Happy with the location and the facilities, impressed with the thought that had been given to a lot of the facilities, small things but all contribute, example torches in the rooms in case of power failures. Overall the general running of the place and the staff attitude. Special note the bar person that made the cocktails we had needs a special mention his Margaretas were as good as we've tasted and we've tasted a few !!!

Nit picking really but the little courtyard in number 3 could really be made into a major feature of the rooms with not a lot of effort. Our stay however was first class and most enjoyable. Check in and check out times perhaps could be reviewed at some point with perhaps a more fluid system or even a small charge to extend some times. Appreciating the problems this could cause but a point to consider.

A great location and the staff were so friendly & provided an excellent service. The bed was so comfortable, the bathroom clean & well equipped complete with dressing gowns & toiletries, and the mini bar was well stocked also. I appreciated that the windows opened as well as having heating/aircon. I didn't get a chance to try the food downstairs and I'm honestly a bit gutted because the menu looks delicious!

There's no reception or communal area for the rooms when the restaurant is closed - this really didn't impact me and I felt very safe but something to be aware of.

We stayed in the small double. The room and facilities were immaculate. Bed was super comfy, great bathroom, everything we needed was provided. The staff member who showed us our room was helpful. The food was very nice aswel.

My only grip was the restaurant manager. Very snooty women, and felt looked down upon, maybe a 35 yr old middle class couple is not the demographic she prefers but she didn't hide it and she made it obvious and this left a bad taste in my mouth.

The Ginger Pig was ideally located next to the seafront and within very close walking distance of central Hove. The room was very comfortable and with a spacious, well-equipped bathroom.

I had reserved a table for dinner but unfortunately my brother’s flight was almost an hour late at Gatwick and so we didn’t get to the hotel until 9.40 by which time the kitchen had already closed, although the opening times were advertised as up to 10pm. We were told the last customers had left over an hour ago so I suppose it would have been unreasonable for the kitchen to stay open just for us. Still, it was a little disappointing to have to walk into Hove to look for a late opening restaurant, especially when we were only staying the one night and had been impressed by the reports of the food.

Clean, simple, modern. Excellent facilities and location - 5 min walk to buses into Brighton, otherwise a lovely long stroll along the seafront. Delicious breakfast available too.

Our room was up in the eves which was fine for 5ft 2in me but a bit problematic for 6ft 1in partner. He felt a bit claustrophobic particularly in the bathroom. The very narrow steps and corridor up to the room could also be an issue for some.

These are basically relatively new rooms that have been added above and at the rear of an established pub/restaurant. The room looks new and very modern if a little spartan. The bed was very comfortable and there was a view of the sea out of a small window that you could see from the bed. The free-standing bath in the bedroom was a nice touch when combined with a separate modern quite large shower room and toilet. Full tea and coffee making equipment plus good quality toiletries from Cowshed. Check in was all done online as was check out. One of the pub/restaurant staff showed us to our room and went through all the facilities. We didn't have any problem with noise from the pub below whilst we were there. All was done with real friendliness and efficiency. The rooms are close to the Rockwater Hove restaurant and bar which is what brought us to the area.

We booked a day before good friday and so the price was more than double the 'normal' price for the room so somewhat expensive for one night. The image of the pub outside was OK but not in keeping with the room quality. Parking was either street-based or in a quite expensive car park in an area that i wouldn't want to hang about in for too long after hours. Didn't try out the food or hospitality in the ground floor pub/restaurant but it looked good quality and we would have tried it if we hadn't booked elsewhere.

Great tasting food and very friendly warm staff who had time for the customer. In the room, fresh bottled milk, a whole range of snacks. Generous and welcoming. Good tea bags. Great bathroom with excellent toiletries. Comfy Bed.

The décor. Dark and gloomy, paintwork scuffed and in need of redecoration. The dining room is dominated by a vast silvery stainless steel air conditioning pipe. Against a dark back ground it is a strong statement. It felt like a factory unit. In the morning the sun was shining but the dark, slightly tired decor made the dining room feel gloomy and a little unclean.

The bed was really comfortable and high quality bedding and towels. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was very clean.

The room felt very basic and student accommodation like for the price, especially as was sold/ advertised as a superior/ large room. Not enough storage space for clothes, only small hanging space, no drawers for non hanging clothes had to live out of case for 3 days. Shower cubicle leaked so bathroom floor was soaked and we had to use ALL our towels to soak it up. Although the staff replaced our towels without a fuss, they admitted they knew it leaked! Didn't expect that for an over £200 a night room, needed a shower after mopping floor! Also bed frame was rather noisy, even though mattress was comfortable and great bedding.

Friendly staff and good food. Nice restaurant atmosphere. Good location for looking around Hove. Parking easy a short distance away. Comfortable, well furnished, newly decorated bedroom snd bathroom.

Corridor to upstairs rooms a bit narrow - felt a little like a lot of rooms had been crammed into too small a space. Not exceptional value for money.

The room was very tastefully decorated, with nice little touches like Cowshed products, a coffee pod machine and digital radio that you can connect your smartphone to play your own tunes. The mini bar was well stocked and included a selection of glasses. The fridge also had a bottle of fresh milk! A nice surprise was finding air conditioning in the room, not always a given in the UK. We had a drink in the bar and had dinner in the restaurant. The food was really excellent, the drinks were good too. All the staff were really lovely and helped make it a pleasant stay.

Its a lovely, but old property. We were up the top and a couple of floorboards were squeaky so it might have annoyed people below. Also the windows let some noise in and the road was relatively busy. That said, there were ear buds in the bathroom, so they're obviously aware of this.
