Every staff member, from reception to the restaurant, greeted us with exceptional warmth and friendliness, genuinely making us feel welcomed. The breakfast we enjoyed was of top-quality. The toiletries used are L'Occitane. Additionally, the hotel’s location is very convenient, situated comfortably between Brighton Pier and the i360 Tower.

Although the bathroom was clean and stocked with lovely L’Occitane toiletries, we did run into a couple of issues: 1) The toilet flush didn’t work consistently; 2) The shower temperature was difficult to control — the water was extremely hot, and the mixer felt loose, which may have been the cause. When we reported these problems the next morning, the hotel responded promptly, changing our room and even giving us an upgrade. Everything worked perfectly in the new room.

Fabulous hotel in a great location of Brighton! This was our first trip to Brighton as a little family to celebrate my 30th birthday and we’re so pleased we chose to stay at Hotel Du Vin; the hotel itself is really beautiful (inside and out), and well laid out. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating in every aspect. We stayed in the Swiss Wine room which was well decorated, with good facilities provided, very clean and very comfortable! We all slept so well (The air con was an absolute plus on this front as I tend to feel the heat very quickly, so this was a very welcomed addition to the room!). The hotel staff also ensured we had a travel cot prepared in the room; already made up with sheets and a little duvet, as well as a changing mat and purpose nappy bin readily available in the room which was very handy! The bathroom was fabulous with a large comfortable bath and shower; plenty of towels provided and lovely toiletries too - couldn’t have wanted anything more. The location is a pebbles throw from the beach and within easy walking distance to local shops, bars, cafes, etc. There is a restaurant within the hotel which unfortunately we didn’t get to try, however the menu looked fabulous. A little pricey but it was to be expected with its location and the hotel itself being so well maintained and managed; we just chose to eat elsewhere as we were exploring the local area. Overall a fabulous stay and we would love to come back to visit again.

Location is brilliant Staff incredibly helpful & friendly

I couldn’t find any instructions on how to contact reception using the bedside phone. Really annoyingly there is no 3 pin plug by the bed. My partner has to use a CPAP machine to breathe at night & we always forget until getting ready to bed when he has to get dressed to go & ask for an extension lead which then has to trail across the room. This is dangerous if you need to go to the bathroom during the night. It’s a serious flaw in the room layout. Lots of people use CPAP machines so why no3 pin plug by the bed? We waited ages for a hot chocolate from the bar staff. They were very apologetic when they realised we’d been forgotten & didn’t charge for them. I only mention these things because both happened in exactly the same way when we stayed here last year!

It was well decorated in the style I like. We had a suite with a sea view and two free standing baths. However the baths, I noticed once I had started running them, had dirty rings round the sides of BOTH of them. I did tell the receptionists discretely and would have left it there but they were indifferent. I suggested they mention it to housekeeping which one of the receptionists acknowledged

I liked the overall appearance. But there wasn’t a lift. We were on the second floor and I struggled with the stairs as I have a bad knee.

The staff there are excellent as usual. Especially the 2 ladies that do the breakfast service, one of them is called Christina, the Assistant Bar Manager and the evening restaurant Manager Mo. Exceptional service they cannot do enough for you in making you feel special during your stay.

Everything was excellent highly recommend it's not the cheapest hotel and the food can be a little expensive, They do however need to revamp the menus that have additional costs written excessively small and no explanation as to why your paying the extra. That is a very small grumble but on the whole outstanding.

Loved just about everything. The hotel had a really nice lounge with other areas to sit, inside and outside, including an enclosed roof area. The restaurant is also very good with lovely food and a high level of service. All the staff are lovely and very welcoming.

The room was a bit small with no desk area or a chair to make it a bit more comfortable. There was also nowhere to put on makeup and no full length mirror. Was a bit expensive for the room

Excellent hotel staff extremely professional, breakfast excellent value, the only slight complaint I would make is the room I stayed in was very close to another room to get to my room I had to use three doors so did the other guests unfortunately they were just letting the doors slam shut this disturb me late at night early in the morning.

Perhaps someone could stop the doors slamming so hard when the door closes or just put a sign on the doors asking guests to close the doors quietly.

We love this hotel, and stay here whenever we are in Brighton.The location is hard to beat, and every member of staff is welcoming and helpful. They also serve a great breakfast! The building feels steeped in history with a great atmosphere and beautifully decorated.

We love our usual room (Robert Mondavi), but the bathroom radiator is still taped (leak). However, this is only a minor issue, and it remains a lovely hotel, and it wouldn't stop us from returning or requesting the same room..

A good location once we located a place to park. Easy walk to the pier etc and not far from the Royal Pavilion, one of our reasons to be in Brighton. Lovely staff, helpfully moving us to a room without three flights to climb. Very comfortable bed, super ensuite bathroom. The usual excellent Hotel du Vin breakfast and light meals in the evening so as to fully enjoy the breakfast!

Our only downside was car parking - not the hotel's fault, of course - which was £42 and perhaps over five minutes walk away to a below ground multi-storey. Unfortunately, 'London prices', as somebody suggested. And that is the only reason we would say the location was any less than superb. Maybe this was taken into account in the room rate.

Fab location close to the seafront and the town. Friendly welcome. The building is beautiful too. We love Hotel du Vin for their elegant interiors and great food and service, and in these respects, the Brighton branch didn't disappoint. The best piña colada in town! Comfy bed. Nicely appointed room with lovely Toiletries.

We were in Beringer, one of the classic rooms. The bathroom looked a bit tired in places and could have done with repairs to the grout and bath panel and a little more attention to cleaning the less obvious areas like around the overflow and taps, but still a nice bathroom.
