The welcome at the reception was really friendly and told us everything we needed to know. We found free car parking easily in front of the Inn. The room was spacious and was decorated very nicely with practical items like lots of tables, a bedside lamp, separate areas of lighting. The sofa bed was actually super comfortable. I liked the magnifying mirror in the bathroom. There were plenty of towels and hanging space for clothes. I loved that there were teas and coffees in the room, and lots of mugs and drinking glasses. The staff were really responsive to asking for more milk. They were also so flexible with food, and the portions served in the restaurant section of the pub are very generous in size, as are the drinks! The sea view was lovely in the day, and I loved the effective blackout blind in the velux window.

There were a few things that may have made the stay better - The elephant towel ring holder in the bathoom was loose and prone to falling off. There was no mirror outside of the small magnifying mirror in the bathroom, and there was space in the bathroom and in the walls surrounding it to put a full-length mirror. None of this played a huge influence on how lovely our stay was.

The Gather Inn is a great place to stay. Great price. Very comfortable. Parking outside. It is my 3rd visit.

I didn't like having to upgrade to £20 just for a room downstairs when id asked for a downstairs room well in advance and was told I did have a downstairs room. Also the WiFi was down for the whole stay which meant I couldn't use my phone properly. This did put a dampener on an otherwise comfortable stay.

The room was lovely, lots of space, good facilities, clean with comfortable beds. A fan was available which helped to cool the room as the weather was hot. The welcome was warm and the staff were helpful. We ate our evening meal at the pub and the food was good. The Gather Inn is located on a main road, but noise was not a problem and we were able to use public transport to access Brighton centre. Would go back there, highly recommended.

Parking is the only real issue, which the staff are aware of. If staying for more than one night, easier to use the parking metres and pay for the required time you need.

Check-in was welcoming and simple. Room was clean, a decent size and well equipped with WiFi, TV, Kettle & tea/coffee etc. The window overlooked Wharf Road where our car was parked, with a view of the area by the lagoon and towards the more distant sea. The beds were comfortable. The shower room was very compact but had all the usual facilities one might expect which worked ok and nice towels supplied. We were able to park for free near the rear of the inn for the duration of our one night stay. The inn does not do breakfasts but our needs were met by a cafe just across the main road. Check-out by 10 a.m. was even simpler - just deposit the room key in the box provided on your way out. We noted that for people staying at the inn and needing food during the day or evening there is a 10% reduction in published menu prices, which is a nice touch. The Gather Inn ticked all our boxes for our one-night stopover.

The uncertainty that we would be able to find a vacant parking place when we arrived. There are a limited number of these to the front and rear of the inn and they are soon snapped up.

Great location overlooking the lagoon and sea. Had clear, informative instructions via message after booking, and welcoming staff at the place. Room was clean, and a good size with a nice view. The bar was lovely, had a nice pint once we'd checked in.

The road behind the place got noisy in the morning with deliveries to the businesses next to the lagoon (it was Monday morning, and didn't really bother us though). The mattress is sprung, so was a little lumpy but we slept fine on it. Could hear the room above moving about. Can't complain too much though, as it was a good price.

The location was great, a couple of miles outside Brighton Centre but easy to get the bus in and out. It also overlooked Hove Lagoon and there was free parking directly outside. The room was a good size with a lovely large window, so nice and bright. The bathroom was basic but fairly new and clean. This was a great base for a Brighton weekend and we would stay again.

Unfortunately, the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Just unfortunate, not their fault. We were soon able to get back into our rooms. There was no breakfast served on the Sunday but we had a great cooked breakfast at a cafe over the road.

Room was actually okay for inn. We got a triple room with my friends . It was quite comfortable. The room was cozy and clean, staff were very friendly and the location was easy to find as its by the roadside. It was also next to sea so bonus points for the sea views and other surrounding lovely environment. The stuff were pretty friendly and helpful too.

The towels were a bit old i thought they could use a new set. The place didn't have a breakfast place but there was a lovely restaurant across that served really good breakfast.

Arrived early, but the receptionist quickly explained the parking procedure. Told us about the quiz evening and explained access doors and key returns. When we came down for evening meal - great food and plenty of it -- we were warmly welcomed. Quiz was brilliant - we joined forces with two crazy, zany locals who were so much fun and two lads who were cajoled to join in. Hannah, who asked the questions, was just great, so friendly and welcoming. Everyone made us so welcome, and we will certainly be booking again.

Really lovely little room, we had our own bathroom with a balcony leading out to it too with a lovely view of the lido and people doing water sports. Our room was comfortable and clean, and well worth the money for my son and I for our 3 night trip. The owners and all the staff were extremely friendly and made our stay wonderful. Also for breakfast there’s a lovely little cafe called “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” across the road for your breakfasts/ fry ups/ bacon sarnies till about 5pm.

The accommodation and the property all round I have no complaints about whatsoever!!! A million percent I would stay here again if going to Brighton and Hove! The only thing I would make anyone aware of is they’re not RIGHT in main brighton, you’re a 5/10 minute straight bus route away; and that wasn’t even an issue for us! Even then the bus is only £2 for an adult and 50p for a child or teenager, so really cheap!!!

This Hotel is excellent value for money.The room,though not large,was well equipped and very clean.The window offered a nice sea view. The bar was welcoming with a good range of drinks and a bar menu and the receptionist was very friendly and clear in her instructions for doors etc. The views from the bar were very pleasant and although parking is a bit difficult it is well worth the money.

Parking is difficult between 6 and 7 pm.
