The room was lovely, and we could barely hear noise from the pub downstairs. Earplugs and eyemasks were kindly provided by the hosts. Since we had to leave very early in the morning, it was great to have something to nibble for breakfast! I particularly appreciated having fresh milk and juice in the small fridge, along with biscuits and cereal to complement the usual coffee/tea setup. The bathroom was small but cozy, I even took a picture of their tiles because I liked them very much! We took up their suggestions to dine at the pub, and I have to say it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was lively as it was a Friday evening, and both the food and service were great.

i asked for a quiet room but was given a room overlooking the front, where people come and go. It was a quiet evening being a Tuesday, so I was not disturbed but feel that I would have been if people had sat outside my window and if it had been busy, for sure I would have been disturbed. But the man in charge of the pub was very kind. I think their blurb ought to say that rooms are all on first floor and overlook places where pub goers hang out. That would be more honest....

the property was lovely, the bed was comfy and snuggly and the linen was gorgeous. The staff were welcoming and very helpful.

It would have been great to have a mirror in the bedroom as it was difficult for drying my hair and putting on make up with only having one in the bathroom - but that is just an observation and didn’t detract from our stay. The other point was breakfast is continental rather than cooked which was not clear when booking. It was a lovely breakfast but I just mention it as we weren’t aware when booking and my husband lives a cooked breakfast (again not a show stopper - more a personal preference)

Pub was great (satisfied both beer and wine drinkers) Food was great - better than good pub food, but not too fancy either Room was excellent - very comfy bed, lovely bathroom, and excellent towels! And on top of all that, the service was outstanding, including a phone call to advise of road works and how to access parking.

The property was clean and decorated very well, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilizes excellent. An early check in was available and enable us to relax for our event rather than having to come back and checking mid event.

The weather was very hot and on the upper floor there are no opening windows or rooflights ( accepted this may be as a result of planning) this made the room quite warm. We were lucky to have a duplex and then slept downstairs where it was perfectly cool.

Location was great, room nice and modern and enjoyed the continental breakfast in the room. Great food and selection of drink in the pub.

Loud humming noise kept us awake despite ear plugs being provided. Believe it may have been the chiller for the pub

The property was set in a beautiful location and the family room was well laid out and very clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant that night and the food and atmosphere was amazing.

There were no negatives about our stay just a couple of feedback points that would make my score a 10. The smoke alarm in the bedroom has a green flashing light which went off every 20 seconds which made it hard to get off to sleep. My daughter was sleeping on the sofa bed in the lounge so would have liked a cover for window in the front door as you could see right in. not a problem if it’s just being used as a lunge but not so great when sleeping/getting unchanged. Continental breakfast was nice but we were assuming it would be a cooked breakfast as the pub/restaurant was attached. Think that needs stating it’s a continental breakfast when booking.

Big room, big bathroom with excellent shower. Tea & coffee, milk in room. Excellent bed linen. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast in room in a cupboard, & room keys could be left in post box. - good for early departure. Very friendly & helpful staff.

Breakfast was cereals & breakfast bars left in room which was ok but have had better.

The owner (landlord) fantastic, friendly and made most welcome The rooms felt like home warm and comfortable, breakfast was a great idea and the food top notch, thanks I will return.

We were very kindly gifted a free bottle of red for Valentine’s Day. Whilst there was no cooked breakfast, the alternative continental was amazing. The bed was the comfiest I’ve ever slept in
