The staff was very kind and patient, everyone was very hospitable and cheerful. I also liked the way they related to me and my sister, trying to accommodate our requests and above all the different language. The reception was incredible. I can give you another example: my sister and I realized that we didn't have an adapter that we could use to charge our phones and a guy at the reception was very kind in advising us where to find it and go and buy it. These are things that may seem trivial to some people, but they are not. Kindness is innate and it is beautiful to find it in these types of contexts. The location of the hotel is very convenient, both for reaching the center and for taking a walk along the seafront and then it is right near the Brighton Pier. We had breakfast included and there were many alternatives, both for a savory breakfast and for a sweet breakfast (as we are used to in Italy). Furthermore, being allergic to lactose and eggs, I have found alternatives to be able to eat too. Only advice: I would opt for adding something more vegan and/or vegan desserts. Among other things, the staff was very kind upon departure, as we had breakfast paid for that day too but unfortunately we had an early train to reach the airport and they prepared a box for us so we wouldn't miss breakfast or make a refund. Skilled in finding effective and fast solutions. The room was a normal size, with a somewhat vintage style. Very pretty. So thank you very much.

The thing that I personally would improve is that there was carpet as the floor, which although beautiful and functional in retaining the heat, also retains a lot of dirt or dust if you don't do a proper daily cleaning. As mentioned in the box above, another aspect that I would improve is certainly the integration of vegan desserts at breakfast. Nothing more because I think everything was perfect.

The receptionist was so kind to accommodate us last minute, as we were just here for the day and when we arrived, we were surprised by an unexpected downpour! I have a 10-year-old son with autism, and it was frustrating not to be able to swim in the ocean because it was cold and raining! I immediately went online and booked a room, and even though it was three hours before check-in, they allowed us to use the pool and our room before check-in time. This was comforting for my son, who could have had an anxiety attack because he couldn't handle waiting hours! The room was very comfortable and clean, the hallways were quiet, and the entire staff was so kind and friendly! We loved being there and will definitely be back! Once again, I want to thank and praise the receptionist for her empathy and kindness. I don't remember her name, but she had a beautiful tattoo, and this professional deserves all the care, respect, and recognition! Thank you, beautiful tattooed lady.

- Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night - our room faced a club and busy corner pub so quite a lot of noise distruption into the early hours but as expected in a city that doesn't sleep lol

Nice Sea view, and comfy bed. Afternoon Tea was fabulous, and generous, such that we were still eating it in the following days. Staff were helpful and adaptable. Lovely upper and lower promenade walks or runs got to by simply crossing the road. Only £6.50 taxi from station, or can walk less than a mile with your cases. Pool access was a nice extra. Excellent buffet breakfast, good quality food.

Just an observation, I am 6'2" yet bath side was a bit of a step for me to climb over. It was too much for my wife who is a foot shorter. Next time I visit, I will make request for a standalone shower, perhaps a bathroom where stepping into it is not so much of a challenge

The Spa was superb. The room initially offered to us was not suitable as it had no air-con only fan which took us by surprised. If it had been a more standard and powerful fan then would have managed but it was a cheap one. We went to reception to complain. The male staff, Dominic was fantastic and took our complaints in. We explored other options and agreed to have T2 and paid the difference which i was happy with as I came to Brighton for my birthday and it not want it ruined. When i booked with Booking.com, i was unaware about the hotel being an old building with no airconditioner in rooms. The reception service was great

I have visited here once before and found the location very convenient and staff very friendly and helpful . I will most likely stay here again . Good eco policy re cleaning rooms & paragon -free soaps & gels .

I noticed last time ( 2 years ago ) that the arm chairs both in the rooms and the dining area are quite old . Worn and grubby looking . These really need replacing . On my first morning shower I was using a ‘ new ‘ towel put on the rail for me , only to discover to my horror 2 huge black marks on the towel ( looked like mascara stains ) . I reported this and it was immediately dealt with and I received extra new fresh towels . I would like to see a choice of unsweetened muesli oats at breakfast as there is only cornflakes , Rice Krispies and coco pops in the cereal section . What a shame so few people seem to have dinner at night . Prices are quite high . I had a kiddie meal to keep costs down but mostly it is deserted at night .

The hotel is in a good location, the sea is just across the road! The apartment probably needs more TLC and I did mention to the staff members that it is not their fault. This was my 2nd time in here. The swimming pool is perfect, small but ok and clean, not much chance to use the gym for my health issues but seems full of members. I will be back, maybe the normal rooms.

As mentioned before the apartment needs a bit of a refresher, some normal vibrations from the fridge, and the wood flooring but I managed to sleep. The glass from the induction cooker was cracked and I reported, still working. In the beginning, they gave me the wrong room, didn't have the cooking facilities, just a sink with plates and a fridge but was immediately fixed, and fully apologised. Mistakes happened and I was early anyway, no harm done!
