Great place, close to the beach and local restaurants (got some dinner at a lovely greek place round the corner), my room was fab, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and lovely hot shower with nice toiletries, they even had hot chocolate with the tea/coffee…I travel weekly for work and the nice little touches made it feel cosy, check in is at the adjacent pub (that the hotel owner runs) and they were so friendly and welcoming (they had a jazz band on and the place was buzzing), I would definitely stay here again😊
Only one little thing stopped this place getting a 10 from me… I found the room to be a bit cold…winter is definitely on the way! Otherwise everything was lovely😊

The room was really nice with a view of the sea. Big and clean, with a nice en-suit bathroom and complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and so. An iron and a hairdryer were also provided and TV was present. Wifi worked OK. Very good position and great value for money.
There was basically no staff and whatever you needed you had to go and ask to the nearby pub, which is where you go and get the keys on the first day. Wifi password was wrong, so I had to ask to the pub for the right one. The windows weren't soundproofed so it could be noisy at night; I could sleep anyway but maybe not everyone could have. No lift and narrow stairs so no ideal if you have a big heavy bag.

We were welcomed by Victoria, who was very friendly and helpful and showed us to our room. The room was spacious, with a fridge and chairs and table. The location is great, especially for walking from the sea front or city centre. The twin beds were clean and comfortable.
The room on the ground floor was quite hot, as it was a warm and sunny day and we were not allowed to open the windows as it's a listed building (which is completely understandable). There was a fan although this was not working, which we reported.

Great location right just off St James's Street with its cafes and bars and just metres from the seafront but still surprisingly quiet, especially at night. Our room was split level - so in effect it was two rooms - and felt spacious, light and airy. Very clean.
Only small things but the wifi network for which we'd been given a password was not available. There are tea/coffee making facilities but the handbasin is tiny so you can only get water into the kettle (or your water bottle) by filling a mug and tipping it into the kettle.

Location was amazing; view of the pier from balcony! Allocated room had not been cleaned so I was upgraded to a huge room which was great; very helpful staff. Fridge in room is always a bonus too. Overall excellent value for money, would stay again. Note that you check in next door at the pub, but that was super easy and not a problem, just a point to note.
Not much, just that a number of bulbs needed changing so the lighting was a bit dim. Communal areas had a lot of DIY materials on stairs and walkways, but no noise heard from the work.

Great location a stone’s throw from the beach and loads of Kemptown bars and restaurants on the doorstep. I stayed in the jacuzzi room which was very comfortable and clean, with a good selection of free drinks and snacks.
Check-in was a bit confusing - you need to go to the St James pub to do it and the accomodation is two doors down. There was some building work going on and building materials on view in the corriror and from my window, which marred the appearance a bit.

Great location, extremely clean and nicely decorated. Perfect as its walkable to get coffee in the morning and most spots in Brighten!! We will be booking again for sure!
Nothing springs to mind, other that one of the headboards didn’t fit on one of the beds but this can addressed pretty easily with some bigger screws. Didn’t spoil the visit. Lastly a speedy WIFI would be great, 5G was not in the area but the wifi was not that better either. But we made do!

The room was spacious with a double bed and a nice view of shops on the street. I had my own private bathroom and the shower had good pressure and nice hot water. Zac and Victoria were great and are the owners of the pub on the corner as well which I'd recommend visiting for its fun and hospitable atmosphere! I will surely miss Biscuit, their adorable pup you will undoubtedly see at the pub! I was also able to leave my bag downstairs till the afternoon on check out day which was great and the bus station for the National Express was less than a 10 minute walk, very convenient! And it was also just a block from the ocean and the beach!
There really wasn't anything I didn't like. Everything was really nice and I had a great weekend! I'd definitely stay there again!

There was easy access to the hotel via a code for the front door and the room. The hallway was bright, welcoming and clean. The room was spotless especially the bathroom. Décor and furniture were pleasant. Clean towels were provided as was beverage making facilities, tea, coffee, chocolate and packs of biscuits. Plenty of hangers for clothes and even an iron.
My only quibbles were, the booking in process was a bit disorganised and took a long time, and the TV in my room did not work. I would stay in this hotel again and would not hesitate in recommending it to others

Everything you need is right there in the room. Clean, very spacious and presentable. Cosy and just perfect, I really loved it! Lady that checked me in was so sweet and welcoming it made me feel..good. Location is absolutely incredible, literally by the sea front. Can’t wait to be back here!
Nothing! I would say to include a shampoo holder in the shower and to offer skimmed milk instead of whole.
