My first stay at The President. A lovely cheerful welcome from Nathan on reception. A true asset to the hotel. Great sense of humour, character and charm. My single room was perfectly adequate for my requirements. Very warm and cozy on arrival. All the amenities are single traveller could need. Clean bathroom with shower. Comfortable single bed. TV on wall facing bottom of bed, single wardrobe, unit next to it with two drawers. Plus bedside cabinet with 2 further drawers. Food absolutely excellent, cooked by great chef Phil. Ian was amazing meet, greet and seat. Truly professional, friendly and willing to help in any way he can

Friendly staff from the moment we arrived, not too busy location and not too far from everything we needed. Entertainment was provided which made it a nice atmosphere in the evening with a singer with a lovely voice, bar was cheap compared to the local pubs/bars. Great to have lift access to the rooms as we had a pram and toddler so made things easier getting to our room. Good view of the ocean from the front of the hotel.

There was a strange smell when we entered the room but I think it must of been the drains being an old building, and the room was clean so we left the window open for a while and the smell mostly cleared and didn’t effect our stay.

The Staff are amazing each have their own talents from Manager Martin goes above and beyond, Reception Nathan and Michael completed jobs out of their job role with no trouble cleaning up after a dirty family soild the down stairs toilet. Phil and Ian well what can I say lads your food is off the scales brilliant excellent friendly service as always. Colin on the bar nothing was too much trouble. I come nearly every month the reason why is it's a great place. Keep up the good work.

The hotels taking in some clientel that are going to stop people like myself re attending let Blackpool council put them else where. My other moan was no entertainment if you had this on you would of made money but trying to save money only having it on friday and Saturday most coming that weekend are mostly young and they go out into blackpool. I meet other residents and we stayed Monday to Friday for us we went to bees knees bar kariok and cheap drinks each night. When I have come previously the entertaining guy needs replacing to someone more up to the current music . A part from that little rant it's a nice place.

Breakfast was excellent and there where families in the hotel but you didn't hear then which makes a very nice change from kids who scream and play up for there parents Room furniture was a bit dated but all in all the room and bathroom was clean n tidy

. Could do with a few more staff members on duty the lad who was on reception was running backwards and forwards from reception to bar and back again and having to sort problems out for the guests. The big problem I found was the minimum card payment was £10 for someone like myself who travels alone the minimum needs to be lower

From booking online to checking out, I had a flawless personal experience. Before checking in, I spoke to Reception Manager Nathan on 3 different occasions to ask him to link all my bookings together, and please keep me in 1 room for my whole 12 night stay. He accommodated every request and gave me a warm welcome on arrival. I found him charming and willing to help in any way that he possibly could Now to all the other staff that made my stay perfect as a solo traveller. Martin (does so many different things) is a joy to be around. Thank you Martin. Restaurant Manager Ian found me a perfect female companion to join me at a table for 2. Thank you, Ian. Chef Phil is an amazing chef who cooks to perfection. Fabulous breakfast and 3 course evening meal. More than ample portion sizes. Waiter Michael is super efficient and polite. Special mention to Housekeepers Katey and Paige. Changed my bed EVERY 4 days and knocked on my room door EVERY morning to see if I required anything. They are a credit to The President. Collin on bar is professional and really pleasant. Thank you Collin. Sian was a cheerful young lady on New Years Eve. She and all the bar staff worked extremely hard. There was a fabulous buffet laid out on New Years Eve. Even a chocolate fountain with lots of sweets etc. My room was warm, clean, comfortable and perfectly adequate for me. I will definitely be a returning guest.

Nothing to dislike

Our room had the most comfortable bed I've been in. Reasonable sized room for the price. Excellent food for all types of meals, food cooked so good by the chef. They're parking outside the hotel if there's spaces, £10 for the night. Location is good, it's walkable distance to the Tower area. Entertainment area is good too. Lift to all floors.

Our room needed some tlc, curtains part hanging down, small kettle. No plug sockets at the sides of the bed. I asked for a extension, none came. They're little niggles, the good far outweigh the small problems.

The location on the sea front, 2 minute walk from the grand hotel, Blackpool tower in view lights were still on Room was basic but ideal for my needs staff were pleasant in all job roles ,the bed was comfy Good supply of tea coffee sugar but no milk satchets

There was no heating but was supplied with a mobile heater I didn't like the automatic sensor lights in hallway as I was stopping on my own at hotel but it's cost effective so it's understandable The kettle I had to put on the floor as the plug socket was low so that could be higher for safety, mugs need replacing they were tatty but I always bring my own mug anyway A small fridge would be good as it didn't supply milk or satchets It needs to notify guests that the main entrance doors will be closed at midnight

The guy on reception was okay. The lady that handed me my keys was kind enough. Definitely the guy who was on evening meal and again was very cheery and very kind. Some lovely food options available for evening meal. Unfortunately couldn't eat one of my greens but the rest I scoffed down. The apple crumble was lovely, and I was even offered another bowl! By then I was pleasantly full, so I declined the offer. Breakfast was lovely with a full English breakfast available with cereals, bread and jam and butter for the toasting machine and apple and tropical/orange juice in jugs. The guy was on at breakfast and explained how everything worked. Sorry didn't catch his name but he was great.

Unfortunately couldn't check in at midday i had to pay for that before 10am I arrived at around 11am due to the storm so had to wait around for 4 hours. Luckily other guests arrived got chatting and the time kinda flew by. Also helped with comfy sofas. The room was very tiny. Not much of an outlook - a brick wall from the bedroom window and drainage pipes from the bathroom window. Room could do with a lick of paint here and there. Needed a toilet brush. No bingo or entertainment, but to be fair there was only a few in and besides I was too shattered anyways.

Pool table, the chef and Ian were amazing really nice people made us feel very comfortable food was amazing

Didn’t like the man at reception soon as we got there we parked up got told to move our car round corner as it was free of charge even tho I asked to pay the £7 a day to park told us it would be fine and went outside to a parking ticket of £100 and when I spoke to him he said it’s our fault he had nothing but attitude with us since we got there spoke to a few other people and they told us the same thing his name was Nathan
