Great little place, as a solo female I felt very safe the only thing I would say is that I would prefer to be able to lock the door from the inside myself as an extra peace of mind as the door is auto locking, just a bolt on the inside would be great. It was one street away from my bosses leaving party venue so perfect and I felt safe returning in the early hours on my own

Nothing i was actually pleasantly surprised, its small and cosy but more modern than most chain hotels, I liked the microwave even though I didn't use it and the coffee machine with oat milk sachets was brilliant the next morning. I would actually prefer to stay in a room like that again than a chain hotel.

Blok-74 is in a great location. The sea front, bars and restaurants are literally around the corner. The check in system was brilliant. The manager stayed in contact before, during and after our stay so we knew there was someone available if we needed anything. We booked a small double room. It had everything we needed and more than we expected. There was an iron and ironing board. Hair dryer, microwave, kettle and coffee machine along with crockery and cutlery. A great shower. It was clean and tidy. All wonderful.

I feel slightly mean only giving 9 out of 10, and the only reason is that I would have liked an extra pillow. I'm sure if I would have asked it could have been provided, but we were only there for 2 nights and we had a pretty busy schedule.

It was clean, colourful, and I really appreciated the little touches like the earplugs and eyemask, and the lovely wee body wash samples in the bathroom. It felt high end even though the price was excellent.

While I really appreciated the ease of the code based entry, the fact that my door had no manual internal lock really freaked me out. I'm sure you're extremely careful and change the codes for each guest, use new ones for each door etc, but as a woman travelling alone, I felt really unsafe not being able to lock the door from the inside. I ended up stuffing towels under the door to wedge it shut, and even so, had an uneasy night. I appreciate that the code system is smart and means no staff need to be onsite, but I recommend you install a simple bolt on the inside, or at least provide a safety wedge for people to put under the door themselves. It's just a peace of mind thing. Unless I know that to be the case, I wouldn't stay here again without bringing my own door stop.

Lovely owners!! Gave a very helpful guide and answered messages really fast! No storage hold on site but they did give recommendations for luggage storage around Brighton which I used!! Great location, right next to the sea and a 10 min walk from just about everything, the lanes, the pier, very central!!

The shower was very small, as someone who’s almost 6ft, it was a very tight fit. Also, very dusty everywhere and someone’s used toiletries were left in the bathroom. The bed moved every time I moved like it wasn’t very secure/screwed together properly and squeaked veryyyy loudly

The location very close to seafront & to visit the lanes also not far to local pub where we had tickets for a gig Everything you need for an overnight stay & the bed was surprisingly comfortable! Nice shower with good pressure Plenty of towels also liked the fabby little toiletries face masks & earplugs nice touch The TV had no signal for terrestrial but the platforms such as netflix youtube ect all good The room was warm enough with a good working radiator Hardly heard much external noise Overall the room was clean Liked the industrial aesthetics but not the carpet maybe wood laminate flooring more in keeping & easier to clean? Felt safe & secure & like the concept of this smart hotel For the money was great! When visiting for future gigs we will deffo be back!

The fire alarm kicked off early evening from another room upstairs from us but having called the contact number in the " Bloc 74 App" the situation was dealt with promptly & sorted We did for a shortwhile have to evacuate our room ( safety & noise of alarm ) & stand in street but having said that it was a nice opportunity to meet the other guests & have a chat!

The room was amazing, clean, and very comfortable. The property is conveniently located near all the essential facilities and amenities, including the town center, making it super accessible. It's a great value for the cost, offering a fantastic stay overall. Highly recommend this place for its quality and convenience!

There’s not much negative to say about this room. It can get a little chilly at times, and the room feels a bit old, but honestly, those are minor things compared to how great the overall experience was

Great location. Minutes from the beach so great for a morning swim and a walk. There are lots of great bars and restaurants along the water. 5-10 minutes into the The Lanes for a wander and a look around. The check in/check out process was seamless. We were given earplugs and eye masks which worried us a bit, as it was a Saturday night, but we had no issues with noise from inside or outside.

It was pretty small for what we paid, you are definitely paying for the location. Recommendations: - Room Four needs hooks in bathroom (to hang towels and swimmers) and out of bathroom to hang bags/hats/clothes, as there is no cupboard only a metal grate with 3 hangers. - Bathroom is lovely and modern but it needs an extractor fan - We had a problem where the light wouldn't turn off all the way at night (I suspected the dimmer was broken) but have passed this on to the owner after we left.

I really enjoyed my stay. The location was excellent, and the room had everything I needed — a microwave, dishes, a coffee machine, a kettle, a table and chairs, an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer, a comfortable bed, and a TV.

The only thing I was not satisfied with was the cleanliness of the room and bathroom — there was a lot of dust, and in the bathroom, I found someone’s hair on the towel.

Great location in the town, access codes all worked well. Everything provided that was needed for a night's stay.

Perhaps double glazing at some point may be needed... it's located opposite a very loud nightclub with joyful revellers' shouts echoing off the passageway walls adjacent to the room until 3am - despite the very thoughtful earplugs and eye masks provided - the noise simply cuts through. So if you're out and about late, it's perfect for you.

The property is in a great location to both the beach and the town, the design and features were modern and interesting with additional amenities you wouldn’t have expected. The room was a nice size, lovely extra touches and great hosts.

The window in room one rattles continually. It’s an old sash window, I would put frosted covering on it too as people can see straight in from the road.
