Fantastic location (3 minutes from the beach and the Pier), great lounge with a bar and pizza, fully equipped kitchen if you you want to prepare your meals yourself. Very friendly and helpful staff who's available 24//7. The rooms are basic, but very clean and spacious. Each bed has charging station and space to put your belongings.

The view from my room was beautiful. I love this hostel. I always come back. The staff is really helpful and friendly. I have a lot of questions (about buses, trips, mineral waters) but they always answered. The shower jelly in the bathroom was a surprise. I love the vending machines, too! I love the lift because my luggage was really heavy. The three ventilators were super because the room was hot (from the sunshine).

The hostel was not safe. Not cages under the bed. In the "luggage" room were only four (full) cages. So, I was not able to enjoy the beach because I didn't dare to leave my bankcards, passport, keys, phone, chargers, important books on the beach alone or in the hostel room alone. There were five other roommates. Two very drunk/stoned. I saw five cleaners and one foreign man in the room. He was old (65), white hair, glasses, dirty clothes and was not my roommate. I mean: we need cages. I had padlocks with me. The shower jelly was empty and the cleaner man forgot to bring us back the (clean) bathroom floor carpet.

location was amazing. we had a view of the pier from our room! the room was very clean and the hotel was very well equipped. the staff were absolutely amazing and so helpful with our little one. they always helped us to make bottles for him during the night and helped us to get organised before a day out. they was all very friendly and made a fuss of our baby, making us feel calm even when bubba wasn’t very happy. they provided us with a cot & came to our room to make sure it was in a good place for us or if we wanted them to rearrange things for us. the bar area was a great way to end the night. my partner and i sat and had a drink before bed and played a board game that was provided by the hotel. other families staying there were very friendly and everyone was up for a chat. despite a few minor things that we didn’t like, this hotel was overall great, would stay again.

the room was very hot, but this is to be expected with an old building. there was a fan in the room, but this didn’t do much and the air conditioning didn’t work. As it is an old building, there were lots of stairs and doors that couldn’t be avoided, so trying to get the buggy around was a challenge (definitely not an accessible hotel for those on their own with a buggy or disabled). Bed was reasonably comfortable, but could do with some better quality pillows.

Rigt, so I was a bit worried after reading the reviews how loud it is, however you are in Brighton centre you should expect some loudness even if you are not under the club you might end up having a student street party under your windows at 4AM. Anyways, we were somewhere top but from entrance side not the club side. I had ear plugs and all good, did overhear some conversation on benches in the front at 3AM but I had window widely open too. I was impressed with the size of the room! The bathroom was really good the staff were friendly - the location is exactly what we wanted so I am really pleased!

That there was no option to check in earlier but they were busy so fair enough.

Good location – the hostel is very close to the city centre and within walking distance to the beach, piers, and many cafes and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff, which made the stay more pleasant. The room was clean and tidy, with fresh linen and comfortable beds. There was plenty of space in the room, which is great for travellers with luggage. Another big plus – the National Express bus stop is right outside, which makes it really convenient for arrivals and departures.

there were several things that made the stay uncomfortable. The dorm room had no curtains or privacy around the beds, which felt awkward in a mixed room. There were no lockers or storage boxes available — I had my own padlock, but there was nothing to lock. In most hostels, there are at least some lockers or drawers, but here I had to carry my valuables with me. There was also no hairdryer, not even at reception, which was inconvenient in cold and windy weather. The bathroom facilities weren’t in good condition – water drained slowly in the sink and bathtub, and the toilet didn’t flush properly.

For the price i paid (bout 16 pounds a night) this went well over my expectations. the location was less than 20 minute walk from the train station and less than 5 minutes from the pier and beach, they had an elevator, the beds are so comfy best sleep ive had in a while, the facilities were great, the staff were friendly and it was very clean. I am definitely coming back here next time i come to brighton and encourage everyone who reads this to do so as well.

this is me just nit picking but with summer coming up it would be nice for the rooms to have a fan or something to cool off cos it was very hot in the room.

MY view. The staff on arrival, was very polite,friendly and professional.T he staff ,made check in simple and was flexible on ONLY one ID shown, Myself as I booked the room. No notification that My girlfriend needed ID also. NO fault to staff.Our room was all in order and on first floor as requested. ALL,clean comfortable. The check out was simple and our shower problem was discussed and handles polite and professionally. The night staff after 11pm were helpful as Two staff helped Us out via the Vending machine etc

Dislikes. Nothing to moan About. Future bookings on weekends can be noisy outside for Anyone from our room. Night club opposite lol if IN ROOM 106 LOL. Maybe other back rooms rooms etc etc BUT if your tired , your sleep through it lol

Very good location, national express to London stops right outside or bus to train station (station is 15min walk). Close to main street, beach, and small supermarkets. Staff were very friendly and warm. Most cheerful night staff I've ever met at a hostel. Only a few beds per dorm and a toilet per room which was nice. Good temperature inside dorm. Vending machine was handy.

Windows were rubbish and there was a lot of noise outside all night, earplugs needed. No lockers when I went but you could store valuables in their safe. Water from tap tasted disgusting but there were refill stations, only noticed after I had left though. If people have to make their own beds, you may want to make sure the mattresses are clean - suspicious white stain on mine - clean apart from that though.

The location is right near the beach, very convenient and the shower was strong and get warm very quickly. The double bed room has a lot of floor space to put your stuff. The guest kitchen was good, with facilities like fridge, stove, microwave and oven etc Great of value.

The charger above the bed is bit inconvenient to reach, and feels weird not to have a bedside table. The room I stay in is near a club, so at first night there was a lot of noise from 12am to 4am, but its better if you close the window

This hotel is great vslue for money, much morr than i expected. The staff are lovely & you get a warm welcome. The room was plenty good enough with all the facilities one would expect. The location ia incredible, probably the best thing of all. Especially as we were going to a gig at Chalk, which is literally behind the hotel!

Nothing to actively dislike. Perhaps there could habe been a seated area behind the bed, where the tv was, consequently we didn't really use the tv as you can't easily see the screen from bed....but not a big problem at all.
