The room was lovely, very pretty and clean. the Top House is in the centre of the village, so convenient for all the local shops, cafes and pubs. Free parking was a bonus too! Nice welcome when we arrived. Would/will come again. Thank you.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing as there was a fault with their cookers, no gas supply, but these things happen. It might have been nice to offer some sort of voucher for the bar as a thank you for understanding the situation. Just a thought. And our room wasn't refreshed. We didn't mention it as we had plenty of loo paper and so made do. Little things, that didn't spoil our stay.

The full Cornish breakfast was superb and so filling I never ate anything after the breakfast until early evening. The service was superb and all the staff we encountered were so very friendly. My wife and me returned to have a most enjoyable evening in your bar drinking and singing along with shanty evening was brilliant and all your other visitors had just a good an evening as we did. Thank you for your hospitality we will be back again next year and already looking forward to it hopefully for more than one night.

We booked a double room and were given a ground floor accessible room, which was very spacious and clean. Although not a modernised room, it was well equipped with coffee/tea things, hairdryer, iron etc. Bed was fairly comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Location was perfect as right in the middle of the village.

The ground floor room backed to one of the terraces of the pub and smoking from customers could easily come into the bedroom. We kept windows closed.

Beautiful location in the village, with a casual comfy atmosphere, was able to change rooms for a sea view at no extra cost due to being out of season. Rooms were very good and clean.

The food although good was a bit limited and slightly overpriced, The bathroom door in our room was hard to close properly without effort. The extractor fan didn't work either. A bit annoying that they only left enough milk in the room for one coffee/tea per day per person, did get extra on request though.

Great location, food not ridiculously overpriced & decent sized servings for veggies, unlike many places in Cornwall. Staff very good and room was clean as ever.

One really minor gripe which could be easily rectified. The coffee served at breakfast was wayyyyy too weak. I even asked for a stronger replacement & that too was undrinkable. Muscle up the coffee strength please. Apart from that, all was great.

Great location. Extremely friendly, helpful people. Delicious meals - Sunday roast fantastic. Towels fluffy. Wifi. Bedside lamps. Lovely atmosphere. Parking easy. Central for many walks along and to the spectacular coast. Amazing view to harbour. Many local crafts people. Would happily return if it wasn't such a long flight from Aus. Excellent value.

Great location, being near the Lizard but also the village itself. Plenty of free public parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice food. Clean and comfortable accommodation.

A little overpriced for a B&B with basic amenities. Bearing in mind the breakfast is extra. Large bedroom, but small bed and TV.

The wonderful atmosphere - particularly at meal times. The rooms were also lovely, clean and comfortable. The location was also amazing - lots of wonderful walks to soak up the quintessential beauty of Cornwall without having to spend time in the car.

Absolutely fabulous stay, very warm welcome, fabulous food we had homemade fish cakes for lunch, homemade chicken & ham pie for dinner, best pie 👌AND a slice of the most amazing caramel cake, a family run pub very accommodating, we felt very welcome so much so we’ve booked a return visit in August 😊

Flexiblity

Booking.com: I booked through them, but when I couldn't get a rental car the room stayed vacant, and I couldn't get a refund. That was stated during my booking. The next night I showed up without booking, but they had no vacancies, so I "slept" in my car. After hiking the Kaynance trail, I stopped in and they let me charge my phone. So all was not lost.
