Great hotel in Blackpool, lovely little bar, Billy is awesome and there's even free parking - which can't be sniffed at whilst staying for four nights in the 'Pool. Clean and tidy room, comfy bed, no noise at night. It's a bit of a walk down to the Tower, so be wary of that. I was there for a Northern weekender at the Tower and didn't check, it wouldn't put me off staying again though, especially when you're next to the biggest Wetherspoon in England. All in all, a great little stay. Oh, and if you do taxi it, an Uber is four quid from the hotel to the Tower/Town.

This hotel is exceptional value for money. The location of the property is excellent. The availability of parking, the hotel is spotless. My children throughly enjoyed the breakfast in all the years we have gone to Blackpool they’ve been picky at the breakfasts. However, most of all what made our stay wonderful was the owner’s Billy, Nia and can’t forget the real boss Poppy the cat. They couldn’t have been more helpful, they’d go out of their way to help us. So thank you very much for a great stay, we can’t wait to come back.

The hotel was brilliant. By far the best I've stayed in at Blackpool. Very clean, Quiet, Breakfast was fab. The hosts were polite and friendly and helpful. The shower was incredible 😁 Location was perfect for us as it is right next to the Pleasure Beach which we were visiting for an event on the Saturday night. Tram station directly opposite so handy to travel further a field if desired 😊 Also, Wetherspoons (The Velvet Coaster) around 200 metres away 🍻

I have absolutely no dislikes 😊 If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a slightly later check out time (maybe around 11.30am)

I got this at a great price. The room was really clean. Nice soft clean towels supplied. Loved the entry system with the key fobs. Breakfast was tasty and plenty of choice. Would certainly recommend this to people wanting to use the Pleasure Beach. They have a bar which I didn't actually use on this occasion but normally I would and there was a pool table in there too. There is plenty of secure parking round the corner for the car. The single room I was in was at the back so I didn't have any noise issues.

The only negative I can give would be the mattress was on the hard side for me. But this is more a personal preference. It certainly won't stop me booking that room again.

It’s lovely clean throughout Billy the owner can’t do enough nice chap it’s further away from all hustle and bustle of Blackpool centre but that doesn’t put us off cos close to tram stops and stroll across the beach, lots of things still to do nearby fish n chip shops and treat vendors, and family arcades and few gift shops, spar shop and cash machine, The breakfast at the Withell is excellent full English with plenty of tea n coffee juices, toast and jam, yogurts cereal selection and fresh fruit in lovely decorative breakfast area,

The breakfast was exceptional, a good choice of cereal, juice and yoghurt and also a choice for the main breakfast. The full English breakfast was excellent. The hotel was very well decorated and very clean. The location was on a nice quiet spot and also not too far from the prom.

I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like about the hotel. They were nice people and i couldn’t criticise in any way.

lovely little hotel. very friendly owners. always happy to help. I feel they would go out of their way to lend a hand if they could. lovely breakfast, very clean , comfortable and clean beds. we went with young kids they made the children feel welcome as well. couldn't fault it. would deffo go back again

we arrived in a van unfortunately this didn't fit in the car park. but this isn't a moan. its to be expected its a van not a car there was a safe car park 5 seconds away.

Really clean, nicely decorated throughout, great spot by the south pier. Really nice host who was very efficient, ran the bar (very reasonable) sorted breakfast which was so organised... Plus food was really nice. Our room (no.9) was perfect for a family and the kids loved their own little space. We had a lovely time!!!!

Parking was tight!! However we do appreciate having somewhere safe and secure and free to leave the car. Plus the host was really good at helping us in/out.

Staff very polite , room was clean got everything you need second time in coming first was just myself and my husband the second time was my husband and 2 kids the family room was fantastic the kids had their own space, they liked it that much they are wanting to stay again . Thank you for another fantastic stay . I would highly recommend the withnell .

Warm atmosphere as soon as we arrived, excellent location for the pleasure beach. Very good sized room for a family of 5, spotlessly clean with plenty of towels. Kids loved the pool table! Excellent breakfast each morning. Lovely hosts and fantastic value for money, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and, would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for somewhere to stay by the beach.

Nothing really. I didnt sleep too well as the mattress was slightly springy but that was more my preference of having a memory foam at home. Overall we could not fault our stay.
