Check in was great. We arrived early but were let in to our room 2 hours before the official check in time, which was a bonus.

Not a major gripe but a mild annoyance. I wanted to top up the car from the on-site chargers. Unfortunately, the Eon chargers required the use of their specific app, which wasn't an issue per se. The frustration was that they wanted my account to be pre-loaded with £15. Now I didn't need to charge, I was just going to as part of my general keeping on top of things routine but as I largely never encounter Eon chargers in my general life, I wasn't going to spend £15 of which only £5 would be needed for my top up. No big deal, just another one of those things where someone has tried but fallen just short of achieving mediocrity. I accept that this is largely beyond the control of the hotel so no blame to them.

Location great, room had everything we needed,

We didn't book the breakfast before arrival and we were not advised on booking in about breakfast or food facilities available during our stay as we were staying in the lodge, in the morning, we found out at the hotel reception that breakfast for us was in the black sheep, on going there, we were told by a member of staff she wouldn't be long, ten mins later, she said that breakfast options available were only breakfast baps (but didn't know how many left) or pastries (it was only 9.00am), we decided to go else were.

The rooms are so comfortable, shower is amazing. Nice and quiet. Apart from the odd door banging from other guests. The guys in the Black Sheep were so friendly. Remembered it was my birthday after only saying it once and he gave me a birthday cake on him x x lovely place. Didnt want to leave

One night we had a door from another near by room bang shut really loudly a good 10 times. The last time was well past 1am we always try to shut the door quietly when leaving instead of letting it slam shut. I think guests should be more considerate. Also, I have osteoarthritis in my back and would of loved to have a bath in the room.

Comfortable rooms, receptionist was helpful and efficient

The room we stayed in this weekend was clean, comfortable. Although the bathroom door didn't shut and wasn't enough milk/sugar/tea in the room for our 2 night stay, we had to go across the main aztec hotel to ask for more. Partly my fault, but thought booking a 2 night stay there would be enough for both evenings. A shame about bathroom door as wasn't the privacy needed as door would not close at all. Room 30 at the Lodge hotel.

Located Right next door to where my meeting was the next day. Clean building , room modern and very Clean , bathroom nice with one or to touch ups done that stood out not to neat . but over all very good value for money a good quiet nights sleep

Booking in , i didn't realise at first that i had to go across the road to the main hotel to book in. Time spent hanging around until I came across a sign not to well placed to see at first. Breakfast in main hotel far to expensive

There is a reason this place is always booked up. Yes its ideal location for work (hence all business travelers) but its just so practical, clean and easy. I have been coming for years and its my Fave place to stay, I just cant afford their busy/peak Tuesday rates. Staff are fantastic and the Manager is one of the nicest most helpful people. comfy beds, great showers, nice breakfasts, decent coffee and come/go as you please.

The Fire alarm. Its getting a bit of a reputation with the local businesses for "being the hotel with the faulty fire alarm" 5 colleagues on different occasions have all had this issue with the fire alarm going off more than once in middle of the night. I know some have been told its a spider, as I was.... Have a word with the spider will you please?

This place is conveniently located near the motorway outside of Bristol. Check-in was across the street in the "posher" hotel of this chain, which was fine. The room was spacious and clean, internet worked very well, lots of parking in front of the door. I didn't have to pay for parking because I stayed over the weekend; it may be different during the week.

I know that Bristol is an expensive location, but seeing that this hotel is nearly 20 minutes away from the city centre, it seemed a bit on the pricey side. Also, the food in the restaurant in the "posher" hotel of this chain was too expensive for what it was. It was fine and staff was helpful, but I felt the price–performance ratio was off.

First of all, the room was designed beautifully; a complete surprise. The floor layout, the shapes of the space, the artwork in such unusual sizes, the lighting. It was a delight. The blinds were a real treat compared to grey nets and the bed was wonderful. It was an easy walk to the bar and restaurant at the main hotel and we simply loved it. Again, the interior design was perfect for purpose and exceeded expectations in quality of art, use of space and lighting.

The only thing was limited access to easy public transportation to get us into Bristol. We felt a little cut off, but because the venue was so wonderful, it was OK.

Easy to find, perfect for a night stay to go out in Bristol.

The Black Sheep next door was the eating facilities. From the outside it looked like a nice family run Pub. On the inside it looked like a coffee shop you would find at a services. Breakfast let it down as there was a very limited choice. I was expecting a full English. What I got was a bit of bacon in a burger bun. No reflection on the staff and they were lovely.

Lovely for a budget hotel. Check in at Aztec West Hotel just over the road was only a very short walk and very easy. Comfortable bed and spacious room and bathroom. Hairdryer and tea/coffee with kettle provided. Location was great for us (we live in Bristol but as south as it gets, so stayed here as it was only a 6 minute taxi ride from a party in Bradley Stoke - value of this hotel meant it was the equivalent to if we had got a taxi back to where we live). It is on the M1 bus route (and T1 with a slightly longer walk to the stop) for anyone looking to go in and out of the City Centre but stay here for better value. Would stay again! Free parking over the weekend was a bonus.

The bathroom door couldn’t be locked as it doesn’t shut easily, but once given a big push it does eventually click and stays shut. Frosted glass bathroom door feels slightly awkward but you couldn’t actually see the person in there. Bathroom supplies are slightly limited and to note toilet cleaning brushes aren’t provided in rooms. You have to bring a physical payment card to check in over the road, even if you want to pay via your Booking.com payment method. The card machines aren’t set up for the Lodge so no Apple Pay available etc.
