no view only of bins out the back. First morning a delivery turned up at 5.15am banging cages . Ceiling had wallpaper hanging where it looks like a leak from room above. Whilst playing golf the greens men were mowing around greens and very reluctant to move out the way. 3 men on one hole made it difficult to avoid them. Swimming is not included in your stay, like the ten pin bowling you have to pay £20 for 2 hours. Also it is card only no cash on site.

My first impression was the friendliness of the staff on reception and we were greeted with a warm welcome. We visited the spa and again the staff were friendly and very helpful. (hotel guests pay a small fee for the use). The spa was peaceful and not overcrowded and 2hrs is just enough time to unwind. The hotel room was very clean and spacious , took ages to figure out the TV, so maybe some instructions for future guests may help. The bar was OK and prices were as expected for a hotel. Was not disappointed with breakfast, there was a huge selection leaving us very full! The restaurant was very spacious. Again, the staff were friendly and professional.

Our room was 3 flights of stairs. Could not find the lift, so unsure if there was one or not. The hotel is a little tired in some places with peeling tiles, wall paper and on the spa locker room walls, but easily fixable and would not put us off returning.

We had a lovely two day stay for a Wedding near by. Arrived Friday, Spa was lovely, clean and quiet. Dinner was lovely with a great view. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice in the morning, room was clean comfortable and most of all quiet. I have to say I travel alot around the country staying in hotels, but the staff at this hotel were really friendly and helpful.

lack of hot water, more luke warm which was a let down.

Views were amazing, lovely lady on reception was very helpful when I called before the stay. Lovely waitress, very attentive at dinner. Food was huge and delicious. Rooms were very accommodating.

The room was very hot, it was a warm day however the air con didn’t appear to be coming out cold. We made do though. The room we were in was a little dated with the decor. A shame because I can see lots of the rooms have been updated. Only a minor thing though and our room was very clean.

The views of the golf course were beautiful! Staff were friendly, breakfast in the morning was really good.

We were staying for a wedding, I called the hotel in advance and asked about a fee for an early check in which they said they didn’t do but would make a note to prioritise. I arrived 20 minutes before check in at 3 and when I mentioned we were a bit early but was hoping to check in to rung our bags up before the wedding the woman on the desk did not even check to see if it was ready on the system but just said no. Luckily another lovely woman was there who quickly checked and let us know it was ready and gave us our keys.

Food and facilitates made for an excellent stay without the need to leave the premises. Staff were also friendly and helpful. We appreciate the efforts taken to also make our anniversary special despite the hassle I have reception staff a little.

I do feel the price of the room and breakfast was quite steep especially considering it was one night- a £30.00 dinner allowance or something to that effect should have been included; especially because the main hotel website actually offers better deals which I struggled to book hence going via booking.com.

We stayed at Hellidon as we were playing a Roller Derby match in Daventry. The 4 bed room was great, and the view of the lake was stunning! The staff were very friendly, particularly Vicki, at breakfast in the restaurant. Vicki made sure we had everything we needed and chatted to us about our plans and wished us luck in the game. She also chatted about the deer family on the grounds. She should be given a raise, as she made our stay even better. The staff in the evening made sure we could go bowling, despite it being a bit later than we'd booked, we really appreciated that and really enjoyed it. The bowling alley was really cool! There was a member of staff in the restaurant in the evening, a young man, who took the time to split the bill up individually for us to pay separately, thank you!

It was a bit cold in the restaurant so I sat with my coat on for most of the time.

Room - very comfy, refurbished recently to nice standard, clean, kettle in the room, TV and wifi, powerful shower, quiet; Restaurant - really nice with great view, I only had set menu (occasional) but food was very tasty, breakfast was really good with variety of choice for everyone. Good coffee too. Bar - decent choice of drinks and bar snacks Staff - absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful Grounds - really nice golf course, lovely views (I don't play though myself)

The bowling area is a bit disconnected and lacking atmosphere but still good fun. Bring a lot of mates to make up for it! It is rather remote so love it or hate it depends on your taste. 1st Pub is quite a long walk away

on arrival we were told that we had to pay an extra £20 per person per 2 hours per use to use the spa facilities. we picked this hotel because of the spa facilities and have never been asked to pay before whilst a resident, this changed the whole feeling of our stay, so we will not be returning
