We loved the size of the room. The bed was huge and exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the shower powerful. The food was very good. There was a great choice for breakfast. The added bonus was having a fan in the room, which helped us keep cool! There was plenty of parking in their large carpark. I would recommend it to others. This was ideal for an overnight stay!

It was a shame that we could not open the doors to the juliet balcony (it was on a short latch), as we looked out onto the river, and it would have enhanced our view. When we sat outside in the pub garden near the river, the tables were not cleaned, and there were a lot of glasses not collected. This may be due to staff shortages, which was a shame.

All staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The location for short break was superb. Service was excellent and we had a very enjoyable stay.

The room decor was a little tired but still clean and serviceable. Although breakfasts were very good we seemed to confuse staff when we requested less than a full English. It would be sensible to have a system where individual items such as just bacon, egg and toast can be selected easily, rather than having to decide what items were not required. Room 12 affected by noise from heating system next door!

The room was spacious and clean, although I do feel parts were tired. The bed base was looking a bit worse for wear and the paintwork could do with refreshing in the room and other parts of the hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I had reserved tables in the restaurant for eighteen people. We were given a dedicated space spread over four tables which was fine. Although it was Friday evening and busy the kitchen and serving staff managed to deal with our meals in a timely and efficient manner. The food was good too.

I don’t believe anything could have been any better. Everything was done efficiently and with a smile. I had a problem with a missing receipt which the manager sorted out for me. Great service.

It was our second visit. The hotel is in a good location and the few staff we saw were helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean with all that we needed for an overnight stay. No hesitation in recommending it to others. We had dinner in the restaurant , it was delicious and in spite of it being very busy was served up very efficiently.

Our main criticism was the slowness of the internet. We did have one problem though. When we woke in the morning we both had severe diarrhoea which we can only put down to the meal the previous evening. We both had the “ smothered chicken “ main course and soft drink, nothing else. As stated it was delicious and we remarked on the generous amount of food on our plates. We can only think that maybe there was something wrong with the chicken. Did you have any other patrons complaining? We would be glad to hear your feedback

The Old Mill is in a beautiful setting in a converted former water mill. The rooms are comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent - help yourself continental buffet plus cooked breakfast served at the table. The restaurant and bar area are very nice. The beer was in good condition (GK Abbot Ale). We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food apart from breakfast.

There was some remedial building work being done to the outside of the hotel. It did not affect our stay but affected the external appearance of the hotel

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The housekeeping staff was excellent, as was the reception staff who responded to a medical emergency in the early hours of the morning swiftly, efficiently and with great compassion. The restaurant and bar food was excellent, of good quality and reasonably priced. Breakfast - especially the smoked salmon and scrambled egg was extremely good - with no shortage of smoked salmon. The lunch/ dinner menu was extensive with interesting seasonal dishes available. Alcoholic drinks seemed a little expensive but there were "specials" available at lower prices. When faced with the need to extend our stay by 2 days the reception staff were able and willing to switch room bookings in order to enable us to continue our stay in the same room.

The magnetic card key failed to operate on a number of occasions - necessitating a trip to reception each time to reinstate the data on the key card which, although not serious, was an inconvenience. Nothing else was an issue during our week+ stay.

We were a large party of family members meeting for our second reunion at this hotel. The veggie breakfast was ample amount, I would have like the option of sourdough toast and oat milk. Lunch we did a large order and the staff copied with this amazingly. Dinners were fantastic I had seabass and then Hake and both meals were perfect.

Personally I would have liked the option to have a large leafy salad, the salads that we pre ordered were quite small, so our lunch was very carb loaded. I would have liked a shower cap in my bathroom.

Location of the Old Mill gives easy access to the A46 & M69 as well as the Ciry of Coventry. Reception staff member Helen was welcoming & very helpful, thank you. Breakfast cooked to order, very good. Dinner can be taken in the restaurant or bar but best to book ahead for the restaurant especially at weekends as the Old Mill is a popular venue. Nice atmosphere on a wintry evening. Food excellent from a very varied menu and waiting staff were really pleasant & friendly.

Lighting in the bedroom could be better but once I’d requested a desk lamp it was quickly sourced and helped.

I had booked tables for 18 people. for an evening meal. We were ataying at the hotel as we were all attending a show at the NAEC Stoneleigh the following day. We were allocated a room at the rear of the building where we had 5 tables. This was perfect. The kitchen coped very well and the staff were all great as was the food.

I thought the room we stayed in was looking a little tired. The bed was clean and comfortable but the bed base was scuffed and marked. It could have benefited from a lick of paint as could other areas of the hotel.

Check in Staff were friendly and helpful, room a good size and shower was great. The Chef's special for dinner was delicious, Amy the waitress was so nice and friendly and the location right by the river is a huge bonus. Very relaxing outdoor areas Easy to access from main roads (A45/A46) without getting into Coventry traffic.

Small things - Room view was the car park with lots of cobwebs on the windows outside. It was a hot night so I would have preferred to have an option of a sheet and not just a duvet.
