We arrived early, so the room wasn't ready, but the lovely receptionist put our bags in our room for us while we went off. Instructions for our return were clear. There was a nice atmosphere and really impressive and clean bar/restaurant area. Breakfast looked amazing and all cooked to order with coffee available to help yourself to, and a selection of juices. In the room there was a quiet but effective fan, the room was comfortable, and the shower was good. There was also bottled water in the room, and tea/coffee making facilities and some biscuits. Just all very nice!

quiet pub within easy access of the motorway. Friendly welcome. Room had large bed, tea and coffee facilities and dressing table. ironing board and iron also in room. Shower was excellent with good power to it. The pub is not manned in the evening but access through side door using room key is well lit and easy to use. plenty of onsite parking. Breakfast was freshly cooked and of good quality.

Whilst there was no lift there is an offer of help with luggage if required. whilst the room has bed dressing table chair the space getting around the room is limited, but this depends on which room allocated as companion had larger room.

This place is a hidden gem and I would strongly recommend anyone visiting Northampton to stay here! Where do I start, the building is full of character, the ambiance as you walk in the place is special, the staff ultra friendly, polite and helpful. The bar and restaurant are very well presented and in keeping with the whole building. We were staying for one night so booked a twin room and the room was fabulous, quiet and provided everything we needed. The food through lunch dinner and breakfast was superb and full of taste and quality and very good value. If you want an almost hideaway retreat then this is the place, surrounded by nice residential properties but once inside then you are transformed to another place!

The property was clean and furnished to a high standard. The rooms were a good size with beautiful bedding.

We liked everything about the accommodation, however our stay was spoiled by the fact on our return from watching the T20 quarter final match we found the bar closed. We deliberately returned for a drink as we were told that it would be open until 11pm. The bar staff told us on our return that they were closing early. As customers we were slightly surprised at their attitude. We were served a drink but had to take it to our room- no communal area for us to socialise in. If we had known this we would have stayed in the city and got a later taxi back.

We stayed here whilst attending a wedding in the area so we didn’t experience much other than a nights sleep and breakfast. The hotel is very clean and the staff were very helpful. Beds comfy, our room was at the very top of the hotel and was a little warm due to the recent good weather but a fan was available in the room which was a nice touch! (Really good fan too!) Breakfast was really nice, again staff helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking in the area.

We loved the way we were greeted it was a very warm and engaging welcome. The breakfast was very good. The check out for 11am allows for a more relaxed start to the day. We left very relaxed and when we visit England again we will book more time so we could enjoy the dining experience.

Unfortunately it was a warm night. We had the window open so at 7:30 the extractor for the kitchen started up. Not a big deal but it is a very old building and we were in a room in the middle (11) it was only a little noisy. With the window closed, no problem.

Jacky was very accommodating, and we enjoyed some banter between us. The staff we met were friendly and very hard working.

The place was understaffed, our room should have been advertised as a single room. No lifts, narrow staircases handrails only on one side. We needed assistance to carry cases upstairs and staff were doing this in adverse conditions. Not sure the hotel would meet O H and Safety regulations under these current conditions.

Always enjoy staying with you - I use the Hopping Hare to meet up with family that live in Northampton. We had dinner and breakfast - both were great. The high-quality fan in the room was greatly appreciated in the hot weather (I was so impressed I bought one!).

Nothing much - a small bar of soap in the bathroom would have been great - also there was no plug socket easily accessible on my side of the bed in our room (room 3).

It felt comfortable & welcoming. Strange location in the middle of a housing estate but didn’t detract from the friendly welcome. Great gin & tonic’s too. Plus, a very comfortable nights sleep- great mattress.

A long walk to the room and up a steep flight of stairs. Fortunately, can cope with this but no mention when booking. Would have been very difficult with people suffering disabilities.

The Rooms here are excellent, spotlessly clean with good facilities A limited menu on Sunday but good value for money and the quality was mostly excellent. Very good breakfast which was freshly cooked and not the run of the mill buffet.

The only negative was the rissoto my wife ordered for dinner which was overcooked, dense and served in a portion that would have fed all four of us.
