Size of the room and bathroom were good. Food in the restaurant was excellent, as were the staff. The pub is at the start of a small village. There is nothing in the village, but we enjoyed a walk through it, as it is very picturesque.

Unfortunately we were a little disappointed with the breakfast. It was continental but felt it lacked a bit. 1 small box of cereal each, one of which was cocopops, which to me is a child's cereal. Then 1 muffin and 1 pain au chocolat between us. Few pieces of fruit. Didn't enjoy eating it in our room either. It may be that we are spoilt by cooked breakfasts in a dining room when we stay away usually. This is the first time we have had breakfast like this.

Parking Nice cool spacious room Bathroom and shower were modern and good. Breakfast was good and easy Fridge silent Good food available if you can get there in time Location, whilst a bit further out for us, it was near Daventry and that was handy for us getting supplies. Whilst a little expected road noise in the morning with the windows open, it was quiet overnight and I slept well and comfortably. Value for this specific time of year was very good. The property had high ratings so whilst it didn't exceed the rating, it met the rating.

Would be nice if you could pre order cold food like a cheese platter that could be put in the fridge if arriving later. I might have liked a cooked breakfast for the price and location, but the in room offering was good and convenient too. Some paint work in the stairs and upper hallway are noticeably worn, giving a slightly shabby first impression. Time for a re paint. But the room itself was good and spacious.

Everything. Staff particularly friendly and helpful, food served promptly and was excellent (despite our late arrival and everyone was extremely busy because of D day celebration.

Absolutely not applicable.

We stayed for one night at this lovely village pub. The room was on the corner of the property and we had gorgeous views across the countryside. The room was comfy and welcoming. We stayed on a Sunday night and were initially a bit disappointed to find the restaurant closed early on Sunday. However this was not a problem as we had been notified in advance and the helpful staff member recommended an equally lovely pub where we could eat just a few mile down the road. The breakfast is a continental breakfast provided in the room.

I liked every thing.

Traveled all the way from Devon to visit Daventry the next day to go to Meguiars. On arrival the look of the outside of the B&B was very inviting. Parking was on site, safe, secure and also had CCTV cameras (I own a modified car and wanted to make sure it was safe whilst staying here). The location was beyond stunning and was right in the country side which made me feel right at home. In the evening it was very quiet and peaceful which was much needed after a 3hr 35 min drive. The room was incredible!!! Mixed with modern and still partly cottage showing off its wooden beams in the bedroom. Shower facilities (ensuite) was incredible and very nicely done giving you the modern feel. Their breakfast hamper was perfect and had loads of food and snacks inside the box which was perfect. Also the fridge stocked up with cold drinks was a very nice touch. For the whole experience I would 100% stay again!! I recommend this B&B for any car enthusiasts that are visiting Meguiars or Silverstone knowing that your car is 100% secure, the location is stunning, the rooms were perfect and was great value for money. The whole place was an all round little gem!

Nothing!

Lovely pub with rooms. Nice room, large bathroom, bed far too soft but that’s my personal preference

Room don’t get looked at on the first morning, second morning bins got emptied and we were asked if we wanted clean towels but teas/coffee not replenished nor beds made or tidied. On the 3rd morning we were asked if we wanted juice for breakfast, previously the breakfast, although nice, was sort of thrown at us. On the 3rd morning different staff and the girl waiting on was so lovely and helpful!

The pub/B&B is in a lovely location with adequate parking. The room was a decent size with adequate storage space, a desk and chair, and decent wi-fi enabling me to get on with work. The bed was comfortable and the shower was fantastic. The evening meal I had in the pub was delicious and the atmosphere relaxing. Breakfast is already catered for in the bedroom, with a fridge containing milk, fruit, butter and a yoghurt and a separate box container with cereal, a croissant, preserves, bowl, plate and cutlery. Plenty of tea and coffee plus biscuits were nearby too. In short, a relaxing stay in a lovely location.

The fridge slightly hums occasionally as it, well, refrigerates which was briefly slightly annoying until I got used to it.

The property was perfect for our walking holiday. Connected to the Red Lion without being in the Red Lion was ideal, especially considering we had a large dog with us The facilities were good, not that we used too many of them because we chose to eat in the Red Lion for both evening meal and breakfast which was excellent.

The one thing which would have improved our stay was having a larger bed. I know the room states it has a double bed and it did, but we're much more used to having a larger bed. Maybe 2 single beds would allow more flexibility and would provide a larger bed if zipped together.

We had problems with the internet and getting a signal for directions to a wedding, area very poor for signal. Food was very good evening, but this did not match up for breakfast! I don’t know what I want to eat for breakfast the night before!!! The breakfast needs to be laid out in a corner and allow people to help them selves- fruit, nuts cereals and filter coffee, not coffee out of a machine- very poor. The cooked breakfast was itself was good- but need to decide at breakfast what I want, not the evening before.

Lovely pub and lovely staff. Food was good and continental breakfast box in room was very well stocked as was the fridge. Nice decor and a very comfortable nights sleep

Only two things really and very easy to fix. Could do with small drop leaf table in the room to sit at with breakfast in room, maybe Tv dinner table etc. although my evening meal was very good it would of scored superb if the chunky chips were hand prepared instead of frozen (it is the small things that make a great difference)
