The Gather Inn is a great place to stay. Great price. Very comfortable. Parking outside. It is my 3rd visit.

I didn't like having to upgrade to £20 just for a room downstairs when id asked for a downstairs room well in advance and was told I did have a downstairs room. Also the WiFi was down for the whole stay which meant I couldn't use my phone properly. This did put a dampener on an otherwise comfortable stay.

The room was lovely, lots of space, good facilities, clean with comfortable beds. A fan was available which helped to cool the room as the weather was hot. The welcome was warm and the staff were helpful. We ate our evening meal at the pub and the food was good. The Gather Inn is located on a main road, but noise was not a problem and we were able to use public transport to access Brighton centre. Would go back there, highly recommended.

Parking is the only real issue, which the staff are aware of. If staying for more than one night, easier to use the parking metres and pay for the required time you need.

Check-in was welcoming and simple. Room was clean, a decent size and well equipped with WiFi, TV, Kettle & tea/coffee etc. The window overlooked Wharf Road where our car was parked, with a view of the area by the lagoon and towards the more distant sea. The beds were comfortable. The shower room was very compact but had all the usual facilities one might expect which worked ok and nice towels supplied. We were able to park for free near the rear of the inn for the duration of our one night stay. The inn does not do breakfasts but our needs were met by a cafe just across the main road. Check-out by 10 a.m. was even simpler - just deposit the room key in the box provided on your way out. We noted that for people staying at the inn and needing food during the day or evening there is a 10% reduction in published menu prices, which is a nice touch. The Gather Inn ticked all our boxes for our one-night stopover.

The uncertainty that we would be able to find a vacant parking place when we arrived. There are a limited number of these to the front and rear of the inn and they are soon snapped up.

The location was great, a couple of miles outside Brighton Centre but easy to get the bus in and out. It also overlooked Hove Lagoon and there was free parking directly outside. The room was a good size with a lovely large window, so nice and bright. The bathroom was basic but fairly new and clean. This was a great base for a Brighton weekend and we would stay again.

Unfortunately, the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Just unfortunate, not their fault. We were soon able to get back into our rooms. There was no breakfast served on the Sunday but we had a great cooked breakfast at a cafe over the road.

Arrived early, but the receptionist quickly explained the parking procedure. Told us about the quiz evening and explained access doors and key returns. When we came down for evening meal - great food and plenty of it -- we were warmly welcomed. Quiz was brilliant - we joined forces with two crazy, zany locals who were so much fun and two lads who were cajoled to join in. Hannah, who asked the questions, was just great, so friendly and welcoming. Everyone made us so welcome, and we will certainly be booking again.

Really lovely little room, we had our own bathroom with a balcony leading out to it too with a lovely view of the lido and people doing water sports. Our room was comfortable and clean, and well worth the money for my son and I for our 3 night trip. The owners and all the staff were extremely friendly and made our stay wonderful. Also for breakfast there’s a lovely little cafe called “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” across the road for your breakfasts/ fry ups/ bacon sarnies till about 5pm.

The accommodation and the property all round I have no complaints about whatsoever!!! A million percent I would stay here again if going to Brighton and Hove! The only thing I would make anyone aware of is they’re not RIGHT in main brighton, you’re a 5/10 minute straight bus route away; and that wasn’t even an issue for us! Even then the bus is only £2 for an adult and 50p for a child or teenager, so really cheap!!!

Despite 4 beds the room was not cramped, plenty of tea/coffee etc, clean and comfy beds. Bar and kitchen staff friendly and helpful, great meal, good size and good value too. Easy to find and great views, close to the beach for walking, despite storm Bert.

The room without heating on was very warm, no catch on the window so could partly open it as storm Bert just blew it fully open (health and safety if children had been in the room). Bit confusing where the free parking starts/end but that's down to the council not the hotel.

I had a very nice stay here. The room was comfortable and clean and very good value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a good atmosphere in the bar. The food was great too. It was easy to get in and out, even late at night, without any fuss and I found free parking very close. The rooms have great views of Hove Lagoon and there's easy access to the rest of Hove and town along the seafront.

Some of the furniture could be refreshed but I was in a family room and it was more than adequate for what it is. My room was at the top of the building and there isn't a lift but this was clear when I booked and was no issue for me at all.

The hotel is in a great location, just a 10-15 minute bus ride to the center of Brighton, and within walking distance of the beach. It's situated next to a scenic lagoon and a lovely park. While the hotel doesn't offer breakfast, there's a charming café called Tiffany's right across the road, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast.

The noise from adjacent rooms and footsteps in the hallway can be heard from inside your room. Additionally, the hotel lacks a dedicated parking area, so guests must park on the street, which is free but limited to 4 hours.

Clean and tidy room. Huge, comfortable bed. Hot shower. As our room was at the top of the house, there was a nice view of the lagoon and sea beyond. It meant there was a steep climb up three flights of stairs, and while that could be a problem for those with mobility issues, we were ok with that. Also, being an attic room, there were low, angled ceilings. It wasn’t a problem - and we are both tall - we felt it added to the character of the room. Great that there’s free parking (within certain times) Good location for Brighton and Hove Greyhound racing and for a brisk walk into Brighton along the promenade. No breakfast provided, but a choice of two excellent cafes directly opposite.

The bathroom was perfectly adequate, but very small. The supply of milk for tea/coffee could have been more generous, and some biscuits would have been most welcome (we did ask and were given some). A bedside table on only one side of the bed; another one would have been appreciated.
