Everything. The host was so nice and accommodating. It was my first time in a B&B style place and it was exactly what I imagined and more. We got offered an upgrade for a small extra cost, which made the experience even nicer. The breakfast was very customisable and was basically 3 courses - fruit yoghurt and/or cereal, and an English style breakfast, with juice of choice and tea or coffee. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, the TV was working and we had a side sea view from a big triple window which made the room very bright. It is only a 15-20 minute walk from the central part, but it is very quiet which makes it perfect for a place where you actually want to sleep. The host gave us some tips on the local attractions and let us check out late (I was very tired after a party), which was very kind and the kind of human approach we really appreciate. He also allowed a late check- in as our train was coming in late. Great place for a good price, highly recommend :)

The breakfast was 8-9 which is a little early. This is not unique to this place at all but in general I don't like little plastic shower gels and shampoos. There was a little solid bar too, which was great, but I hope that soon places will transition to plastic- free alternatives (like hair&body minis from friendly soap company). Really not much to not like, really nice place with a really nice host :).

The proprietors are very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We had everything we needed in our room. Initially we had booked a double room with shared bathroom but we were upgraded to room 9, which was an en suite. The bed was very comfortable & the bedding was really nice. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice & freshly cooked. To achieve this level of service, guests are required to complete a form with an indication of their choice of breakfast on the evening before. It was well worth it!

We didn't dislike anything but would have liked breakfast to go up to 9.30 rather than 9am.

The minute I got there I was welcomed in with a smile. I arrived really late and was still in my work stuff which Ivan five my a bag so I could put my stuff in to keep my bag clean. Breakfast was really lovely well done to the chef. I will b3 definitely staying there again really soon. Thank you guys for what you did for me and making my weekend fantastic.

We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, Ivan the host was very approachable and kind. The bedroom was cosy and clean and we had a great night sleep both nights. The view when you walked out of the hotel was refreshing what we wanted. Breakfast was tasty we didn’t quite get the cooks name but he was also very polite and attentive. Thank you for a wonderful stay guys!

Shower pressure in the Chatsworth room could be improved but everything else was great value for money.

I felt so welcome from the get go at The Derby Hotel. Ivan was so welcoming and friendly. My room was clean and had all the facilities I needed. I slept so well in a comfy bed and a perfect ensuite with a power shower. Breakfast was excellent every morning and very delicious and had a lot of choices from cereals to full English. Will definitely be visiting again next year.

If you are not a very big walker it is a fair walk to central pier where most of the attractions are however I enjoy walking so this was not a problem for me and was quite a pleasant walk.

We have just come home from a 2 night stay at the Derby Hotel. Given the warmest of welcomes by Ivan who showed us to our family room & helped with our luggage. The room was a perfect size for me & my 7 year old daughter with 3 beds & a lovely view of the sea. Was a little worried about all the lights the massive hotel directly opposite but the black out curtains did the job perfectly! There was utter silence at night which was ideal. Lovely selection of breakfast, especially for us as we don't usually like cooked breakfast so the choice of cereals & fruit was a nice alternative & the service by both Ivan & Tim was lovely. We were able to store our luggage on the day we checked out & was even given some sweets for the journey home. Such wonderful & warm hospitality...something that is so important. The hotel was a further up the north shore than other hotels but was walkable & a really nice walk or right by a tram stop too if needed. We would certainly considering stayimg here again if we did visit Blackpool in the future.

The room itself, despite the wonderful view & size was lacking little bits that did not make it perfect but still exceptional value for money.

Very warm and friendly welcome from Ivan and Tim . Ivan has a jovial personality which is required in the hospitality business with s great sense of humour . Breakfast was superb with 3 different sizes offered which is unusual in any hotel etc. Breakfast cooked to perfection and certainly the best we have had when travelling etc.. Lovely products including amazing hash browns made by the local butcher The hotel is exceptionally clean well decorated and care and attention have been given in creating such a homely atmosphere. Communal lounge and dining room were lovely. Lovely white bed linen and towels and toiletries provided We had a room with a nice sea view . Quiet location yet within easy walking distance into main attractions great for couples and familes with the added bonus of free on street parking. First stay at this lovely hotel and we will be returning. Thank yoi Ivan and Tim for our lovely stay.

On arrival, Ivan greeted us. He explained the rooms/breakfast/facilities/nearby locations and others bits of interest. The breakfast was very impressive with the choice of multiple types of breakfast and the ability to add items if you wanted. The room was a good size for the two of us with a good amount of storage for our stay of 3 nights. Clean rooms with very fresh and clean bedding. When we departed, we were seen off by two staff members, adding to the already personal experience.

The only thing I did not like, was the bed being quite squeaky. I sort of got used to it after the first night though.

4 of us stayed here september weekend made to feel so welcome from arrival to departure nothing was too much trouble for Ivan and Tim. Lovely premises nice and clean, beds very comfy and a great breakfast would definitely come back here when visiting Blackpool This hotel is facing the beach and local for transport Thanks again for a great stay

Nothing to dislike

Everything about this place was spot on from entering to leaving. Ivan couldn't be any more helpful. The breakfast was absolutely beautiful and so much variety. My daughter (1) and nephew (2) must have thought they were on a luxury holiday the amount of different breakfast they ate. The sea view was beautiful to wake up to, made you want to get up n ready ASAP. Beds were super comfy and even put in a travel cot for my nephew, which was all set up on arrival. Parking was a weight lifted too as I could just park up and only think about our holiday. Although it was a little walk to the north pier and further I would definitely stay again. A day tram pass was £6pp so if unable to walk far that comes in handy. 5 stars from me, my mam, my daughter and my nephew ❤️ Thank you so much for being the best 😊
