Lovely breakfast, freshly prepared fruit, figs and raspberries from the garden, proper tea in a tea pot (!) , tasty bacon roll freshly made each morning, along with cereals and toast. Breakfast outside each morning. The property isn't attached or connected to the the Plough, but sits in its own litte country cottage space behind . Charlie is very affable, and a very good advocate for village life in Everdon. Quaint surroundings and a good area for long country walks. The property is obviously her pride and joy. Thank you Charlie and Ida ( the pup) for a lovely relaxing stay.

Great location, great host, excellent local walks and a very nice village. Dinner at the pub ‘The Plough’ a couple of doors away was excellent. We were with friends, we had both rooms which were both very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. Would we stay again? no question. Would we recommend it? Yes, and we are very fussy when it comes to staying away. Parking for two cars which worked very well for us. The weather was good when we were there, which meant we had our breakfast served to us at the table outside, which was really very nice. The host Charlie (a very nice lady) was very attentive and could not do enough for us, making sure we had a great time, which we did. As a side note, there are only two rooms, one room, which is a twin room, allows dogs and the other one which has a double bed, does not. They are both cottage style rooms with the doors directly outside, which works very well.

We absolutely loved staying at Charlie’s B and B. It is homely and characterful. The courtyard garden is the perfect place to have breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit from Charlie’s allotment. The beds are comfortable and it’s in a very quiet location so we had a really good nights sleep. Charlie is a great host and I would recommend this B and B to other travellers.

Charlie greeted us with a very warm welcome and explained the layout of our accommodation and its amenities. She took our order for breakfast and when it’s was delivered the following morning it was exceptional. We would definitely recommend this accommodation . The owner was warm and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and warm. The breakfast was excellent and served in your accommodation. Menu choices for your breakfast cover everything you need.

The location was fab! Breakfast was amazing, with homegrown fruit and warm pastries! Charlie (Host) made us feel really welcome and safe😊 we took our dog, and we were shown walking locations and recommended dog friendly places to have dinner! Honestly, I couldn't rate this any higher 😊

There is parking but only a very small issue was the parking was tight and getting out was a little difficult. We have a small car, so it wasn't too bad, but having a bigger car would have been a bigger struggle 😊

This little cottage was everything we could want or need for our three night stay in the area. The host went FAR above and beyond in helping us with everything that came up - big and small. The bed was comfortable, room was cozy, bathroom clean and the area is beautiful. The breakfasts are amazing! You order the night before and the host comes and plates it for you in the most gorgeous fashion! You feel like you are at a 5 star hotel. I would stay here again and again if I could.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at The Rear of the Plough and I have to say I could not fault it, absolutely fabulous, and if I could give a higher score I would. The host, Charlie, was amazing, so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was first class. It did not feel like a B&B as you had your own private room and en-suite and breakfast was served to you there, such a lovely touch. The food was delicious and such a variety to choose from. Well done Charlie you're doing an amazing job!

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

The accommodation was everything that we needed for our short stay. A very friendly host, nice clean room, and comfortable bed. The continental style breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and served in our room. The host was able to allow us to check out later than usual at no extra cost, but at some inconvenience to herself. We will look to return one day and explore the area further. Absolutely recommend this property.

Additional signage to the property, or at least a note in the confirmation to explain that it is down the lane to the right of the pub. A very minor inconvenience.

This is a great place to stay. The host was friendly and made sure I was properly settled in giving plenty of advice about places to eat. A very minor observation is that cooked breakfasts are not on the menu.

Provision of a cooked breakfast would round off the experience.

This is the most charming place to stay. I was over the moon with the cottage which was comfy, clean and just perfect for our stay. The host was utterly exceptional and went above and beyond the call of duty to facilitate a warm welcoming and successful stay. The breakfast was lovely. Everything was five star!
