Beautiful looking property set in lovely grounds

The bathroom was very dated and the hot water didn’t get hot

comfortable bed, with differing degrees of firmness of pillows. additional blankets and a throw spacious room, hard wood floors are much nicer than carpets. the swimming pool was nice way to spend a few hours the following morning

was initially placed in room 61. too noisy (could hear everything happening in the bar) and the TV didn’t work. a quick trip back to reception and a change of room to a quieter room. attention to detail cleaning would further improve- ceiling air vents would benefit from a vacuum. I think using Spa is a little deceptive- having a swimming pool with a sauna and steam room doesn’t constitute a Spa - perhaps being a little clearer with describing the facilities would be better

Staff were nice. The room was comfortable and decent size. The gym was much better than expected, which was great for me. Didn't use the spa, so I can't comment on that. Grounds were lovely.

On our second night, there was a drunk couple arguing with a third woman. It was insanely loud and disgustingly ignorant. Surprised, none of the staff came to deal with it. Although the reception staff did advise that they are open 24/7 so I probably could have called them to report it. Bathroom in the room was a little dated but everything in there worked perfectly so not a massive deal.

The hotel is In gorgeous grounds and the executive room was a brilliant size with loads of space to move around. The bed was comfy and the shower was a great size too with a separate bath. Having a pool on site was great too.

The bathroom needs some TLC. The facilities in there are great but the sealant in the shower has obviously been over done and is really messy and gone black and mouldy. Also for a large hotel like this you would expect black out curtains but unfortunately the sun woke me up round the curtains.

Good location for us. The bar snacks available late afternoon were excellent. We were out at a function for dinner. We didn't ask the question but our guess is that this hotel has changed hands recently and is in the process of being restored / redecorated. There weren't many guest as far as we could tell, and not many staff, enough to handle the number of guests. The staff also seemed relatively inexperienced. I think things will improve dramatically over the coming months.

The decor in some of the public areas wasn't what we were expecting. The dinning room is functional rather than appealing.

On my arrival I was greeted by a very helpful and friendly member of staff who provided me with all the information necessary to begin my stay, it was a great way to start my trip. The leisure facilities were extremely clean, well set out and the staff within were all very welcoming. Both meals I had were well cooked and delicious, the staff within the restaurant, like the rest of the hotel, were brilliant from the moment I stepped into it. Overall its a hotel I'd happily stay at again be it alone or with family and will be sure to recommend to close friends or family.

I can't honestly find fault, the location is great, the staff brilliant and the hotel itself exactly what I was looking for.

Room was spacious and comfortable. We were able to book in early and most of the staff were very friendly. Parking was easy.

Housekeeping knocking on door and entering room at 10 am on day of our departure and again promptly at 11 am just as we were leaving felt a little intimidated, bar shutting at 11pm even for guests seems a little early. Also the steam room in spa not working was a disappointment.

Comfortable bed. Spacious room. Lots of electric sockets. The leisure centre was the plus point, nice pool steam and sauna room included in the price.

The hallway carpet needs hoovering, deep cleaning or replacing. The walls are painted a modern colour with old fashioned pictures up. It needs to be one or the other. When we flushed our toilet it takes ages for the noise to stop and I could hear this was the same for the other rooms.
