We were a group of 13 old friends getting together from different parts of the country for a reunion and Flore was a convenient location, easily accessed by roads and trains from north and south. We occupied the whole property which we had to ourselves. The facilities were spot on for our requirements. We were able to prepare food and all eat together in the same dining room as well as socialise in the old house living space. However it is easy to see how the Old Vicarage could work for smaller parties or those just wanting bed and breakfast. Our hosts were so helpful, friendly, sensitive to our needs and accommodating. Thank you, Patricia and Gerry. All of us said what a great find the Old Vicarage was.

I had a party at Flore House and it was next door just a minute away. The bed was super comfortable and could have slept for longer but had to leave. Didn’t have breakfast there as don’t eat breakfast but the kitchen facilities were good. There was only 1 cereal bowl which was ok as I was on my own so it didn’t matter. The shower was over the bath and if you have mobility issues may find it a little difficult to step over into the bath- the heated towel rail was lovely- just like home. The village was a 10 min walk away, the shop keeper was very friendly and the cafe/store named RE was lovely for a cup of tea complete with tea cosy! lovely for a short teabreak stop and the hot weather made it even more lovely. I would highly recommend it. .

Nothing- would defo stay again.

We arrived at 12.30am and we’d booked last minute, so I can’t comment on location, but it was very quiet. The room was clean. There was a basket of towels with toiletries and a large shower. The bed was very comfy. We left at 7am the next morning, so it was a quick turnaround. The owner was very helpful giving us directions as we travelled and met us as we arrived, we really appreciated the quick introduction to the property and then we could just go to bed

I can’t say that this is a complaint, but I think it would be really useful to have a mirror somewhere in the bedroom. The only mirror was in the bathroom, which wasn’t suitable for drying hair, or a quick check of how you look before leaving for the day. Perhaps a TV? If we’d been out and about for the day, I think we would probably have sat with a cup of tea and watched TV for awhile.

Three of us stayed in the Double Room with Garden View (double bedroom plus a sofa bed in adjoining room). The accommodation was in a lovely annex to the main building and was spacious and spotless. It's in a fantastic setting in the village of Flore and we enjoyed the 25 minute walk to the Narrowboat pub on the Grand Union canal before eating in the White Hart in the village. Breakfast was excellent in the morning.

The temperature control on the shower was a little temperamental (which we forgot to mention on checking out) but that was the only minor issue we had.

The property was in a good location for our trip to Silverstone. There were also multiple places to purchase food before and after, so we didn’t have to spend as much on food at Silverstone. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Very nice scenery too.

The only thing for me would be the fact that the curtains weren’t black out curtains. I like my room to be pitch black when I sleep, but the curtains didn’t block out all the light, so it took me a little longer to sleep. However it wasn’t really an issue, just a preference for me.

The main building is beautiful as you come down the driveway and the setting is stunning. Our room was set around the back through a courtyard which was nice as it felt secure behind the gate

Sadly we were told the room next to us wouldn’t be occupied but at 4:15am we were woken up to somebody going in and out of the door and being noisy. We were then woken again at 7/7:30am to the dog barking and then somebody boiling the kettle in the kitchen between the rooms and making tea - loudly!!! I do think the shared kitchen should be removed and have separate tea making facilities in the rooms to aide privacy and reduce noise - personal preference. Other than this the stay was pleasant - thank you very much

Excellent accomodation. Clean and comfortable. Our room was in a small block in the courtyard, entered through a Kitchen area shared with the other room. Everything you need to cook and make drinks if required. Plenty of parking, secure as at the end of a long drive. Hosts were very friendly and helpfull. A very nice Breakfast is available as an extra if required.

Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay.

Unfortunately due to my early starts to get to Silverstone Circuit I didn't get a chance to try the breakfast, but going on the quality of accommodation and after meeting the hosts I'm sure it would be something I would try if I was staying there again. The room was spacious, very comfortable and well furnished. It was very handy for Silverstone Circuit and there was great Indian Restaurant in the village highstreet.

Nothing, everything was great, especially the kitchen facility next door to my room. This meant I could stock up with food from Tesco Express up the road that saved having to pay the high prices for food/drink at the circuit.

What an amazing stay! We we're greeted straight away and felt welcome as soon as we arrived. A beautiful building and location. Was so quiet and peaceful outside. The rooms were well presented and the bed was super comfy. Really genuine and friendly owners, willing to help with anything. They even rang the local village pub to book a table for us which had great food and was within walking distance. Myself and friends were staying for an event @ Silverstone and this was ideal! Safe location for our precious cars too which eradicated that bit of stress. Definetly hope to visit again :) we loved it, thank you!

Our stay was too short!
