The staff at the Beachcroft were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The hotel is well situated by the beach, with a spacious car park. Breakfasts were good - quality ingredients well prepared and presented, and decent portions. The room was a reasonable size, with a partial sea view. Bed was comfortable, and the shower hot.

The hotel feels like it needs a bit of modernisation, but is still comfortable and welcoming. The floorboards and bed were both rather creaky, and when one of the neighbouring rooms had a shower, the noise from that was very apparent within our room. The shower screen on the bath leaked so the floor was flooded afterwards, but this was clearly a known issue as an absorbent microfibre cloth was left in the bathroom to clear it up (which didn't take long).

Location was great, kids room was separate from ours so it gave you some privacy. Pool was to be booked for certain time and for half an hour only (unless noone after you so you can stay longer) but it was all only for you. Bathroom was very nice and clean.

The breakfast food was ok but it's only few options on the menu so was getting bored having same food every day, especially for kids. Asked for omelette but was done only once as an exception,made us feel like very restricted and just stick to the menu on card. Also I know it's obviously location prices but I think prices for restaurant and bar outside were too high. Luckily there was 5 minutes drive or you can walk 20 minutes by the beach and get to town centre where are small shops and fast foods.

Our stay at the hotel was wonderful! It's a beautifuly decked hotel with very homely decor, providing a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Our room was very cozy indeed. It was a welcome sight as we walked in. Very comfortable bed and lovely ensuite bathroom and we had a nice partial seaview. The restaurant is beautiful with elegant decor, and we enjoyed our meals. Staff were excellent! Very friendly and helpful, always checking you were okay, even after serving you. They went about their duties with speed and care. Lovely quiet location, 5 mins walk from the beach which wasn't packed - great for a lovely stroll along the promenade!

Nearer to the end of our stay, due to the heatwave, we needed a fan but there were no more available. As it's a small hotel, there wasn't a lift. It was 2 shortish flights of stairs, spaced well apart and with a couple of seats available on the way up! :) Would be helpful if a lift could be added?

Almost everything! Fabulous terrace room, ideal for me due to mobility issues. Loved my room, very spacious and spotlessly clean. Bed is really comfy. It was great being able to sit out on my terrace, enjoying a drink and delicious pizza available to purchase in the evening at the hotel.Breakfast was just superb.! Location is just wonderful overlooking the beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful as normal. Lovely to see Shannon again. Can't wait to come back!

I was very happy with my bathroom, the shower was perfectly adequate to have a wash, but felt that the water pressure wasn't great, chose to wash my hair when I returned home. Despite this, will definitely request same room again as absolutely loved it. Great car parking facilities too.

Lovely location right by the beach and boardwalk. Parking was okay, but busy, especially in the evening, and the entry road is quite narrow with parked cars. My room was large with an en-suite shower and toiletries, but the carpet in the main room was stained and didn't look very clean. Furniture is basic and the mattress was in need of replacing (lumpy). I did hear some noise from the room above mine, so better soundproofing would be useful. I was in a dog friendly room, with treats and a very worn dog bed, plus two bowls provided, which is a nice touch, but to charge £25 per night for a dog to stay seems excessive given there were no signs of deep cleaning having happened. This is a dog friendly hotel though, not just dog tolerant, and thought has been given to making dogs welcome. Breakfast was tasty and service was friendly but slow. There is a dog friendly eating area near the bar and away from the main restaurant, which is really nice to have. There is a pool which I didn't check out. There is also an outside seating and refreshment area, which looked good. Oh, and a free pool table (I think) near reception.

The outside terrace attached to my room had a sign on it saying not to be used after 10pm. Fair enough. A member of staff, however, was right outside my room making a lot of noise filling numerous watering cans and moving plant pots and furniture between 10:30 pm and gone 11. I was trying to sleep so in the end went outside and asked if she would please stop. She replied that she is watering the plants and carried on doing so, making a lot of noise. I found her behaviour and attitude unacceptable. I mentioned this when I checked out and was told that it isn't the first time a complaint has been made, time for management to sort this out I believe.

I loved the location and how close it was to the beach. I loved the swimming pool, it's a private session that you book and you get the pool all to yourself (or all the people in your room) for half an hour. It's a heated room with loungers and a changing cubicle. The Blakes Bar outside is brilliant, they serve drinks, cake and snacks and you can sit watching the sea and the waves. I would suggest booking a room with a terrace as I was very jealous of those people. Breakfast was delicious, and the evening meal I had too. Cannot fault the staff, they were friendly, helpful and happy! Room was clean, good size and nice amenities included. You get biscuits and hot chocolate! Honestly, could not fault it!

Breakfast service was a bit slow but it wasn't too bad.

Restaurant food is good, needs a little modernisation in my opinion. Keep sauces/ dressing separate on a couple of portions on production, I have intolerances, so no Marie Rose sauce on the cocktail would of been great. Specials are not that special. Restaurant team are all well briefed and rehearsed, and that's the issue, need to relax, too regimented. Very little flex in approach, a little off-putting, especially as a person on thier own. Pino was warm, chill all wines ! Nice and crisp...soooo important. Carling on draught, change asap !

I enjoyed my stay. The room was adequate, clean and sheets and towels were excellent. Generous amount of tea and coffee in the room and providing an iron and board is a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent in a nice seating area and staff were excellent and attentive. The indoor swimming pool was excellent. The hotel staff were excellent and the outside bar area overlooking the sea was good.

Had a sea bass evening meal in the restaurant which was disappointing as the sea bass tasted deep fried and lack seasoning plus being a solo traveller I don't appreciate being segregated in an inappropriate section of the restaurant eating area.

We had a great stay at Beachcroft Hotel for my birthday. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a sea view room. We had one breakfast there which was well cooked and delicious, especially the homemade hash browns! The beach bar was a very relaxing way to enjoy the evening sun. Free parking was a bonus.

We did not mind the dated feel of the place as it had character, but the stairs to upper floors were steep and narrow. My husband walks with a stick and found them quite difficult to climb and there is no lift. I would also prefer normal blackout curtains to the wooden Venetian blinds which are awkward to use and rattle at night if a window is open.

Booked stay and needed to add an extra night. Reception couldn't be more helpful. I needed a late check-in which they accommodated. Fabulous location and food was lovely. All staff were friendly, happy and really helpful. Beds comfortable and rooms cleaned daily. We used the swimming pool onsite and it was lovely. You book a slot so only people using it. Towels also provided.

Could have benefited from slip mat in bath. The bar closed at 10pm but this is for the benefit of its guests. Couldn't buy a glass of wine at inside bar as only sold bottles. Wasn't really an issue as was able to leave behind bar for next night.
