This is a beautiful and historic Inn located close to the major routes to the city but still maintaining its country village charm. Convenienty located near to the Lunt Roman Fort and the Air Museum (both walking distance). Plenty of parking, good and sensibly priced food and drink and very friendly staff. One thing deserves a special mention. My wife is partially disabled and we were given the accessible room on the ground floor. I have never seen a hotel room so well equiped for less able guests. I would highly recommend it for anyone traveling with elderly or disabled relatives or companions.

The location of the The Oak is a quiet rural setting yet it is still close to the M6 and Coventry centre. Our room was a great size and very well priced. We had a nice comfy bed and the shower was good. Breakfast was included in the price too. Staff were polite and made a fuss of our 5 month old pup. They were very dog friendly. We would definatley stay again if going to the area.

The wifi was hit and miss but we were only there overnight so we didn't raise it. There is a good menu but the food was adequate. However, we loved the jackfruit wings as a starter for our evening meal. TV was a little small for the size of the room but overall don't be put off. It's great vale for what you get and the positives are the important things here.

Set in a small village with gorgeous old church nearby and lovely old properties - there's a MASSIVE oak tree about 20yards away🌳( hence the name of the hotel I guess!). Easy to get to using satnav plus other quaint villages nearby worth visiting (Bubbenhall and Stoneleigh) , ALSO the Midland Aviation museum which we visited ✈️ Staff were friendly and attentive, food good.

Our room had a metal electric radiator in which, while effective, made constant pinging noises throughout the night (expansion and cooling of the metal while the radiator maintained room temperature)... It disturbed our first night's sleep but we wised up and turned it off the second night and had blissful silence. WIFI was only available in the main body of the bar/restaurant and spasmodic there too at times

Easy to find. Convenient location for what we needed.

Unfortunately, we were on the ground floor where many dog owners were located and everytime the dogs left or returned to the rooms the noise of their claws on the laminate floor carried loudly through to other rooms. Their barking also carried throughout the ground floor. We had booked an evening meal but sadly on the weekend that we stayed the restaurant closed due to staff shortages. We checked in at 4:30 p. m and were not informed of this, so when we arrived at the bar at 6 p. m for a pre meal drink the bar staff then told us the kitchen was closed. We then had to travel a mile down the road to eat.

Had a really good overnight stay at the OAK. Used it as a night stop between The Midlands Air Festival in Alcester and a rugby match at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. The staff and the food and drink were outstanding. The were a great help.

I know this is a dog friendly hotel but was woken early in the morning with owners taking their pets out for their early morning walks. Was a bit upset that some people had no respect for other guests not leaving the building quietly to do this and letting doors bang. Apart from that i had no issues

Lovely friendly people, good choice of breakfast. Great location for what I was doing - clean room just the TV didn't work but wasn't that bothered. Evening meal enough choice and well done. Wanted a light breakfast so thought scrambled eggs would be just right couldn't eat it all but was lovely. Bonus for the future its Dog Friendly

No hot water but not the pub fault and the lady was so apologetic, not a problem as I managed. TV not working but again I was to worried about that

Very friendly and helpful staff Excellent breakfast (and the dinner we had in the restaurant was also excellent) Comfortable bed Very large car park Outside seating with covered booths Very central location but quiet

Had to ask for extra pillows but these were willingly provided Could do with a bit of TLC on things like the loose tap and the window that couldn't be put onto tilt only (it always tried to swing open as well)

It all went very smoothly. Reception and check-in were excellent. The room was quiet, clean and cosy. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and tidy and the shower was easy to use. Breakfast was delicious, but was not included in the price of the room. The bar had a good selection of beers, including 4 hand-pumped real ales. The staff were welcoming and helpful and made the stay most enjoyable. If I need accommodation in this area again, I would be delighted to stay here.

There was a sign for the fire exit in the bedroom, and the green light stayed on all night, which was a bit annoying as it made getting to sleep a bit difficult. That may be part of local fire regulations, but I haven't encountered this before.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and what appeared freshly decorated (as were all the communal spaces). The beds were really comfy also. The biscuits were a nice touch. Breakfast was really enjoyable and a nice selection to choose from. All the staff that we encountered appeared friendly. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Nothing really, however if I was being picky I would say not having plugs close by to the mirrors is always a pain ( when need to use straightners or the hairdryer). Likewise, there were no plugs by the beds (but this was a problem for my son and not me).

Good location for Stoneleigh Park Parking Check in Friendly staff Great for dogs The room in the accommodation could do with cosmetic work but on the on whole it was ideal for our needs. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good The kitchen was closed on the Friday night, but we had dinner on Saturday night. A little pricey but it was good quality food

There really isn’t anything not to like. It is ideal for those who love dogs.
