It’s a great location, and the staff were very kind and friendly. It was clean as well. It was a smaller room, but honestly not too bad.
It was very hot, even with the fan and window open. I’m not sure if that’s cause of the kitchen being close or not, but the weather was warm as well when I visited. It also smelled a bit too, again could be cause of the warmth of the room? The safe didn’t have any instructions on how to actually set a code. I think staff would’ve helped with this though but I wasn’t too bothered so I didn’t ask.

The pub has an excellent location in central Hove. In the area there are plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. It is also very close to the beach. The Hove train station is 15 walk away. The pub serves food that is good and staff are very nice and helpful. The pub does not serve breakfast but it is not a problem as there are plenty of coffeeshops nearby. The attached photo is a wall in our room. Very nice!
Nothing really

Gorgeous looking pub with easy check-in and lovely staff. Location was close to the high street with lots of shops, as well as the beautiful Hove lawns. The pub itself was a warm atmosphere to experience and we always enjoyed returning for a quick pint before heading back out.
Our room was adjacent to the beer garden, meaning you were subjected to the volume of some late-night punters. Our room didn't particularly have a lot of privacy as our window was near a thoroughfare. Parking was also not very accessible nearby.

The room was well appointed, clean comfortable and quiet. We loved the mural on the bedroom wall (see photo) and another in the corridor. Great for food and drink. We had a couple of their small plates on the lunchtime when we arrived, and main meals one evening. All were excellent. There is a good range of real ales and of wines. We left the car at home in Cambridge and took the direct Thameslink train to Brighton. We chose this place because it was handy for Hove rail station, for frequent buses into the city centre from nearby stops, and the pub menu looked good.
If the place could be put on a low-loader and moved next to Hove rail station it would be even better. Oh, that's silly isn't it?

A very comfortable room above the pub, excellent bed, good wifi and TV, modern bathroom, well heated and friendly and helpful staff. And of course there is also the very cosy pub just below with an interesting menu and a full range of drinks which is clearly a busy community facility with a pleasant outside area which would be wonderful in the summer. Not right by the beach but if the location suits, as it did for me, then I can certainly recommend the Stirling Arms.
In my case nothing.

Friendly staff, bright and comfortable, excellent beer, excellent beer garden. Food was great, the ox tail curry was superb and I will be back for more. Parking was possible when I needed it which isn't something that generally applies in Brighton and Hove. Central enough location to enjoy Hove, quiet enough that I had a good night's sleep each time.
The room was warm from the sunshine but with windows open and a fan it was ok. I didn't like that I couldn't book continuous nights next week and the week after, the word has got out and this place is popular! Good luck to the wonderful team running the place, it seems you are doing the right thing.

Good location in decent neighbourhood, close to centre of Hove. Over a pub so a little noisy until 11- not good if you want an early night. Good room facilities, very comfortable bed and good strong shower.
Right next to the kitchen so a tiny bit of a food smell. Didn’t feel entirely comfortable knowing no one from the place was on the premises at night.

Loved the location, so close to main bus routes, lovely and quiet area. Staff were welcoming and helpful, room was spotless and the bed was very comfy. Room had dark curtains for sleeping in and had everything you’d need, complimentary water, tea, coffee, biscuits, ironing board and iron. Couldn’t fault it and will be back.
Nothing!

Just a short walk from the train station, a family we were visiting. Accommodation is just as described and ideal for a short break. Comfortable bed, a good shower and nice selection of tea's & coffee's which were topped up daily. We were expecting a certain amount of noise being a popular public house but pleased to say the soundproofing was excellent with no street noise at closing time.
It would have been nice to be able to have breakfast on site, but there were plenty of cafes nearby.

The rooms are beautiful, quiet as in no noise from the pub, and v easy to get into Brighton. Food excellent as were the staff.
Paper thin walls which meant we were woken up v early by someone having a shower. V over-priced considering no breakfast and no parking. We paid more as it was the marathon weekend but having done a quick check on their own website it would still be £169 for one night which is not value for money.
