4th or 5th time here as we usually stay here when visiting my son. Staff are always helpful. Was a bit of confusion with sorting the rooms out as we had my mum with us and we wanted rooms on same floor which they did manage to sort. Hotel was busy when we arrived as there was a coach party there also. Beds comfortable, room was clean and quiet (166) and nice walk in showerand I like that novotel have a separate room for the toilet. Evening meal was ok, there was 5 of us and some had better meals than others but the new menu is ok.Breakfast was better than on previous visits.nice to sit in garden and by the bar at end of evening.

Fridge was missing from room and net curtain was half off the track.

I was looking for somewhere comfortable, no frills needed and near the motorway, to break a long drive north to see relatives. This place was perfect, less than 5 mins off the motorway, helpful staff, good parking and a clean, comfortable room. No fuss when I arrived quite late at night. It is also accessible northbound and southbound. The place I’ve used previously, and which I like a lot, is only accessible southbound, and although it’s only a 20 min diversion, doubling back from northbound to southbound, covering the same piece of road twice, is the last thing I want when it’s late and I just want to get my head down. The staff, in particular, impressed me. They were friendly and helpful without the ‘plastic corporate charm(lessness)’ that staff in so many large chains seem to be obliged to adopt. No doubt their employers think it’s a good idea, but I dislike robotic politeness intensely. It comes across as insincere, and also tends to mean that staff don’t really listen to you, but are working from a script from which they don’t deviate. Parking was easy, included in the price of the room and next to the hotel, rather than being part of a larger car park open to everyone on the complex, visitors, people from other hotels and so on. I like this a lot. I’ll use this place again on my next journey.

Nothing important. Perhaps a fridge in the room, or access to an ice machine (which there might have been, I didn’t look), but that’s very much a nice to have.

I liked the size of the room, with the split bath/shower area and toilet. There were a lot of good things going for the room at first glance - it had a decent sized modern tv, an AV control panel with HDMI, Ethernet and AV ports as well as plenty of light and windows that open. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and you're able to have some banter with them too - including the evening manager who was an absolute gem to talk to. You can tell that the staff care about what they're doing and won't cut corners in doing it. I am not sharing any photos of the room, as all I have photos where it's been messy after two nights of use. I am including some of the food we had in the restaurant though.

There were a few issues where the wall near the TV looked dirty and dusty behind the tv itself - suggesting that they hadn't been cleaned in a while. The AV control panel didn't work, and some of the fixtures in the bathroom (such as the hand-rail in the shower and the toilet roll holder in the toilet room) were coming away from the wall. With regards to the food, I was a little surprised at the Haddock looking like something I would get out of a Captain Birdseye freezer box, I was expecting something freshly battered and larger, other than that I enjoyed the food.

All the staff in general did their best with what they are givin and are helpful and friendly. The cleaning staff also work hard and the place feels nice to sit in(especially the big garden area at the back)

The manager who is on nightshift is often rude or ignores you standing at an empty bar,or has something to say about almost anything you ask which is extra to him and since it's him and only him that is available at bar and reception it can be frilustrating dealing with him if he decides to make your request for a twinnings peppermint tea bag a big deal! Sometimes you will be told only card payments then if he is doing cash outs it changes to only cash so again the guy is probably out his depth but other than crappy managers the place is actually decent and the have loads of great reception staff.

Liked the price and that pets were welcomed. Separate toilet and shower was a bonus

Only 2 cups were in the room for 4. Walls in the toilet were pretty dirty. Hotel messed up with the room, therefore had to make the second bed for a child whilst we were waiting. Breakfast options were poor, not enough for hot breakfast, not even eggs on display, so felt £13.99 were wasted. No labels for allergens, so it was difficult to cater for allergy kids-very disappointed as I am not the fan to approach the staff asking what ingredients are in what meals. Didn't like the fact that £20 per dog per night wasn't clearly displayed at the beginning of the booking, but luckily I wasn't charged for the dogs. Had a terrible back pain after the night spent on the mattress, but that's minor issue

I recently stayed at the Novotel Coventry during a work trip, and I have to say, I'm blown away! From the moment I arrived, the staff were so friendly and welcoming—it really made all the difference after a long day. The room was absolutely spotless, and it felt so fresh and inviting. It was such a relief to come back to a space that was clean, cozy, and comfortable.   Now, the real surprise for me was breakfast. As a vegan, I usually struggle to find options at hotel buffets, but not here! There was such a great variety of fresh fruit, plant-based milk, and even some hot options I could enjoy. It was such a nice change to actually leave breakfast feeling full and happy.   Novotel Coventry nailed it when it comes to service, cleanliness, and catering for different needs. I'll definitely be booking here again for my next work trip. Highly recommend! 🌱✨

Loved everything!

The hotel itself was fine. We didn't make use of the breakfast facilities. But did enjoy a quiet drink in the bar. The staff were lovely. The hotel is in walking distance of the arena.

When first arriving at first glance the room was ok clean and well presented however it was missing the mini fridge and the kettle was in a strange spot with no plug so we had to move it to the other side of the room. I was happy to ignore this until trying to have a shower to get ready. The shower was barely a trickle I was unable to wash my hair. I did make a complaint to the front desk and whilst I was out we were moved rooms.

Clean and very comfortable, modern rooms with instant hot water, fridge and large bed. Arrived at late hour and was instantly given room key by present staff member so I could go straight to bed. Was able to extend my checkout time by several hours on request as I needed additional sleep, found the hotel/room was a nice place to be and would stay again. Noticed a gym on site too, which was soundproofed from the rooms/hallways which were very quiet. Helpful/polite staff. Nice temperature (can be controlled) and blackout curtains. Good parking.

This may not be the fault of the hotel or staff, but one of my possessions fell out of my backpack on my way from the front door to my room in the building, and was not around when I woke up the next morning and went to look for it. It may yet turn up, could have been moved by a member of the public/another guest, but the staff member at reception was very helpful in the morning and told me to call in 2 days time to see if it had been found - she also said that it would be possible for the hotel to post it back to me, which I would rate as very good service. The item is not valuable enough to warrant theft.

Location was good, facilities were fine for the purposes of my stay.

When I entered my room I immediately heard the sound of a barking dog, which was coming from the room below me. This continued constantly for several minutes, so I went to reception to request a different room. While I was at reception another guest (who was in the room next to the barking dog) also complained. The receptionist (Mussa) was very helpful and aftering trying to locate the owner of the dog (unsuccessfully) he arranged a different room for me so a happy ending for me!
