Beautiful location and very helpful staff who were able to move me from a top bunk to a single bed after I spoke to them about an injury I had.

The house keeping was confusing, no set place to put your towel that matched with your bed (so no one got confused with towels), no one came to make my bed (as expected) but one day all my things were moved and my bed was made. Very confusing.

I found the placing of the beds in the shared room really awkward. It was a 4 peoples room with 1 bunkbed and to singles. I stayed in the single, but the other single bed was very very close by. Luckily nobody slept in the other single bed.

Looking back this place was great. It was cheap and you get according service. If you look at the price, this place was absolutely great. Rooms are big and clean. If we asked something it was picked up by the staff. The location was pretty good.

They asked for my credit card data including cvc code in Cas "we smash up the room". Like I asked multiple times to delete this data after we leave, since this is not secure for me. Breakfast was weird, but the second day we understood how it works. Just ask the people for food and drinks 🤣🤣 Parking is shit, 25-35 gbp in nearby parking. Heating could not be turned off in the rooms, it was hot at 3am. Anyhow this was a good laugh and revisit for sure next time.

The room was fairly basic but had a very pleasant vibe. The breakfast was continental but with a definite Brighton twist. We loved the toasted sandwiches. The reception staff were very friendly.

The staff on duty at breakfast seemed to be generally annoyed that we had come for breakfast in the later part of the allotted time. Breakfast is served 8-11 and we arrived at 10:20 to be told that there was only what we could see. The breakfast was nice, and we had plenty but the welcome could definitely have been warmer. Another minor thing was the size of the cups and glasses in the room. While they were very aesthetically pleasing they were tiny! To make a decent cup of tea you had to leave the bag in and top up 3 times to get a normal cups size. And to have a glass of water you needed to stand by the sink and refill several times. Not a deal breaker but a bit annoying.

Thought it was derelict from the front due to messy scaffolding etc. However, lovely big clean room if a bit tatty. Incredibly comfortable bed, great location, and well placed for the beach and restaurants.

The breakfast was awful. They really need to improve their offer. You had to ask for a coffee and the person made it using a Dulce Gusto machine you’d have in your kitchen not at all suitable for providing coffees to numerous people staying at a hotel. Also used a home toaster so inevitable queues for that and the coffee. Cereal served in a tea cup and only one type. Honestly, we ended up laughing about it as it was so bonkers.

Great location, sea front room with bath to soak in… fabulous view … 2 minutes from conference centre … lovely staff especially the blonde chap with the Gorillaz t shirt … chatty helpful friendly … made me feel like nothing was too much trouble

Only thing is that there was a sign about booking directly with hotel with good rates … but for my next trip still cheaper on booking.com and I wanted to book exactly the same room as it was perfect … you can’t do that … if I’m paying a non refundable fee … I’d want to know it was 100% the right room (which is available the dates I’m asking)

West beach hotel is a very nice place to stay.  It's an old building but tastefully renovated. I stayed in a dorm and was lucky enough to get a bed in a spacious room with a sea view. There was a large enough locker for which you didn't need any padlock. In the room there was a large bathroom. Towels were included and the bed was made when I arrived. The bed was large and equipped with a double power socket. I paid a very decent price for two nights and breakfast was included. I thought the breakfast was very good with ready-made toasts with ham. There was also really nice bread, not just the ordinary white bread. With that you could have real quality marmalade. There was nice yoghurt with different cereals and pancakes. To drink there was tea, coffee, orange juice and apple juice. I was really satisfied with my stay and would recommend this hotel/hostel.

It was a bit cold in the room because it was very windy during my stay. But that was easily solved with an extra radiator.

Lovely staff, the facilities were great and the rooms were spacious and comfortable (and warm!). Great central location with a lot of restaurants on the same street even and just off the sea front. Even without a specific sea view room we had dorma windows so still got to see the sea from our room which was an added bonus. The breakfast was good, nespresso coffee and a selection of food options to pick from (continental style). The hotel was wheelchair accessible too, and while they did have an issue with the lift being out of order on our second day it was fixed really quickly and we're able to provide us with alternative arrangements if need be which was amazing.

At the time of our stay they were undergoing renovations. However, this didn't particularly affect our stay at all, just meant that the foyer or hallways was a bit cramped at times with workmen coming through. We never had any issues with noise or mess or anything and it was all done with ample consideration to the guests staying there.

Not a problem for us but when booking consider the fact that it is in the city centre therefore some street noise etc (to be expected)

Staff were so friendly, room a good size, bed was extremely comfortable, shower was ok did the job, great location on sea front. Loved tea/ coffee making in the room. Whoever is in charge of housekeeping is doing a fantastic job, the room was exceptionally clean.

I understand the hotel has been taken over not too long ago so it obviously needs some TLC, upon arriving the place looks shut down, nothing like the lovely photos online, so that did make you feel like you’ve made a mistake , there was no signage and could do with a good sweep just outside, it could do with a T.V. in the room, there is a plug on the wall where one may go so unsure if this is something they are getting round to. Breakfast was not the greatest and to be honest I would not pay for that again, it just was not of good value although the ham and cheese were good quality and the actual room was lovely. Curtains were dirty but not outrageously bad just needs a wash.
