The rooms were comfortable and clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very helpful and excellent service. We needed more towels and they were delivered to the room within 5 minutes. We left some post behind and Geo very kindly sent them to me at no cost to me. Would definitely stay here again and can’t wait to see what it will be like when they have finished all the renovating.

The only down side was there was no mirror on the dressing table so you had to use the large mirror on the wall on the other side of the room

The room was clean and roomy bit on the old fashioned way bed was comfy...was asked a couple of times if there was anything I needed...

No hair dryer..not good or enough pillows.. boring TV as it was just the basic TV... I know the place is being done up and that takes time so hopefully these things will be put into place...Also I think there should have been some sort of breakfast even if it was continental although there's café s near by...

Outwardly the place looks a little run down, but I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and helpful staff and a really nice, clean, modern room with a nice bathroom. The place seems to be in the process of a lot of refurbishments but I found that it met (and exceeded) my expectations for a budget hotel room. Would not hesitate to return again…Thank you.

Good-size room, and bed comfortable. Quiet. Bathroom modern and clean and plumbing worked very well. Plenty of parking. Staff efficient and polite. Coffee and tea-making facilities were good and the staff replenished these neatly and efficiently during the day.

The first impression would be greatly improved if the very worn-out mat at the main entrance to Reception was replaced. It would be good to have food available, especially breakfast. Our plastic room keys worked unreliably after a day or so. Lighting was rather minimal for reading. Both of the bedside lamps had faulty switches or contacts.

the helpfulness of the staff, they gave us a ground floor room as we requested. good value for money.

I got a stiff neck because of only having 1 pillow. Next time, I will ask for another. Whilst generally clean, there were a few dusty ledges.

The personal service from the person that greeted us at arrival was excellent. Very friendly and professional and also gave us lots of advice and local knowledge.

The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are a perfect size. The only thing that lets the place down is that it needs some TLC, and there are many services not available, like the restaurant (at the time of writing) If this was seen to, it would be the perfect place to stay. Having said that, we will return for sure.

The owner had just taken over the Hotel, to be honest in places it need a bit of TLC but they are refurbishing it. It will look fabulous when it’s finished. It was perfect for what we needed. Unfortunately, we had a very sick member of the family in hospital. However, the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them. My sister and I would totally recommend this hotel. We will definitely stay here again.

The gent on reception was fantastic. The hotel is great value for money, nice sizeable room with modern bathroom. Fantastic location, nice little town down the road.

The odd bits here and there that could do with extra cleaning, like the radiators. Bed was immaculate though. Didn't ask about the closed facilities. I heard there was a bar, restaurant and swimming pool at some point. Shame they aren't available. But either way, room alone it was good value.

Room was very spacious and location was great. Also a short ride into town centre which was also very convenient. Kennedy and staff were fab and made us feel very welcome and also recommended Kayal (Indian restaurant) which was the best Indian food ive tasted.

Not much fault at really as we were there for just one night but overall very happy with stay.

Room smelt of smoke. Could write your name in dust on top of tv unit. Only one pillow each no spare. Only one bath and one hand towel between 2 people. Phoned contact number and texted about items no reply. Reception never mentioned eve meal or about bar. No sign telling you either.
