.The reception staff were very professional and excellent in resolving any issues. When I found the room to be very hot, they promptly provided me with two fans, which was greatly appreciated.

My first room had a blocked drain in the bathroom, and upon informing the staff, I was quickly moved to another room. However, on my second night, I was woken up at 4:30 AM by an unusual noise that continued for the next four hours. I called reception, and the gentleman on duty could not locate the source of the noise, describing it as sounding like a tractor. I reported this to reception upon my departure and am still awaiting contact from the manager. Additionally, I found the food to be expensive for the portion sizes, so I chose not to dine at the restaurant the following day.

It's an attractive building in easy reach of M6. All the staff were really nice & helpful. The Twine restaurant served 1st class food & breakfast was very good. The room was very spacious & bright with a large bed with a lovely double aspect view.

The bedroom was very "tired" & had drafty windows which are in need of repair as at March 2025. The only a disappointment to our exceptional meal in the Twine restaurant was due a very long delay for our dessert & our waiter tried really hard to sort it out for us but it appeared a private function caused the delay.

The place was easy to find, easy to park and everyone was very friendly. The room was very spacious with beautiful furniture and plenty of space for pram, baby stuff, and personal items, movement and the stay overall. The kettle was exceptionally clean (this is very rare, hence I'm highlighting this) We had food at the bar as the restaurant's hours didn't work for us. Still, it was lush food and beautifully served. We apprciated the lift facilities too. The happy chickens walking around were a sweet addition to the experience.

Unfortunately, the glass shower door did not hold the water and the shower head had a slight leak so the water after showering was all over the bathroom floor. The baby cot had a very low bottom so when lying the baby down; it was hard to bend over to reach the bottom. Or when picking the baby up was hard to reach down for them and lift up.

Looks lovely since being done up

Breakfast was terrible.. the food when it arrived was tasty but very small portions. But the service was dire.. we didn’t receive any drinks or toast/pastry basket until after we had eaten despite asking 4 times.. 3 different people and our order for these were taken at the time we sat.. we also spoke to someone from the hotel prior to staying and we were promised a big table for breakfast as we had 13 in our party, there was no knowledge of this request as we arrived for breakfast. This was such a shame as reception and bar staff on the previous evening were very helpful and attentive.

The staff at Ansty Hall were really attentive and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The phone call prior to our arrival to see if we would like to book a table for dinner or any other requests was appreciated and took an item off my to do list before going away. We arrived late due to a long day of travelling with delays but they kept the kitchen open for us and served us quickly. The breakfast was also one of the best we'd had in a long while with three courses that included homemade fig rolls, a ginger shot/smoothie and quality ingredients prepared well. We were stuffed but it set us up for the day and we left happy! The towel elephant and hand written note in our room was a nice touch.

Our room was a little outdated. The bathroom was functional and probably very good quality 10 years ago but could do with a refresh. The room itself was okay and had everything we needed but again could do with some updating on the decor and the heating/cooling system which consisted of a radiator and a remote controlled heating/cooling fan in the corner of the room which helped with comfort. The bed was comfortable but new pillows would have made it better as they were a little lumpy and tired. Overall we'd stay again at the hotel and it gets a 9 from us as food and drink quality and staff more than made up for the room and overall it was good value for money compared with other hotels I've stayed at for a similar price.

Beautiful property and grounds. The main hall and grounds are stunning with quirky elements in the public areas,

Our room overlooked building work and was quite musty. No information pack, no bar even though we were informed that our credit card details were being held for the use of the mini bar? Had to request enough clean towels for day two. On arrival, I ordered a speciality tea whilst waiting for the room to be ready which was expensive and undrinkable! Ordered cake with the drink and after 20mins of the staff member trying to locate it on the till, was told it wasn’t available. Drink arrived a further 15mins after and the response was that he had to help somewhere else! No-one around to discuss the awful tea so left it without a conversation.

Perfectly positioned 5 minutes off the M6 near Coventry - ideal for our journey from SW Scotland to the Shuttle to France. Under new ownership (no longer Macdonald's) with enthsiastic and cheerful new staff. Ample parking. Recently refurbished, large, comfortable rooms with usual facilities. Food excellent, service unrushed, good wine list in delightful dining room. Outside terrace for pre-dinner drinks overlooking well tended lawns with ancient trees. Lawn games available (croquet, chess etc..

We were accommodated in a newly refurbished annex which entailed a walk outside to the dining room. OK in summer but not so good when it's raining. Ask for room in the main house but there is no lift (listed building). Plumbing a bit unsteady in our shower!

Bottles of water in the room. Decent toiletries. Cosy. Homely. Spacious. Grounds. Kettle. Milk. Towels. Clean.

Shower pressure poor and variable temperature. Lack of fridge. No dressing gown. Expensive for what it is. Bed way too soft and soggy. Never ever receive the email invoice. System seems to be broken. Bottles of water both had seals broken so I wouldn't use them. WiFi signal poor. Needs better, faster reception they never answer the internal phones. Lack of aircon.

The hotel is undergoing major refurbishment and there were issues with the hot water supply in our initial room. Management were extremely quick to come and personally check out the problem. When it couldn’t be remedied we were immediately offered a free room upgrade which was an excellent solution and very much appreciated. We are annual visitors to Ansty Hall and feel that the new refurbishments will improve an already lovely location once they are completed. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, lovely to see some familiar faces.

Loud construction work started before 8am on the Sunday morning. Thankfully we are early risers so this didn’t impact us much. Disappointed to find that the Sunday evening menu no longer has the fabulous roast beef sirloin which was our go to on previous visits.

The staff, particularly Lucy, Betty and Meg! The rooms. Deluxe, just stunning!

Ansty Hall s undergoing a period of transition which is working in many ways but there are problems which have yet to be ironed out. There seems to be a lack of definition/ direction. It is extremely hard to cater to corporate, leisure and wedding guests in the same space. The food offerings are all over the place at present, not really being the go to for any of the groups I have mentioned. I am confident that given time everything will gel.
