We booked to stay here for a couple of days after I'd run the Brighton Marathon. We wanted something more luxurious than the air BNB we'd had the past 2 nights and a room with a bath (which isn't an easy find in Brighton!) The room was wonderful. Comfy bed and a chaise longue in the window on which we could enjoy the stunning sea view. The bathroom exceeded expectations and the bath was perfect. Friendly staff and perfect location. If we're ever back in Brighton, we know where we'll be staying!

Nothing, it was perfect

Our room was beyond any expectations we had. It was amazing, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was the very best we have ever been served. The location was within two minutes of the sea and a few more minutes to all the bars, fun places and Embers Restaurant is a definite 'MUST NOT MISS'! Overall, an exceptional and best time was had by us both. Will definitely return.....

The most incredible stay in the most perfect location. The Hemsley Suite was absolutely beautiful. James could not have been more helpful from start to finish including waking up in the middle of the night and letting us in when we had locked the key inside the room! Bottle of fizz on arrival and breakfast was amazing. Can’t wait to go back! Best place to stay in Brighton hands down!

Loved the location and the fact that you could see the sea from the window in our room. The room was lovely and so clean! Had two great night’s sleep in very comfy bed. Shower was large which was great for husband, as showers often too small. The room had tea facilities and offered fresh milk in the fridge, a big plus rather than long life pods. Coffee machine very good too. Lovely sitting on comfy chairs at table in room looking out on the view with a sea breeze with a cup of tea. Breakfast was delicious and generous portions, served by lovely man, sorry forgot name! Both staff we met were very helpful and pleasant. You would enjoy your stay for sure and I will definitely return here again.

We were on the top flight which was quite a trek but we benefitted from lovely room, views and gentle sea breeze.

The location is great, rooms are lovely and comfortable. We were on the top floor, with 8 flights of stairs to climb, but that was fine for us. We could open the two large windows and leave them open to let the breeze blow through,the weather was warm so this was ideal. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.

The bar in the lounge closed at 5pm and the room was locked as the staff went home. A little disappointed as we would have like to have a drink before we went out for dinner. It was a shame but found plenty of bars in the Lanes, so not and massive problem.

Staff very welcoming. Room very clean and comfortable with useful mini fridge and tea, coffee, cookies fresh milk, plus free bottles of still & sparkling water in the fridge. Facility to top up water and beverages near reception. Had chaise longue in my room by the window with view to the sea. Bed very comfortable. Spacious bathroom with monsoon shower and lovely deep bath. Plenty of power sockets in room. It was quite warm during my stay so there was a floor standing fan which was very effective. Good choice for breakfast and decent portion size. Very tasty too!

Beautiful building, great location, very clean, lovely staff. Breakfast was delicious. Quirky fun, but tasteful decor. No air con due to age of building, but brilliant Dyson fans provided and we were very comfortable. We’d highly recommend this beautiful hotel and the team who run it.

I didn’t not like anything other than a slight smell of damp at the entrance, but inside smelled fresh and was immaculately kept. I do think for the money they could have refreshed the tea bags on room service, but I’m sure they would have done had I asked.

Such a beautifully designed room and breakfast room/bar. Everything has been well thought of and we loved the little touches likes having floor to ceiling windows in the bathroom looking into the bedroom - unique and special. Staff were absolutely wonderful - greeting us as the door, always smiling and friendly and genuinely interested in you Breakfast was delicious -such as good choice of menu and beautifully presented and so tasty Had a very stiff drink at the bar in the evening - again, good quality ingredients and well presented Papa Negroni. A lot of attention to detail here.

It rained! Nothing to do with the hotel!!!!! There was a homeless lady living in a tent in the garden opposite the hotel which is always sad to see in terms of people being homeless when others are not.

From our arrival James was an amazing front of house. All the staff were fantastic. James thoroughly spoilt us. Breakfast probably the best breakfast I have had in accommodation. Room was lovely and comfortable. Special little touches to include still and sparkling water on tap, little sweeties naughty naughty (but great idea) in the rooms, china crockery for your coffee in the morning which is a must. All in all as you can tell , the 12 in our party were all 'over the moon' with in particular James, staff and the Square Town House.

Only a minor blimp I thought my room was a little dark whilst getting ready female applying makeup

Everything was great, I had a comfortable weeks stay. Although I had the cozy king at the top of the house the excellent use of space didnt make it feel small. Everything was clean and well looked after and the staff were great and helpful. The young lady that checked me in even carried my case bless her it was heavy!!! I will be back in a personal leisure capacity and with work when our conference is next in Brighton.

Only one very slight issue the fridge in my room didnt get cold much but wasnt an issue
