Fantastic location (3 minutes from the beach and the Pier), great lounge with a bar and pizza, fully equipped kitchen if you you want to prepare your meals yourself. Very friendly and helpful staff who's available 24//7. The rooms are basic, but very clean and spacious. Each bed has charging station and space to put your belongings.

The location was central, easy to find, and close tp eateries and supermarkets. Bus stops were not far away, making it easy to go anywhere. Theh had daily cleaners, the place was well maintained and neat. For the going rate, the facilities were awesome.

I was relocated from my room to another without prior consideration based on the fact that someone had paid fpr a group of 4 and I was told to move to another room even though I had been staying there for 4days straight and had two more nights! We were also paired with men! We are adults, and I dont think it's descent to put men and women sleeping together in a room.if 4-8 beds to utlise the same bathroom! Dressing up and all was uncomfortable as the men had to wake up super early and we all dressed up in the bathroom! They should please put this into consideration before someone sues for rape! If we were couples, maybe but not total strangers. How do u expect the women to sleep knowing a guy is either on the bed below or on top. We sleep one eye open lol.

Staff went out of their way to make my wifes bday a special occasion, upgraded us to a Seaview room, put balloons and a happy Birthday poster on the bed and even offered a free glass of wine or beer for the bday girl staff were so very friendly, great to be able to clne down for coffee from the bar (beleive the machine was cheaper but apparently was having problems accepting coins). Friday night entertainment was amazing. Would absolutely stay again!! Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Would recommended they check the bathroom fan filters as ours was completed thick with dust which could be a fire hazard. Would also be handy to have bedside tables and maybe even a mini fridge to keep our water cold at night

This is a spacious, comfortable hostel in a great location. The showers and bathrooms were clean and well-functioning. A well-run establishment. Luggage storage provided, too. Great value for money.

The ambiance is a little like a college dorm where you can’t control who you end up rooming with. I ended up with a guy in the 6 person dorm who felt entitled to angrily wake everyone up 10 times that night to increasingly aggressively complain that the guy above him was “snoring.” (He was breathing.) The situation felt potentially unsafe, and there wasn’t much to be done. I notified the staff the next morning. It’s just a good reminder that when you stay in shared facilities, you take on the associated risks.

The view from my room was beautiful. I love this hostel. I always come back. The staff is really helpful and friendly. I have a lot of questions (about buses, trips, mineral waters) but they always answered. The shower jelly in the bathroom was a surprise. I love the vending machines, too! I love the lift because my luggage was really heavy. The three ventilators were super because the room was hot (from the sunshine).

The hostel was not safe. Not cages under the bed. In the "luggage" room were only four (full) cages. So, I was not able to enjoy the beach because I didn't dare to leave my bankcards, passport, keys, phone, chargers, important books on the beach alone or in the hostel room alone. There were five other roommates. Two very drunk/stoned. I saw five cleaners and one foreign man in the room. He was old (65), white hair, glasses, dirty clothes and was not my roommate. I mean: we need cages. I had padlocks with me. The shower jelly was empty and the cleaner man forgot to bring us back the (clean) bathroom floor carpet.

The staff was lovely. Only one employee looked at me ugly way but I am sure she hated another guest (not me). I had a cage under my bed. Yeah! Close to Sea Life Brighton Aquarium. Close to Pavilion. Super location.

When I went down for breakfast (because it was a very rainy day) it finished. The staff ate their breakfast at 10:05 but they didn't let me buy it while it was not possible to go out from the hostel and the kitchen was full of food. The bathroom: missed 1-2 things. For example the tissues. The lift had an IT problem: opened and closed the door forever but didn't go to another level from the second floor. It is not good if you have heavy luggages. One of my flatmates were a very selfish American woman. She wanted ventilation (fan) all night and made us cold and flu but she didn't care. The weather was not hot, at all. The other flat mate (under me) pressed his finger into my kidney. But he stopped when I told him: it is not nice for my body if he pushes his ceiling.

location was amazing. we had a view of the pier from our room! the room was very clean and the hotel was very well equipped. the staff were absolutely amazing and so helpful with our little one. they always helped us to make bottles for him during the night and helped us to get organised before a day out. they was all very friendly and made a fuss of our baby, making us feel calm even when bubba wasn’t very happy. they provided us with a cot & came to our room to make sure it was in a good place for us or if we wanted them to rearrange things for us. the bar area was a great way to end the night. my partner and i sat and had a drink before bed and played a board game that was provided by the hotel. other families staying there were very friendly and everyone was up for a chat. despite a few minor things that we didn’t like, this hotel was overall great, would stay again.

the room was very hot, but this is to be expected with an old building. there was a fan in the room, but this didn’t do much and the air conditioning didn’t work. As it is an old building, there were lots of stairs and doors that couldn’t be avoided, so trying to get the buggy around was a challenge (definitely not an accessible hotel for those on their own with a buggy or disabled). Bed was reasonably comfortable, but could do with some better quality pillows.

Rigt, so I was a bit worried after reading the reviews how loud it is, however you are in Brighton centre you should expect some loudness even if you are not under the club you might end up having a student street party under your windows at 4AM. Anyways, we were somewhere top but from entrance side not the club side. I had ear plugs and all good, did overhear some conversation on benches in the front at 3AM but I had window widely open too. I was impressed with the size of the room! The bathroom was really good the staff were friendly - the location is exactly what we wanted so I am really pleased!

That there was no option to check in earlier but they were busy so fair enough.

Good location – the hostel is very close to the city centre and within walking distance to the beach, piers, and many cafes and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff, which made the stay more pleasant. The room was clean and tidy, with fresh linen and comfortable beds. There was plenty of space in the room, which is great for travellers with luggage. Another big plus – the National Express bus stop is right outside, which makes it really convenient for arrivals and departures.

there were several things that made the stay uncomfortable. The dorm room had no curtains or privacy around the beds, which felt awkward in a mixed room. There were no lockers or storage boxes available — I had my own padlock, but there was nothing to lock. In most hostels, there are at least some lockers or drawers, but here I had to carry my valuables with me. There was also no hairdryer, not even at reception, which was inconvenient in cold and windy weather. The bathroom facilities weren’t in good condition – water drained slowly in the sink and bathtub, and the toilet didn’t flush properly.

Closed to the Coach Station. Just a stone throw from the beach and the pier. Very convenient for transport connection and sight-seeing. The reception was manned at all times. Security was excellent with contactless keys to all essential areas of the hostel. The room was big with ample space for luggage. The bathroom was big with a luxurious bath-tub. The kitchen was well equipped with induction cooker, oven, microwave, dishes and utensils.

The bathtub was difficult to use. A shower would be more useful and helps saving some water.
